I was just saying this the other day! I was driving (I knew where I was and where I was going) through LA and had a memory of my best friend and I going to Palm Springs for Spring Break back in like 1988 and I wondered HOW we got there (I was the one who drove!)? It must have been the Thomas Guide or a giant AAA map book…I remember when you mapped a long trip via a flip book from the auto club
Oh, the defunct airlines. I mentioned Braniff earlier. Also Allegheny, Ozark, America West, Peoples Express, Frontier (before it was revived)ISOIR flying Eastern and TWA. It was so different then, it was fun!

ISOIR remember when washing powder didn’t have a brand new formula, and left your whites just plain white rather than a whiter white or even a blue white.I am so old I remember when washing powder actually cleaned clothes without 3 or 4 different add ons to do the same
AAA called the flip books a “Trip Tik”, you could call and pick it up at the closest office a few days later.I remember when you mapped a long trip via a flip book from the auto club
So yes, I know this post was from a few weeks ago but I can not see Ducky without automatically seeing this scene in my head so…you are all welcome.
