Hey, gun nuts!

So are you measuring the width of the bullet then?

So all of a sudden, you put your trust in the government, huh?

;)

I'm not going to sift through hundreds of your inane posts to prove a point to you.

You believed it. You can back up on it like you back up on koalabear's cock if you want, but I could care less.

Next thing you know lil chihuahua will move to Texas and change his name to sloboutwest.

The diameter, yes.

What is confusing is the nomenclature, too. Thirty caliber is .308" in diameter, kind of like a 2x4 is not really 2" by 4" any more. Seven six two is the metric equivalent. Then the Brits, Russians, and Japanese used a .311" projectile and called it a 7.62.

It's a bit convoluted.

Ever seen a "we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone, for any reason" sign? They are in just about every privately owned place of buisness in Texas. It is only right for a person to tell who they want want to gtfo of their place of business, the only person they hurt is themselves.

As you re-call, huh?

Do you also re-call the call to arms from the right wing to pass gun control laws because of fear of an armed black insurrection?

Did you stand up for the right to bear arms at that time, for the Black Panthers?

Please let me know.

Wait for it...
:D

I would have had I been around at the time, who cares if a bunch of tards want to wave M16's around? Get out of their way and you wont get hurt, it is that simple....if they threaten you, shoot first. If they shoot first, shoot back.

Kinda like using .38 through the .357 as practice rounds because they are cheaper.

Even old 2x4s aren't quite 2x4, but they're definitely bigger than modern ones, that are closer to 1.5 wide than 2".

Can we all just get on the metric system already please?
:D

You'd have been in the minority of right wingers then. They were up in arms about it, and put gun control laws on the books to help prevent it from happening again.

Oh yeah, big controversy (not). Big topic for talk radio & a number of blogs/forums where people are looking for excuses to go frothing at the mouth.

I've been through Mason Co. According to the ad, there may, just may, be 3 or 4 people living there that he wouldn't sell seats in his class to, but they would not be the kind to be taking the class in the first place.

Rural Texas does NOT tend to attract many pro-Obama liberals, Arabs (Christian or not) or moslems of any stripe...

I'm not a right winger...in some aspects I am like being pro 2A. But I'm also left about it at the same time. If I have the right to roll aound with a .45 on my hip and full battle rattle in the trunk then every law abiding citizen should have the exact same right.

You fucking people. I just called the guy and he says it's sold, but it was an M1.

Speaking of 30 cal's I talked to a guy today that was going to CA for work and was wondering if he could take his Sprinfield M1A (M14)? I don't know enough about CA gun laws and didn't feel like reading pages upon pages of bullshit gun laws to figure it out, if anyone out in CA could clue me in I would appreciate it.

I don't know about bringing one in, but it has to be California legal. Has to have this muzzle brake installed:

http://www.buyspringfieldarmory.com/tag/california-legal-m1a/

20 round magazines are only legal in rifles that were manufactured before the ban went into place, otherwise they must have 10 round magazines. I am getting conflicting info on this. Check this Wiki article:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M1A_rifle

FFS CA has some retarded gun laws....I guess 10 rounders and a new muzzle break aren't so bad. Is the weapon less deadly with that muzzle break or something?

Clearly. That muzzle break makes it impossible to kill police officers and small children.

The purpose was to eliminate the bayonet lug because although no one had ever been bayoneted in California, the lug frightened liberals so they thought up the brake without a lug.:rolleyes:

Fucking dummies.
One of my all-time favorite posts on Lit was in an ancient thread entitled something like "A visual quiz for those who support the assault weapons ban" and involved the phrase "drive-by bayonettings."
Actually it's more efficient than the original flash hider.

I'm sure that was the intent of the law. They don't want anyone to get powder burns while being shot in the face at point-blank range.
