And much of the content on the laptop can never be verified.

The whole problem with “Hunter’s laptop”, was that corrupt actors were “embellishing” the contents. And those corrupt actors tried to insert their “embellishments” into the mainstream coverage of the verified material. - RIGHT BEFIRE THE 2020 ELECTION.

The usual suspects also wanted the FBI to violate its standard practice of not interfering in elections AGAIN.

The FBI followed their own standards and practices in 2020, and now BabyBoobs et al. are quite upset.

That's the biggest red flag to me. If there was something concrete....the press would already be reporting on it. (At least fox news). But even Fox is reporting on the same BS we've known for a while....which is one email that alludes to a meeting.

Except for the fact that independent analysis by computer forensic experts found no evidence that the user data had been tampered with, modified or any data fabricated, nothing added after 2019 which was the drop off date. I'm sure if Garland initiated a grand jury panel, an evidentiary hearing combined with witness testimony, matching SARs with chronological date matching / emails and travels, well, just saying. There's enough hard and circumstantial evidence to initiate a special counsel, Garland won't do it. It's party affiliation not mismanaged evidence.

Yes, it is generally acknowledged that multiple copies of the original hard drive were disseminated to corrupt actors who tampered with the contents. Those corrupt actors attempted to insert their corrupted material into the legitimate narrative surrounding “Hunter’s laptop” via Twitter, Facebook, and other media outlets, (and were successful to varying degrees.)

That ^ is what caused the FBI and other influential institutions / organizations to suspect a disinformation campaign was underway. - Foreign or domestic.

I trust the FBI / DOJ will make a fair and just determination as to whether there are grounds for prosecution of ANY individual based on the contents of the ORIGINAL copy of “Hunter’s laptop” and related material.

So far it looks like Hunter Biden and his Uncle James may have some IRS exposure, along with some non disclosure issues. Nothing that implicates President Biden in any wrongdoing. - One vague e-mail about a brief “meeting” that may or may not have happened is hardly a smoking gun.
