OOC: Err the trolls came on a Tortoise, a giant turtle, the trolls are dying, but needs to be put on fire or hit with avcid to die permanently.

The ballista's shoot flew out of the cannon opening and split into the thick skull of the tortoise and soon enough were grappling hooks and harppons fired from the ship and began to pull in the giant sea creature.

OOC:eek:h right sorry i forgot that part my apologies Drakk and i knew about the how to kill a troll part but you know jsut so they were injuried easier to defeat if anything

IC:soren had hit it his part would be done for now in a bit he may fire off another if possable in a bit as he went back to his post-

Celest Dryadson and Lynn Dryadson

Celest: I made my way to the nearest healers kit and began to patch up those who were hurt as best I could. [20+4 = 24 heal check] The action was over, at least until a troll fell over board.

Lynn: My aim needed work, I had very few doubts about that at this point. I made my way down from the crows nest, finally spotting my sister. Why she had left me sleeping I had no clue. She should of woken me for combat.

Having reached the bottom I moved my way to the trolls remains and gave a quick search for useful items. We should gather the loot and then give them to those they'd be most useful for. [Search for items 7+18 = 25]

Xela grinned with contentment when the arm came off, but it quickly turned to a scowl when it turned and ran, Scrags could regenerate in water, why couldnt it stay and die like a man? she was about to persue the beast, but the paladin did it for her, denying her the second kill, so she hefted the wait of her sword on to her shoulder and allowed herself a glimpse around the boat, it seemed they were out of trouble, with all the visible attackers dead, but Xela couldnt help but wonder if there was something else, big showy attacks tended to be great covers for sneaky buisness.

"Nice" Xela said with a grin when the bag of clinking gold dropped in to her hand before being deposited in to one of the pouches on her belt "you keep paying like that and never call me madam again, ever, and we'll get along just fine boss" she said, looking over the side of the boat and seeing the tortise being harpooned and slowly dragged closer to the boat "now if you'll excuse me, i'll see to those three trolls" she backed up preparing to jump of the side and either land on the beast or get closer to swim on to it, not that she cared about the trolls dieing, but making sue she had her hands on the shamans goods before anyone else was of much intrest to her.

(jump check: 20+7)

"As you wish." He whistled at her impressive jum pas she practically leaped over fifty feet and onto the head of the Tortoise. "Impressive jump." He then turned towards the equipment left in the ashes of the corpses, he coudl gather up whatever item laid there and then give it to these brave adventurers for aiding him.

OOC: Xela gets a Permanent Ability Score Growth of +1 Str for the impressive jump.

As he gathered up the items into a bag he spotted a woman searching through the trolls, she waso en of those aiding against the troll. "I will gather up the items and put them on the dinning table in the messhall for you to look through, no need to put yourself in danger while looking through corpses, there might still be trolls around." Putting everything into a big bag the former paladin handed it to one of the crew members. "Put this on the table at the mess hall, and tell people to not take anything from it, I have sealed the bag with a rune that will shock anyone who touches the insides."

The crewmember ran off and the ex-paladin turned and grabbed one of the grappling hooks and swirled it around before he threw the hook towards the tortoise's skull.

ROLLING FOR THROWING GRAPPLING HOOK: 13+5[Ranged Attack Bonus]+2[Use Rope]=21

The hook caught itself on the thick eyebrows of the giant turtle's forehead and the nobleman too ka strong grip and pulled with all his power, using his legs to get more leverage as he pulled.

ROLLING STRENGTH FOR PULLING TOTOISE TOWARDS SHIP: 14+4[Strength]+2[Use Rope]=20

The tortoise seemed to jerk suddenly as the paladin pulled, and with each heaving pull he drew the giant shellfish closer, until it bumped against the wide of the ship, at which ropes and grappling hooks were thrown out and men began to tie up the giant carcass to the side of the ship.

OOC: Okay I had planned to have him fall into the water not get a success, even thoguh it was a DC 20, oh well, Charles Sunbringer gets a Permanent Ability Score Growth, Strength +1

-Soren fell witht he bump many passangers pannic-

[diplomacy calm roll 11+8=19]

"PLEASE REMAIN CALM ITS OK I DONT KNOW WHAT IS WAS BUT I SEE NO REASON TO CONTINUE IN THIS PANIC PLEASE ALL OF YOU RELAX"

OOC: Okay... calming panicking mob... check. Permanent bonus to Charisma... Soon to be checked.

The panicking passengers calmed down at the sorcerer's words and began to understand that the giant leaning agaisnt the side of the ship, was dead, soon to be turtle soup, and with a load of soon to be dead trolls.

Celest Dryadson and Lynn Dryadson

IC: Celest: Having finally found my sister I could relax. She was the only family I had left and I wasn't about to loose her out to sea like this. I smiled warmly and she smiled back in her own way, a smile that was only a smile if you knew what to look for.

