IC for the land of L'anDanora!

Leo

Leo nodded.

"We were heading somewhere, yes. But as it stands, we do not know where that is. At the moment our lead is that necromancer. I suppose that is where we are heading right now."

He glanced down at her, forcing himself into control again. He sighed internally as he got his emotions under control again. Good. He was back to his normal self. Those candles off in the distance again. They should prove too far into the darkness for Arisu to see.

"Though I would like to know where those three are getting off to." he stated, and stopped to look at the blurs that were their companions.

Vushlo

Vushlo felt more than saw the change of energy and stopped his horse, this one didn't wish to be seen and shifted into an even smaller form. He knew that he could use the dead to reveal this being following them, but he had a strange feeling about this one. He dismounted from the horse and sheathed his sword, he kept following the energy trail left behind until it led to a hole. So the creature can shrink itself down to as small as a mouse. Vushlo decided to not pursue the creature further as it would only end up with it's death. He knelt down to get closer to the hole

"I know you can hear me and of course understand me as you ran from my challenge. If you show yourself I guarantee no harm will come to you, but if you continue to trail us, I can assure you that at some stage it would end up with your death. I leave the decision up to you"

Vushlo got up and walked over to his horse and got on, he waited a few moments and then turned the horse and sauntered back towards the trail, as he rejoined his comrades he reigned his horse in

"It is an intelligent creature, apt in using shape shifting magic. It turned itself into a small creature and hid in a hole. I did tell it that if it shows itself no harm will come to it, but if it stays on our trail without revealing itself...it will die"

With that Vushlo nudged his horse into the direction they were heading and trotted off

Naden hear Vushlo calling out from where they had stopped. He turned to Namennarg in the saddle. "Whatever that was has to be long gone by now. You've known him longer right? Does he always shout at thin air?"

"You do"

"Shut up" Naden growled under his breath.

The dark knight returned from deep in the undergrowth and spoke of the creature stalking them. "That's all we need, a shapechanging assasin after our heads. It could pretend to be any one of us!"

"Actually, I doubt this being is able to imitate another person. It takes a lot of power to do that." Namennarg said. "Also, I don't really know him all that well. I met him only about ten minutes before you did.".

Nyme

Startled to see a huge eye looking at her from the end of the hole she was in, Nyme backs up several inches to get away form the eye. She bumps into something. Something ALIVE! Nyme turns and is looking into the face of a snake. The bellowings of this menacing bafoon must have awaken it. The snake strikes at her, but Nyme manages to ellude the bite. Nyme scurries out of the hole and shapeshifts into her natural form, wild elf. Nyme lets out a scream and shrieks "I hate snakes!" Then Nyme realizes that rider is almost right on top of her. The now naked Nyme starts to back away from the rider looking for her chance to make her escape again. Then she stumbles over a dead branch on the ground and falls backwards. Onto her back.

"I hope you know what you're on about. I that thing kills me consider yourself haunted". Naden turned his horse about and continued down the road at a liesurely pace. "Come on then, let's keep moving. I'd like to be some place that has walls before dark".

"Me too," she replied, smiling up at him, her eyes shining. She took a quick look around themselves. "You know, a person could get used to this." She was slowly getting over the... cold area, finding more and more interesting things. But her eyes dragged themselves back to the group on the otherside. Of the darkie thing.

Arisu had beencompletely taken in by what was happening on the other side, covering her mouth as she giggled. "Humans always make me laugh," she said. The young snake once again amused herself with the Reaper, pulling at his cloak at random places and or trying to guess what his face looked like.

Leo

Leo watched the group as he listened. Yes, a being could get used to this. He had. He glanced down at her as she giggled and started pulling at his cloak.

"Having fun?" he asked dryly.

He looked back up at the blurs. A young elf woman appeared out of no where and fell to the ground behind Vushlo, completely naked. He tilted his head slightly before looking away, his eyes somehow finding their way down to Arisu again.

