Hi new here

Hi Jade, So nice seeing you back. Glad you liked the pic. I loved the new one of you. No I don't think I will make it into the city this weekend. There is so much going on here and I have some house guest.

Hope you are enjoying this Canada Day weekend. Lets talk soon.

Welcome back, Jade.

You were missed as I'm sure you could tell. I think Canadian might be a little mad at me for accusing him of making off with you.

*(Canadian, I was just asking in my own irreverent way if you knew where she was)*

We did have a little go at it the other day; so.. what do you think of your promotion? I don't know if I would call it a flair for writing, I haven't done much in.. um... more years than I want to say. Mostly my writing these days is weekly departmental reports and proposals, but as I told you earlier, I would try role playing even though I su.. ahem.. am not good at improvisation or the role playing I did when D&D was popular.

The Cap'n is lobster red right now. I swear I stayed in the shade of the boathouse all day, but I came in this evening "COOKED". It must have been reflected light or I did all the damage when I was on the swim deck for 30 minutes or so. The lake was nice though, I got there about 8 last night, went to bed about 1 and, as usual, slept like a baby until about 9 this morning. I could use someone to share the bunk with though.

damn this got long

Berk

Hi Cap'n. So nice seeing you again. You have no idea how it makes me feel to know that I was missed. Thank you all.

It has been a very busy few days here. It is Canada Day weekend and I have spent the entire two days down on Lake Ontario. A friend of mine her dads owns a boat so we have been out on the lake. Berk you are so right, I loved it. The waves, the sounds the smell everything about it was wonderful.

I'm sure Canadian will be alright he is a sweetie. I made a bet with him last week and when the Jays won I teased him so much. Than we bet again and the Jays lost back to back games and he was a great and didn't tease me at all.

Well I see that you and Steelcock had alittle story going and it sounds so wonderful. 2 big strong men battleing it our on the high seas over me. How did I get so lucky?

So sorry to hear about your sun burn I hope it isn't to bad. I have a little one myself most on my legs. Anyway I have to go shower but I do hope to hear from you again soon.

 Jade

Hi Canadain, How did you spend the Canada Day weekend? I hope you had fun and didn't drink to many beers. I had a wonderful time down on the Lake. The fireworks and the music was great.

Sweet dreams

Yes, Jade. We did. Remember that you told me to tell you my fantasy? Now you must decide which fantasy you prefer (that is the Cap'n's idea); To be a rescued Oriental Princess, or an evil Pirate.

Good morning Steelcock! How are you? How was your weekend?

Yes I remember asking you to tell me your fantasy and I must say it was a very good one.:) Well both yours and Berkleys were great stories and I hope that we can get a few of the ladies here at Lit to join us in a role playing thread. If I do have to pick I would rather be a Princess. What girl hasn't dreamed about being a Princess and resuced by a knight in shinning armour?

Hope you have a wonderful day....

I'm so glad you chose that. Now I won't have to risk the wrath of your Emporer father by taking you back to him and getting a divorce. LOL.

As for my weekend it was great! Went out for a run with my pit bulls. Saw some wild hogs and thought of going to get my rifle, but they're not in season.

BTW. I only hunt for food, not sport. If I can't eat it I don't kill it. (Unless it's a poisonous snake all non-poisonous snakes get to live as far as I'm concerned)

I still have a wild boar's ham in my freezer from last winter. I'm planning on roasting it over an open pit with hickory coals for the Fourth of July, then setting off some fireworks later that night. (They're legal in Tennessee.)

Hope your weekend was pleasant.

Awwww... Don't I get points for taking you from serving wench to my second in command? :( ... a bold, but not unheard of step in the 18th century.

* I salute you Captain Steelcock (presenting you my sword)*

:D Anyway, Jade; I'm glad you had a pleasant weekend {Has it cooled down any, up there?} and a belated Canada Day greeting to you. After you mentioned it I remember seeing it on my calendar. Was the boat you were on big enough to sleep aboard? That would be cool, if you could have experienced the restful nights I do on my boat.

My sunburn isn't too bad, motrin and noxzema twice a day and I should be fine in another day or so. I will have to do heavy sunscreen for Independance Day, though. I plan to be at the lake Thursday through Sunday unless I run home to d/l some pics I plan to take and print up some For Sale fliers. The "2-Impulsive" has got to go. I have found a 36 footer I really want to buy.

Well. I gotta get ready for work.

I return your salute, but insist that you lower the Jolly Roger and hoist the American Flag in preparation for the Fourth of July Celebration at my place. Surely your mast is still standing, especially with the pics of Jade around to look at.

Hi Jade, Glad to hear you enjoyed your weekend. I spent most of mine at the SkyDome for the concerts. Did get out to habour front last night for the fireworks.

Thanks for calling me a sweetie. If I am it is because of you, your warm kind nature must be rubbing off on me. :) Anyway I should get back to interviewing for my new assistant. Wish me luck.

By your command, Capt. Steelcock

now lets hope this works:eek:
It worked!!! "OH, say can you see, By the dawns early light...

I wanted to do that as a free standing pic, but couldn't figure out how. :(

New Here Also

I just wanted to say you are very lovely (in fact I would say you have the face of an angel). I just wanted to share some well deserved kind works.