No one seemed hurt since the paladin had layed his hands on our burnt companion. I was a bit worried about the other boats however. So I moved to the man in charge.

"Sir," I looked down to the harpoons and grappling hooks on the giant reptile. "Perhaps some one should see that turtle is tied down there just in case we hit rough waters, a grappling hook or even that massive harpoon could become loose under those conditions. And the meat lost."

I then looked up at him again. "Oh sorry thinking out loud. I wanted to ask if we are going to check in to the other ships. I worry about how they fared in the battle."

IC: Lynn: The paladin scooped up the remains of the trolls on the ship and gave instructions for there division later. That was fine I wasn't even to sure I did much in that fight. I was use to fighting wolves and boars, were a bow is far more useful then a sword. Trolls and goblins were another kind of beast, one were the deep slash of a sword was hard to top.

I made my way to over to were the turtle was now being secured. I looked down at the demon of a woman and the troll corpses she had finished. "Find anything good down there?"

Alaster looked across the devastated troll bodies and injured shipmates before going over to the paladin and two young ladies who seemed to be twins. He pulled a small rag he'd had wrapped around his belt and used it to start cleaning his blade. "We aren't even there yet and the fun's already started. I think I'm going to like this Greenfawn." It may have come off as a bit sarcastic, but he honestly thought he might. Everything had its price and with monsters like these and the promise of more to come as the price, a great prize this place would be. A slight smile came over his face.

"Indeed good warrior, there will be many dangers ahead. And I will probably need to put out bounties for monsters that gets out of hand, but with there being a rich goild deposit in the land I should have little problem supplying with payment." The paladin stated calmly before he jerked his thumb at the sailros who were attacking grappling hooks to the tortoise shell as to keep it attached to the ship. "And no need to worry misses, the crew will attach the hooks to the shell, it will make sure to keep the creature from falling off the ship's side." He then moved to the railing of the boat and shouted out to the tiefling warrior. "How are things going down there?!"

Xela soared though the air and landed on the side of the tortoise, her hand grabbing its thick shell as she pulled herself up and quickly set about ending the lives of the three trolls, all three stone dead by the time she was beside the ship, an elven head leaning over the railing to ask her a question.

"This count?" she replied with a grin and a slightly blood covered face, holding up the gory severed head of the lead troll to the girl before tossing it off the side "I hope that cant regenerate by itself" she chuckled as a second voice called out "well, the trolls are dead, but it'll take a second to search the bodies" she turned back to her work and started to search the bodies, her long tongue idly licking some of the troll blood from her lips, it wasn't a good taste, but that didn't stop her from doing the same with the blood on her fingers.

(search check: 12+3)

-soren had herd the fighting Stop but didnt want to Leave the people he waited feeling a bit more relaxed now he looked to the door his staff not in attack but as a leaning stick as he looked tot he door for any news of them to come out the ships insides where still dark as the candles kept us in the light i began to talk to a few Passangers on there nerves to see if they were all right.-

-Soren had gone back to his spot after a while he sat down and licked his lips a bit before wipping his face he just took off the most outer cloak to cool off a bit as this was his normal clothing but it was a bit hotter in the ship since he had been running around taking a Water skin out and drank from it before putting it back for later he sighed in content for now-

Laughing the paladin shook his head. "Sorry but no, those who handled the ballistas will be rewarded for deafeating those three trolls, but you may still keep the items. But no need to look through them now, gather up what you can carry in this bag and then give it to one of the crew, the loot of the trolls will be shared in the mess hall down in the ship's hull, there will be a feast for yo uas well to celebrate this successful victory, and to mourn those who the trolls killed." Throwing down a bag and then a rope for the tiefling to climb up from, the paladin turned towards the crew. "Prepare the chefs for tortoise meat! We shall make a fine feast to honor our heroes and honor our dead!"

The crew cheered and four men jumped down with large daggers, ropes tied to their belts, and began to cut up the large fins of the tortoise, putting the meat into large baskets rolled down from the bridge. Charles Sunbringer helped the tiefling up onto the bridge as she climbed up the rope and then gathered the rest of the heroes down in the messhall, where mead, ale and wine was being taken out, along with plenty of fruits, vegetables, meat and plenty of fried tortoise meat and turtle soup.

Putting the second bag the tieflign had gathered onto the large table the Paladin emptied the items onto the hard wood and then began to divide them. "There's six magical items (unknown), four rations each, two water skins each, two magical leather armors (unknown), one magical robe (unknwon), two magical longswords (unknown), two ironwood clubs, a magical quarterstaff(unknown), two magical tridents (unknown), four emeralds, six rubies, ten sapphires, four topazes, two diamonds, four vials of sea troll blood (Spell Component/Craft Ingredience), six bags of ashes (Spell Component/Craft Ingredience), four troll eyeballs (spell component/craft ingredience), two strange tomes (unknown), four hundred gold pieces each, 353 silver pieces each and 76 copper pieces each."