"Elves are interesting beings. Why they would run around with naught a thread on them, I do not know."

He would never do that. Not in this life or his first. He was far too...civilized to do such a thing, even if there are no others around. Would she do that? He quickly shut off an image of Arisu that appeared in his mind. No need to be thinking like that about one of his companions. It could cause issues that might jeperodize their mission later on.

Startled to see a nude female elf stumble out of the brush and fall on her back, Namennarg turned his horse around and looked down at her. She had a rather large number of tattoos, and jet black hair. She also seemed to be very scared of snakes, if the exclamation was anything to go by. Unfortunately, at just that instant Dragar decided to pop his head out and look at the elf too. Namennarg looked down at him and said "Dragar, go make sure that the snake that scared her won't come out after her.". Dragar went and slithered down Namennarg's arm and down the horses leg. He passed by the elf on his way into the brush. Going in a few feet, Dragar found the area where the snake was. After a short conversation, Dragar assured the snake that chasing down the mouse was a bad idea. Afterwards, he slithered back to Namennarg and up around his neck again.

Kana

Kana arrived at the keep an hour after the people she was tracking had moved out, she studied the keep and stables seeing where each had lain and studied there movements..

she also found what was left of a rabbit that had been eaten.. and noted the incressed number of mounts.. tho they were as close to real horses as could be.. the track was just a bit different.. undead..

well when one was tracking at least 2 undead beings one should expect to find undead things as well..

Rishka calling ahead for her to hurry she mounted and begain slowly following there tracks not more than an hour behind..

"Quite a lot, actually," the young snakewoman admitted, not really embarrassed she was acting like a fledging. She looked up for a moment, seeing an elf and huffed. Stupid elves. Stupid, too pretty for the own good, elves! Arisu made a show of not looking at the female. She hadn't noticed her before. Still, if that elf thought she could take her own... Arisu would bite her. Unless she was told not too.

"I've done that before," she said. "Mind you though, I was only sixteen at the time." She decided not to tell him of the circumstances. She looked downat herself. "Don't do it anymore... not as comfortable as it was back then. Of course, I was young." She put her hand to her cheek, dramatically sighing. "Oh, to be young again... thank god I'm not."

Leo

Well, thank someone. He had never believed in god. Never have, never will. An omnipotent entity that created all that is? Ridiculous. God hadn't created him. God hadn't created his Lady, nor the woman in his arms right now. Speaking of which, he looked down at her, taking in her appearance for what must have been the dozenth time.

"Indeed. Being young was...fruitful, but being experienced is far better."

He looked up again at the scene in front of them. Was anyone going to offer her something to cover up with? They don't need a distraction like that. Well, the others might, but he did not. He was entirely too focused on their mission, his own memories, and Arisu, who he held in his arms. That image appeared in his mind again. This time he let it stay. It would leave when it was finished tormenting him. The mind is a curious thing. It would torment you with images, memories, feelings, and other things, but then would leave you thoughless, speechless, and otherwise mentally incapacitated when it wanted.

He had found that the mind is always against you. His was. His always was.

Arisu looked up at him. "You must've had a good childhood," she said. Hers had been... well, changing, to say the least. Being a mortal snake of two parent immortal snakes... was hard. While she could die, she was tough to kill. "But then again, it's what usually shapes the decisions we make in life." She closed her eyes once more, clearing her mind as kicked her legs once more.

She opened them to see the elf still naked.

"I was wishing it was a dream," she muttered under her breath and hid her face in his cloak. "I hate elves. I said several times before, didn't I? Well, I'll say it once more. I hate the evles, too damn pretty." It wasn't that she hated pretty people or elves. She just couldn't stand the pretty ones. Bewitched her friend once before they did. Arisu let out a sigh, feeling childish once more.

"Do your old wounds ever hurt you anymore?"

Leo

Leo looked up and away, into the shadows.

