The BOTS were the reason I had initially abandoned my yahoo account. The chat there was more BOT spam. Oddly enough I have started using my yahoo again for IM after not touching it for 4 or five years.

And to boytoytodiefor... no one is really picking on you. Take a deep breath. It's ok. Try a personal ad here on Lit, post on some of the threads you find interesting and enjoy the forum a bit. Playmates will eventually find you here.

For instant "log onto chatroom and find sex" chat, I haven't found a chatroom in 5 years or so that isn't filled with scams, bots and peoples of other nations who don't really understand what you're looking for.

Yes, I go back even further than that. I used Lit Chat back inthe mid-90's but, the present version is horrible and, likely because of that, underpopulated. It was because of how bad the chat was, when I came back after a multi-year hiatus that I found these boards.

Chat rooms = alt's, bots, and imposters.

I've never been in Lit's CHAT, though. I discovered the boards in early 2000, and they've only been around since August 1999. (That's when Laurel and Manu registered.)

I usually just see it through to be polite. I'd hate to be really enjoying myself and getting close, for someone to then back out and have to leave. I imagine it's really frustrating.

Even if I'm just replying and letting them have their five minutes, it's better than leaving them hanging.

If I really didn't want to be there anymore, I'd probably just say that family were home and I had to go.

Hiya Pacorn. The last time I attempted to "chat" in Yahoo chat rooms their personal ads were still free. lol Like around 1997. They had some nice fetish-y rooms and local rooms. But, the bots took over, there, long before AOL. AOL proved useful until at least 2000. And by that time, I discovered Lit. lol

How hard is it to tell someone that you aren't interested anymore? It would awkward I imagine but just letting someone wonder what happened like that is shit-weasel behavior. There are human beings on the other side of the screen.
