but he has it listed as 3 differnt.....

hmmm I dunno. I had to think a while to come up with the 9 I did. I guess I was wrong.....

I might have to look them up.
I would've thought intestinal and digestive would have been the same too. Not sure I understand that one.

If you do it would account for weight gain, depression and many other issues

Usually thyroid issues are either liver or pituitary related
but it also can be
1) under feed
it's main food is iodine -- natural type
2) an auto immuniue disorder

Hey...kikmosa I completely understand what you're going through or at least to some extent. I had a really rough time in high school and even had guys I didn't know come up to me and say things like "Oh my God you're so ugly, how could anybody be so ugly?". To this day I feel like crap about myself whenever I look in the mirror. High school ended 4 years ago but I still can't get past the fact that there seemed to be something that caused perfect strangers to tell me just how much looking at me made them sick. The university life hasn't been kind to my body either, I've gained 30 pounds and I feel sick almost everytime I look in the mirror or at a photo of myself. There are days when I just feel like I don't want to leave the house.

It's strange, I've done a lot of reading about body image and am even doing my own research in this field so I know it's not realistic to want to look like models, but all I want to do is look like my sisters (the same sisters who say "oh this size 5 is way too big)! I guess I just want one day where I feel beautiful and pretty. All I can say is that this culture really seems to tell women that they're only worth something if they're skinny and they're pretty. I've got plenty going for me. I've gotten into really good grad schools and have been awarded a very prestigious scholarship and yet one of the biggest dreams I have is to be "pretty". Logically I know it's stupid and I've got plenty going for me but I would give anything just to be able to walk into a room and have people notice (for a good reason). I have a wonderful boyfriend but I'd love to have a strange guy come up to me and tell me I'm hot instead of ugly. Just to be hit on once in a bar would be incredible....

So yeah....besides this rambling...I understand how you feel. If you figure things out, let me know - I'm trying to figure them out myself.

I think you should spend five minutes a day either smiling at yourself in a mirror, or flirting with yourself. It will make you more appriciative of your own beauty.

Secondly, if you have a digital camera, take oodles of pictures of yourself. Figure out what positions you look best it, what facial expressions work for you, grin, look surprized, whatever. It's really fun!

If you read at all, I just finished this fiction "Good in Bed" about a
"Larger woman" and how she came to understand how happy she was because of her body. Also, Camryn Manheim's "Wake up I'm Fat" has alot of good commentary on how beautiful people are despite their size (and it's a fun read).

And feel free to drop me a pm if you want to chat.