"All the time..." he murmured, just loud enough for her to hear.

His wounds pained him. Every second of every day. He could ignore the pain, which is what he did, most of the time. On occasion though, he allows the pain to seep into his conciousness, remembering times past. He was sure that Vushlo could still feel the blow that took his life. It was a curse that all Undead had to live with. Though most handled it easier than you might think. He glanced down at her.

"Why do you ask?" he queried.

He had always believed in avoiding undue pain, but sometimes pain was called for. He believed that his was. He understood that it was his job to kill, to send souls to the Fates. But he knew that his power did not come without a price. The pain he endured was that price. He looked down again. Was she still trying to see past the shadows of his cowl? Why did she insist on seeing what wasn't meant to be seen? No matter. She will not see the face that lies behind these shadows.

Kana hummed a tune to herself as she followed those ahead of her, thinking if she could catch them up and join them then she could more easly keep an eye on them and send reports to the man who had hired her threw Rishka..

her decision made she sent Rishka with a message to the man who had hired her she would know him by scent.. and let him know what she was doing.. until he gave her further instructions..

this decided she urged her mount to a faster pace hoping to catch them soon.

Arisu looked up and smiled at him. "I knew it," she replied to him and didn't continue with her answer. In fact, she didn't even tell him what she meant. All she did was relax in his arms. No, it wasn't good to make someone feel pushed. She didn't care about what lay beyond his scowl. He would reveal it himself, in good time, and most likely to someone other than her. The young snake knew better than the expect that it would be for her. She wasn't the type to push. Much. "Oh, don't worry worry about, Mr. Reaper."

She looked down at her hands, cuts and scars hidden by the paleness of her skin. Working as a blacksmith had allowed her to meet different people. When she finally took the road, the doors had completely opened. After all, how many traveling female blacksmiths- correction, female blacksmiths did anyone know? Not many. Even at times, she was mistaken for a young lad. This had not settled well the with female.

As a matter of fact, there were a few humans who were missing.

Leo

She didn't like elves much at all. They were too pretty? He looked over at the elf laying on the ground still. Nothing he could see, really. Then again, he wasn't exactly effected by these things. Emotions didn't seem to bother him much anymore. Besides the woman in his arms, of course. She made him feel like something he hadn't been in centuries. He looked down at her.

"What happened when you were sixteen?" he asked.

He knew she would understand what he was talking about. He wasn't a very prodding person, but he was curious. He had always wanted to learn as much as he could about whatever he could. He had spent quite a bit of time getting to know people, though he didn't often reveal anything about himself. He didn't consider it being friendly, but just a certain amount of curiousity. As always, he would just moved on to something else should she not answer his question. He was rather curious though. The image of her was still in his mind.

Nyme

Nyme's eyes grew wide open when she saw a snake pop its head out of the rider's bed roll. As she watched the snake slither down the rider's arm and on to the ground tword her. She began to scoot in the oppasite direction from which the snake was coming from. Nyme was relieved to see the snake slither into the hole where the other snake was. "What do you intend to do with me?" Nyme asks in broken common.

Arisu sputtered, which sounded between a hiss and choke. That she had not been expecting. Her surprised showed in her eyes as she looked up at him. Then she looked down, embarrassed. There was a reason she didn't like pretty elves. "I was... taking a soak, so to speak," she started, not really wanting to get into the details. "And it was by this elf. Now, she wasn't pretty but she was nice to me. anyway, I show that I have two legs, that was until to male elves, not that they are anymore, thought it would be fun to drag me on my back. It was the day I discovered I had venom. After that, I had fun spitting it into their eyes as I reclaimed my clothes."

She shook her head.

"Ma was pissed. Dad was... well... I think he was laughing, saying he found the idiot of the babies," she puffed out her cheeks. "I spat at him too. Missed though." Clearly, she wasn't going to tell the whole story to a complete stranger. Closing her eyes once more, she hid her face in her cloak. "It was fun though. But I was still considered a wee baby."