Celest Dryadson and Lynn Dryadson

IC: Upon entering the hall the pair moved to the food line. As a druid Celest was happy to see the turtle was being eaten and not discarded to the sea. Although all that is given to the sea is still used. In truth she was still nervous about this new settlement in a virgin land, but at the very least by being there she could make sure the damage wasn't to bad, assuming the lead to her mother turned out to be false.

It wasn't long before the paladin dumped out the spoils of battle. A large number of magic items.

"16 magic items," Lynn was in habit of counting such things.

"14 items actually," Celest corrected, "The clubs are not magic."

"How do you know," Lynn inquired.

"I just cast detect magic. So I could see what type of auras we are dealing with and how strong each feels."

"I thought you couldn't identify magic." Lynn raised an eyebrow in puzzlement.

"I can't, that is the work of arcane magic. But detecting magic is an ability nature gave to me."

"So which items have the strongest auras?"

-Soren sighed hearing more commotion he slowy lead the people up the stairs and out side he looked around and smiled the fight was over he walked over to a empty part of the ship and sat by the edge of the boat as he relaxed looking to every one work not sure what to do the other people now gree to walk the ship-

"That was scary i never faced trolls before"-he said as he looked to the bodies and other things on the ship he shivered-"it seem over so fast but at least i handled the canon before i hope that helped any"-he said and bit his lip looking around the sea air relaxed him as he leans to the wall sliding down it-

Xela scowled when the Paladin said they would be splitting the loot evenly, but didn't complain, the guy seemed fair, so she trusted him enough to pay her adequately. when she emptied the bag on to the table she instantly started sorting through it with her eyes, occasionally picking up a piece or two for a closer look "uugh, it all smells like troll" she flicked the diamond back on to the table and walked off to the door.

"HEY! SLAVE BOY, GET IN HERE!" she bellowed out before turning back and seeing one or two faces on her "what? he not actually a slave, I pay him" she shrugged it off and went back to the table "the important part is hes dam good at cleaning things" she looked at the loot, some of it still with bloodstains from both human and troll, not to mention the stink "and this stuff needs a clean."

Chuckling the paladin shook his head before turning towards the others. "Where is that sorcerer? He is supposed to be down here in the messhall as well, and with ihs arcane knowledge it would be easier for us to identify these unknown magical objects. Though I could give it a try if nobody minds." As he spoke the young cabin boy came running from the kitchen and with expert like movements pulled out a clean rag, some scented soap and began to clean the items.

OOC: 100 xp to Xela for calling for her cabin/slave boy hehehe, it was amusing. :D

Alaster picked up one of the darker gems and held it to the light admiring it. He had snatched it up before the powerful demon woman's servant had gotten a chance to clean it so a speck of blood appeared on its edge. "With loot like this before even reaching the mainland," he began tossing the gem back in the pile, "we will all be quite rich if we survive. Let me know my share, I trust you to be close enough to fair." The battle had gotten his blood flowing and now there didn't seem to be anywhere to direct his energy. Alaster turned and wandered away from the table muttering, "That was fun, but I've got to find a way to relax some."

Coughing into his hand the Paladin spoke up. "Actually, you are to pick your part of the loot here, the money I have divided between all of you ,the rest of the items are for you to pick, the items you don't wish to have I can buy from you and give to my soldiers. I wil lsee what items we have found here now, starting with these six magical items." The Paladin then began to examine the items, trying to identifying them with his limited knowledge of the arcane.

ARCANE KNOWLEDGE ROLL: 19+3=22

"Hmmm I know what these six items are now, these two items here are Seashell Necklaces, they lets you breathe under water and a minor resistance to cold damage (5/ Damage Reduction: Cold)." Placing the two items on the table he then took two others out. "These two items are the same as well, a pair of Greater Ogre Gauntlets, grants you a great increase in strength (+3 Strength)." Putting the gauntlets on the table the paladin then pulled out the last two items. "This is a Ring of Regneration, it heals your body as you wear it (+2 Hp Regenration Per turn) and this here is a pair of Sea Troll Boots, grants you regeneration (+2), water breathing, hardned skin (+1 AC) but slows you down a great deal. (Speed Halved)."

He then took out the armors, the tridents, the longswords, the robe, the tomes, the wuarterstaff and began to inspect them. "These armors are Whale Leather Armors, they grant you a great protection but nothing else (+4 AC). This robe is a Robe of the Siren, grants you protection (+3), the ability to cast several spells before you have to recharge the robes, the spells are Charm Animal (10), Charm Monster (10), Charm Person (10), Hold Animal (10), Hold Monster (10), Hold Person (10), Sleep (10), Confusion (10), Hypnotism (10) and Hypnotic Pattern (10)."

He put down the armors and the robe and the held out the swords, the tridents and the staff. "These longswords are Frostiron Blades, they have an ice cold edge that freezes anything it touches (1d12 Cold Damage) and has been enchanted to deal more damage (+2). These tridents are strongly enchanted tridents (+3 enchantment), but nothing else. And this staff is just a strongly enchanted piece of ironwood. (+3 enchantment)"

Putting down the weapons the paladin held out the two tomes, the last items remaining. "These tomes are both different, one contains recepies for one to use blacksmithing to make regular and magical weapons, armor and items, with the right ingredients can anyone make these enchanted items, even without the powers of magic. And the last tome is still unknown to me, it has some kind of magical seal on it, but from what I have found it it requires four keys, one of silver, one of copper, one of gold and one of platinum." Putting down the two tomes the paladin waited for the group to decide which items they wanted.

(OOC: Erlind, i think we're below deck, so there isnt realy any sun to use)

Xela listened as the Paladin told them all what was on offer, none of it was overwhemingly attractive to her, untill he talked of the last tome, there was something about a lock that always made the contents seem ever so atractive to her, after all, that is were people put all their good stuff. Without a word to anyone she reached out and picked the book up, looking it over with what looked like a trained eye, as if she was going to burst in to a long explaination of what it actualy was, but that was far from the case.

"Well, i have no idea what it is" she said with a shrug, she never was very good at appraising things "but dam if it hasnt peiqued my intrests, i'll take it if no one objects... oh" she stopped and picked up one of the sea shell necklaces "heres you pay" she todded it to the cabin boy who managed to catch it, then quickly stuffed it in to his pocket, quickly thanking her before returning to cleaning the loot.

Alaster picked up the ring and slipped it on. "Feeling better already," he said grinning as he looked down at his new ring of regeneration. "Thank you," he told the paladin humbly, "I should have done much more than I did in the battle and I appreciate the reward you've given me." The wounds he'd incurred in the battle were already closing and he was honestly grateful for the treasure. "My blade and I hope to make up for it soon."

"I hope nobody mind if I take this Seashell Necklace, in case I fall off the ship it will be a great help." The paladin stated in a polite tune as he took up the necklace and put it inside his pocket, he would wear it once he needed to. He then held up the two pairs of Greater Ogre Gauntlets. "I am sure that one of you want one of these pairs of Great Ogre Gauntlets, but if nobody wish to have one of the pair would I need one, I nearly strained my arms when trying to help in pulling in the tortoise earlier. But I bet you're all hungry, I know I am, so I will just call for some supper for us and you can divide the treasure as you regain your strength."

He then whistled to the people at the dinning table and motioned for them to get some drinks and food. Soon enough were goblets of wine, ale, mead and water on the table along with bowls of fruit, pots of turtle soup, roasted tortoise meat, empty bowls, spoons, sporks and knives. Takign a seat the palading took a goblet of water and wine, as he wasn't much of a drinker, and prepared to mix the water with his wine to ease up on the alcohol.

Celest Dryadson

IC: "We are in strange company Lynn" I looked over at my sister, she was a troubling long decision maker. Now Lynn was perplexed at exactly what to take.

I sighed and grabbed the whale leather armor and the gauntlet not in the paladins hand. "You can't go wrong with the basics Lynn." I then handed her the gauntlets and smiled.

"No thank you." She tossed the gauntlets back in. "And my armor is finally comfortable, I don't want to break in another." She then reached out and took the Tomb that remained. "I make my own arrow heads to begin with, might as well see what else I can make."

I shook my head at Lynn, she wasn't a black smith. I turned to the paladin. "Let me put this on and then I can sell you my old +2 hide armor."

Nodding the ex-paladin paused in mixing water into his drink and took a bowl of fruit along with some roasted tortoise meat onto his empty bowl, cutting up a piece of the meat he tasted it and enjoyed the strange but enjoyable taste of the roasted tortoise meat melting in his mouth like butter. "Mmmm this tortoise is very well cooked, first time I've tasted giant tortoise but compared to other turtle dishes I've eaten is this an unique and extrmeely tasty experience, reminds of octopus and beef in a way."

-he herd people below he just blacked out abit not payign attention as he looked around he slowly came down in to the boat he herd noise coming from the messhall he walked in and looked around at the door-"Sorry i needed some air"-he said and walked to a empty seat a few seats away from the paladin but gave the seat up to some one who had been sitting there before him he was handed some roasted tortise and looked at it also grabbing some water he began to eat it, it wasnt bad and he looked to the table and over to the paladin and walking to him while eating he said-"Excuse me Charles"-he said looking to him-"how was the haul in the battle"-he said wondering about it-
