I don't give a damn about intellectual snobs. If you're so fucking smart, learn how to talk to your audience. (talking about a relative of mine who teaches at MIT, but yet blows up when he's frustrated in his inability to talk to a "simpler" man-another relative.)

I do at work, but I'm nice about it. There's a minister on our staff who's not too honest. One day he said something that offended me. I asked him, in front of everyone, to explain what it meant by 'bearing false witness'.

To be honest, I rarely say anything to my co-workers because they think that I think that I know everything. Even when they ask, I won't say anything. That seems to anger them more.

I must be doing things wrong. It didn't take many times for me to offer the proper advice and or instructions at a workplace and to basically be slammed for being a know it all, to resort to making myself appear a total lackie and one that was always quiet. Even in a social event large or small I tend to stay towards the back and observe, chuckle to myself when someone begins to talk out their ass about something they clearly know little about and if it's important I'll most times wait till the person leaves and then offer some of my opinions so as not to get into a pissing match with an unarmed fo .... well person.
Works well for work also, so when I get the job done and keep others off my back or at least not be talked to at all, I can smile and not worry about getting drawn into the politics and garbage that so many others seem to thrive on.

Those members of Lit that either joined for the sole purpose of being an unsociable royal pain in the ass acting as if the other members are there for their personal enjoyment that go from thread to thread and at times even being so poor in a personal life that they start a thread for the sole purpose of flaming, making a mockery of what another posts, acting like a spoiled child or just seeing if they can bait another into an exchange that leaves all parties involved looking like a cluster of school kids in study hall. Once upon a time we referred to such folks as losers, and damn if they don’t make that perfectly clear today that they still are. This also includes the one’s that aren’t getting the needed attention they seek of the threads, so they use PM’s, IM’s and or email to stir up their brew of hate. Good lord people, when the hell are you going to grow up and get a life? Lit surely isn’t all you have is it? Get up, walk to your door, open it and look outside, see? Air, trees, people and animals are out there, life is what I’m saying, go get one.
Now if anyone even takes the time to read this and is ticked off, took offense, became incensed, then there is a real good chance that either in the past, currently or in the future you’ll be such a member and saying shame on you doesn’t do the bandwidth justice.
Grow the hell up!! Is your life so truly shallow that trashing another is the highlight of your days?

OH I so agree with this. This Southern boy thought it was cooler up here... NOT HOTTER! This has been hotter then the south. They have not had 102 temps like we have.