"Do with you? We don't plan to do anything with you. At least, I don't. I do have a question for you, though. You haven't seen any walking dead around the area lately, have you?" Namennarg said to the elf. Just at that moment, a war cry echoed out from down the road in the direction they had been travelling before the distraction. Namennarg swiftly turned Adalia in the direction of the noise, and saw 6 orcs and 2 trolls running down the road at their party. The orcs all had swords, and were wearing light armor. The trolls were armed with large clubs. Namennarg slid off his horse and pulled out his ashandarei. He then moved in front of her, and squared off towards the threat. All of them came charging right at the group around the naked elf.

Leo

Something was wrong. Namennarg turned and drew his sword, sliding off his horse. The image turned to look where he was. Six goblins and two trolls charged down the path at them. He looked down at Arisu.

"Time to go." he said quickly. "Close your eyes."

He began the transition, but something again was wrong. There was that blinding flash of light again, but they did make the transition succesfully, and found themselves just behind Namennarg. Arisu was still in his arms. He looked down at her once more before setting her on her feet. He stepped forward to stand next to the human. He held his left hand forward, his right behind him. A long shadow appeared in his hands which morphed into his scythe.

He glanced over at Namennarg before looking at the approaching group again. The goblins didn't look that strong, but looks can be decieving. They held their weapons lightly, and actually looked like they knew how to use them. The trolls looked like, well, trolls. Large, unwieldy brutes with large clubs. He remembered the last troll he had slain. It was an interesting fight. His feet shifted just slightly, ready to charge with his companions. He would go for the trolls first, as they were the most dangerous.

Vushlo

Vushlo heard the war cry and saw the charge towards his companions, Leo appeared from the shadow realm, but there was a strong tinge of magic in the air. Curious. He reached for his sword, but a cool hand rested on his and the cold yet lovely voice of Death whispered in his ear

"Stay your hand"

Vushlo nodded and took hold of the reigns again, he shifted his sight and saw that the orcs and trolls were all marked for Death, yet no tags were upon his companions or the newcomer. Interesting. In his othersight he could also see an aura of magic around the trolls and orcs, it seemed that there was more to this attack than a simple ambush. He could feel Death lingering still with him

"My lady, must I avoid this fight completely?"

Although it should be impossible through the armor and him being undead he could feel her fingers touching his cheek

"My brave knight, always wanting to slay in my name. Stay out of the fight, you're time for serving me will be soon upon you"

With those words Vushlo could feel her presence shift and he knew that she was moving towards the fight. He shivered in reverence and turned his attention to the fight.

Arisu slowly opened her eyes and saw the oncoming trolls and orcs. She debated whether or not to fight them. Pulling out her hammer, she swung it around her hand a few times. Hmm, should she get into the frey. Well, she did have some anger she needed released. And she wanted a piece of those orcs. A big piece. She did not enjoy nearly being their lunch.

She looked up at Leo then at everyone else. "So, we wait till they attack, or do we make the first move?" She looked up at Leo, wondeirng what he would do. On this side, his cloak didn't look as cool. She sighed, almost disappointingly. Man, why did that always happen?

Nyme

Nyme leaps to her feet and looks in the direction of the war cry. "Now would be a good time to make my escape." she thought. "But this could be a good time to see how good these adventurers are in a fight. Besides, they might need my help." Nyme takes a few steps back to watch the battle and readys herself to join the battle if need be.

Naden's slow trot was brought to a halt. Down the road a cloud of dust was being churned up, and as it got closer war cries rang throughout the air.

"Blighted snotskins!" He swore, drawing his long blade and watching them approach. Twisting in his saddle to look at the others, he saw at some point the spectral figure and the snake girl had reappeared. Some had weapons ready, they all stood there watching the enemies approach.

"What are you waiting for?!" Naden Yelled at them. He turned and charged down the road, shouting all the way.
