I need your advice on getting over someone...

Heh - come to think of it, the local mental health department has a counselor that I dated a few times... Nah!

You've got a cute kid, by the way.

Aw, thanks. :)

And in that case, DON'T go to that mental health department.

(sigh)

Sorry to ressurect a dead thread, but I went downtown for a drink yesterday (beautiful, sunny day in the '70's) and ran into Tracy again...

She was with the same guy I saw her with the last time. I guess that makes them a couple. He was handsome, looked well-dressed - successful, I suppose.

They didn't see me - I kinda slunk off with my tail between my legs, so to speak.

Anyway, it put me right back into a funk. With this on top of everything else that's going wrong lately, I feel like just "giving up".

Not sure why I bothered to post this - you've already told me what you think.

You posted it because it always helps to vent? :rose:

Right after the ex and I broke up, I always fell into a 'funk' when I heard his voice or saw his picture. Always. And sometimes it was like falling off the high point of a rollercoaster...I crashed. Hard. And cried more than I care to think about.

It gets easier...that's all I can tell you. Every time you see her it will get a little easier. Maybe the MOMENT won't get easier, but you will pull out of that funk much faster each time. Until you get to a point where seeing her causes a little twinge, and then you forget it by the time the sun sets.

Time heals. :rose:
