How cliquish are we, really?

(I'm tired therefor this could be considered blunt and rude, I'm not sorry if it is read wrong.)

I might not post a whole helluva lot, but i've been here a while. Besides life getting in my way, sometimes this place is boring and sometimes it's irritating.

Cliques don't have to be a bad thing yanno. I hang out with people who have similar intrests and values with me in real life. I also take posts by some people more seriously then others online becasue of the same reason.

I'm not exactly miss popular. i don't get a lot of pm's. That's good becasue i'm horrible at responding to pm's simply becasue my interpersonal skills blow. I could care less though. 99% of you wouldn't even realize it if i left forever. Let me cry a river.

The way I see this board there's the flirters, the knowlaged, and the controversial posters. They all seem to recive a lot of responses. i've got none of those. I can't flirt to save my life, and sometimes i find flirting downright annoying (in real life, all the time, online, when it hijacks a thread). I'm not overly knowlaged. I've had very little expierence but i'm definatelly curious. And, I'm not really controversial. No one is worrying about my master breaking my skull for a good skull fuck and me thanking him for it as i die.

but ahh, i do get the occasional kick when i post a suspension picture or speak of my desire to surgically modify my genitals (split hood's rule.) or strech my urethera. (10mm baby! more once i get a proper sounding kit) MUHAHAHAHA.

(Let's call them negative acts shall we...for posterity's sake).

Rose I used the term "ringleader" loosely. No Catalina isn't a ringleader ...she's "the moderator".

"Personal" attacks are uncalled for and one should be supported by one's friend's in those circumstances (or not) as most people can stand on their own two feet....I think.

Newbies are unknown. As are old posters with a new nick.
I don't know who you are. I don't know if you are serious with your questions, with your thoughts, with coming back again. I don't know anything going on in your life. So why would I bother to care, to write long answers to your every post?
I think after posters stick around for maybe a hundred posts, and not only on word games, I sort of understand their way to post, to think. I know of course that I still don't really know posters. Still it seems easier to converse with someone once I'm used to their way of saying things.

Oh, and by the way, that 'you' isn't you, hotblooded, more a general you (Did you know that the English language is severely lacking in personal pronouns?)

chris9.. in the majority of cases "clique" is most often used in derogatory sense. Usually people in the clique also share similar opinions on things.
By looking at the poll results many "other" people feel that this forum is or appears to be cliquish, so I'm not the only one who feels this way.
Don't get me wrong it is only a handful of people here who could be regarded as members of an "alleged" clique. For the most part people who post here are wonderful, intelligent and independantly open minded.
I agree, it takes time for people to get to know you (if you are a newbie here, there or anywhere) Whether or not they accept your ideas shouldn't matter one iota.
I think my point was that there is strength in numbers and there are people here, whether you like to admit it or not, who seem to "gang up" (again, I use the term loosely) on newcomers or people who offer a different point of view on certain subjects different from their own (the staus quo).

This is only my opinion and my opinion has been formed by reading and posting here in BDSM and Cafe over many months. I don't know if the other forums here in Lit. are/appear cliquish as I don't frequent them. I'm guessing there had to be a real reason for Rose's taking a poll on this matter.

FYI and just to support my previous post: according to Wikipaedia.

I did not feel an apology was needed. Of course I accept your apology, just wondering what for it is. I don't feel offended or anything fast. I do remember being a nobody here, it took me a long time and a bit of frustration to get people to respond.
I guess there was a bit of a misunderstanding going on in this thread.

The inference I made about a couple who posted here once upon a time has nothing to do with "those" past events.

Let it be known I'm not some retaliating bitch who has come back to haunt the forum under a new nick (just in case some may think that this is the case).
Furthermore, I'm not going to apologize for something I'm alleged to have done...ie. misreading a post or any other thing, so I'll just mosey along quietly if you don't mind, life is way too short.

I don't necessarily care if someone likes what I like or listens to what I listen to or whatever. I just like to talk to people who can hold up their own end of a conversation.

Then again I also go for tolerance... as in, if you're talking about something I don't understand, don't assume I'm a complete idiot if I don't get it.
