I Can't Sleep.

Anyone got any sleep aid ideas other than popping pills or getting laid? (I hate pills and I'm out of batteries.)

Me again. This time being kept up by goats giving birth. Yup, staying at my Uncle's house (perched atop a pretty 15 acres) where there are over 25 goats, three dogs, a donkey, a few chickens and four kids (one of them mine). How I got suckered into watching his kids while he and the wife went to Vegas, I'm still trying to figure out. But the fact still remains that I'm awake at one a.m. listening to whining animals as they do nature's bidding and reproduce.

Sigh...

Me tonight.

Usually I can sleep just fine. Tonight I am alone in my new house I just bought, Jon said "He would see."

I know I can't live in a hotel room and get waited on, I can't do that. There wasn't even a damned stove! No Microwave, no Fridge, no nothing. Buttons to get food, buttons to get clothes washed, I couldn't even make popcorn!

But I think the house is a good investment, it has 3 bedrooms and even a small swiming pool! And it is mine!

At least I am here, everything is new. I get to start over, but now I can't sleep. Maybe I just need to go grab some guy and get laid, nice to think about at least, I won't.

See about what? Nice to see you back, Lee. It's hard to sleep in a new house. There's the initial buyer's remorse, which goes away, and there are new noises and the air smells different. Get a pet so you'll never come home to an empty house.

At 3:05 AM my time zone I'm usually working.

Overnight shifts were made for us sleepless types.

now ask me about 3:05 PM and I can tell you. I'm awake.
Sleep and I apparently are not on intimate terms. 3-4 hours a day if I'm lucky. Hell getting there too usually.

I couldn't even sleep after major surgery, with a self administer morphine IV. Of course it could be that I'd simply forget to push da button. Roamed the hospital halls at night. Night nurses are a good bunch thankfully, and with a sense of humor.

Now naps are something else all together. Naps are my friend. 20 mins and Im good to go!

I can't sleep. I think it's a result of sleeping very little last night, hitting the wall of exhaustion at suppertime tonight and now I've got my second wind! Why does that happen? I just want to collapse and go to bed, but I know I'll lie there and stare at the fan as it circles, for at least another hour.

I've had that problem all my life.

Usually, it's because I can't get my brain to shut up. It starts thinking about things, and it won't stop.

The past few nights it's because I'm flying on adrenaline. See the my first thread for the reason why.
