Hijack Me! Lightning round controversy

Daaaamn.

I, um, like hiking. :confused::eek:

(in other words - itw = lightweight :( )

Lightweight is cool. I just think it's funny that my aversion to cold and wet is due to being overprotected. Kinda the reverse.

You'd think my upbringing would have produced a Grizelda Adams. But I don't even like driving with the windows down. Hair gets in my face.

I also never got any weird thrill from playing with fire, like my friends all did. They all wanted to come over to the house to mess with the fire. To me it was just a chore. No thrill.

Interesting. Wait, I'm confused by what the take home parenting lesson is here. ;)

I do love cabins. Major major love.

My dad also built a cabin in the Poconos woods. True log cabin.

No TV. Deck of cards, book, records, hammock, fishing pole and a gorgeous lake to hang out by. No phone.

Also heated by wood. Had bats in it.

We spent summers there on the weekends.

I've really, really had my share of nights where I sweat myself to not sleep and if not too hot, I had my mosquito bites to warm me.

Beautiful lake, though. I'd spend about 8 hours a day in the water. No mosquitos that way. But be careful of horse flies.

Carl Sandburg - Fog

The fog comes
on little cat feet.

It sits looking
over harbor and city
on silent haunches
and then moves on.
