I'm at 13 right now. Of course I have a goal to send out at least one random pm per day. Sometimes I get a response (about 30% of the time) and sometimes those responses turn into great conversation. (About 25% of that 30% lol)

One little response on a thread creates mass emails

It's amazing how many responses one person gets just from saying hi or a brief set of words.
I got 14 messages this morning. I delete alot because I'm picky....if the person doesn't have their profile completed (age, descriptions, photos, etc), I don't bother. It's hard to set first impressions with a bare profile. Plus, If I take the time to set my profile up completely, I am serious about chatting aND wanting to find connections so when I see the same done on someone's profile, they are real, not just troll.
Am I over thinking about that?

I don't think so, it is a good way to screen your messages lol. Those who don't have a lot of information typically are just duplicate accounts or troll accounts.

A suggestion...

If you don't have eye catching/unique pictures on your profile and/or profile is incomplete, that may be part of the problem. If you are creative and engaging on it, that helps and encourages conversations.
I feel that when I get PM'S (and I get alot daily), I like to check out their profiles. If there are no photos (doesn't have to be naked photo or body parts of them) AND their profile is not fully written, they lost my attention. A profile that is completed with person's personality means they put time and effort in doing it and are serious about chatting /meeting people on Lit.
I could be wrong but as a woman, a nice well versed profile witj photos shows they are genuine.