Good afternoon everyone one. Sorry I wasn't around much the past few days but that will change.

dhere welcome to Lit. I'm sure you are going to love it here. Everyone is so nice and easy to talk to. I hope you pop in and get to know us.

Hi Valgaav, How are things with you? What plans do you have for the July 4 weekend? What ever you do I hope you enjoy yourself and be safe.

Hi Cap'n Berkley, yes of course you get points for making me second in command you also get a big  .

Yes it cooled down a bit but I think that had allot to do with us being out on the water. I will add a pic of Carries dad's boat at the end of this.

I had a wonderful tine out there and you are so right it is so easy to get a good nights rest. I was out as soon as I hit the bed and that is unusual for me.

So your going to buy a new boat that is so cool. I hope you wil send us a pic of it. Is this the one you want to live on? Hope it all works out for you.

So how is the sun burn? Feeling better I hope.

Well I shall end here but I do hope to see you soon.

Hi Steelcock, How are you? I hope all is going well for you on this wonderful day.

Wild hogs wow, where do you live? Most of the wild life I see is in zoo's. You don't have to worry about me I don't mind if someone hunts. The way I see it that is how we started as a people. We are gathers and hunters by nature.

Hmmm sounds very tastey. Do you cook allot like that during the summer? I know here everyone bbq's or has corn roast etc. all summer long. Let me know how it taste would love to try it sometime.

Hi Canadian, How are you? Glad to see you around. Hey have you seen cdrp? I haven't seen him in a few days. I hear the concerts are Skydome were just great. Who was your favorite?

Oh y a I was thinking of changing my av. I will include a pic of it let me know what you think. Lets talk soon.

Hi Jade, how are things. Sounds like you had a great time out on the lake.
Yes I have seen cdrp on here this morning actually in one of the sport threads. I will let him know you were asking about him.
Love the new pic. Is that going to be your new av?
Well have to get going we are having a meeting in 15.

Beatiful Eyes

Please don't take away those beatiful eyes from us.

Hi Jade,

So good to see you back. If you are in the right location it is cooler on the water. It usually feels 5-10 degrees cooler at the boat club than in town.

Carrie's dad has a nice boat, a little bigger than my "2-Impulsive". It looks like about a 26 to 28 foot "Cruisers", a very nice boat.

I'm going to TRY to buy this 36 footer to live aboard, I've got to sell my boat first though. It's all a timing thing, if I can get out of mine before Jay sells his I should be able to make it happen.

I'll post some pics later this weekend. I've got to take the digi down to get some shots of mine to advertise it. I can get some pics of the 36 too as it is at the same club. I'll be disappointed if I can't make this deal work. Jay and his wife lived on it for 2 or 3 years, the only reason they bought their condo was because she got pregnant and they were afraid the baby might get hurt living on the boat.

Sunburn is better, still got a little tingle. I'll be putting the sunscreen on heavy this weekend. I'm such a doofus, I forget to put it on until it's too late  , but I'm going to keep it out and close at hand this week.

More later, Berk

I'm doing great! Expecting an even better tomorrow.

I live in the Blue Ridge Mountain range of the Appalachias in Southeastern Tennessee. Lots of wildlife here. I had a triple bypass in '97 and my doc told me to lay off of fat. No sausage, etc. I took some sausage that I had made from a wild boar
into the hospital kitchen and asked the cook to fry it and give the doctor a report on how much fat it had in it. She was surprised when she had to put a little oil in the pan to keep it from sticking. I was told to eat all I want. Vinison too. Deer ar fairly plentiful here as are wild turkeys for Thanksgiving.

Hmmm sounds very tastey. Do you cook allot like that during the summer? I know here everyone bbq's or has corn roast etc. all summer long. Let me know how it taste would love to try it sometime.
It is delicious. I use the hams to make a special BBQ for sandwiches. It's really good and spicy. The hams of a wild hog are different from a domestic swine in that they are white meat and a bit stringy like beef. As far as cooking out often goes, I generally cook out on holidays when I invite forty or fifty friends over for a weekend. We either hire a band or get instruments and play amongst ourselves. (I play guitar) I also have a company picnic every labor day for my nine employees and their families. With those occasions we dig a big hole (5' deep by 4'wide by 8' long and place a piece of plywood in the botom. We then place a metal frame around the edges and put a whole skinned and prepared hog in the box. After that we pour five gallons of BBQ sauce in and place a sheet of copper over the frame and fill the hole up with dirt. After that we build a big fire on the surface and let it burn for three days straight allowing it to go out on the night before the party.

On the day of the partya few guys clear away the ashes and clear the dirt off of the copper lid. They remove the lid and there waiting is one BBQ'd hog that is so tender the meat falls off of the bone. It's really great! Lots of meat, bread beer and babes to go around the party. Tle wives usually bring the side dishes and we just party until it's all gone. My employees know that I love a good time, but they also know that when it's time to get back to work I will expect them to be there to help catch up on back orders.

Hey everyone, Jade. Nothing particularly special planned for the holiday.

I think that pic would make a good AV.

Lovely, just lovely

Nice to see a fine lady of asian descent here.
What kind or writings do you enjoy Jade?
