He awoke, disoriented, weak, exhausted ... and covered in blood. He ran his hands over his body -- which for reasons he didn't recall was entirely without clothing -- and found no wounds; it wasn't his blood. It was everywhere, though; on his hands, his forearms, his thighs ... his inner thighs. He reached to his face and found it covered as well, particularly about his mouth and chin.

What the fuck is going on...?

He was sitting on his haunches, trembling from the dark room's deep coldness; he'd been wrapped in the lower reaches of a window's plush draperies when he came to, which he'd presumed he done to keep himself from freezing. But ... it wasn't really cold in the room, was it? His breath didn't steam as it left his mouth. And although he couldn't see the numbers from here, the red dial on the wall thermostat a few feet away well near the high end, the warm end. The room wasn't cold ... he was.

He tried to move, but his entire body erupted in pain, the type of pain you get a day or two after excessive, unusual exertion. He turned and looked out the French Doors, toward the sun which had just risen over the distant mountains. It was beautiful ... and yet ... something told him that the sun was a bad thing this morning. How could a beautiful sunrise be a bad thing...?

He leaned away from the glass, allowing his body to fall out of the draperies and onto the room's hard wood floor. Typically, laying on wood like this in the nude would feel like sitting down on a frozen lake, yet it didn't affect him a bit.

But, it did affect him in a way he hadn't expected. Out of the harsh, red rays of the rising sun, he seemed to be suddenly filling with energy, as if taking extra strong coffee through an IV right into his blood stream. He crawled to his knees, then stood; he felt ... good, really good all of a sudden. This was ... not normal, he thought. Why would simply moving out of the sun's direct path--

And then he saw her, and his stomach turned over with shock. He slapped his hand over his mouth, afraid he would hurl and turned away for a moment. But something told him he was supposed to look at her, look at the woman lying still and silent in the bed ... the mussed ... bloodied ... bed.

He turned back, staring at her for a long moment, then crossed to the foot of the huge canopied sleeping set up. She was naked, too, and covered in blood. The condition of the bed told him there had been a struggle; the blood, the fitted sheets pulled loose, the top mattress and inch or two off-kilter from the box spring.

No ... it wasn't a struggle, he began remembering. At least ... not at first. At first...

The night was coming back to him. They'd met; they'd like each other; they'd rented this room. They'd been in the midst of making love ... No, not making love, he corrected himself. This was hard, dirty sex!

He looked to the woman's legs, to her thighs, to where they met. He knelt on the bed, taking her top knee and opening her up to him. Again, he slapped his hand over his mouth. The wound was still fresh, with wet blood oozing slowly from punctures in her inner thigh just an inch from her--

He spun and sat on the bed's end. He remembered it all. She'd begged him to go down on her, and he had. And as she exploded from the work of his mouth and tongue upon her, he ...

Oh, god! What the fuck!

He looked at his hands again, looked at the blood. You ... bit her! He remembered it clearly; he'd pleasured her until she exploded with ecstasy -- for some unknown reason he'd needed her to be in ecstasy! -- and then ... he sank his fangs -- fangs! -- into her thigh ... and sucked ... her ... blood!

Why would he do that? It didn't make sense. He wasn't a freak. He was just a guy. Just a horny guy who met a horny woman and came to a cheap hotel to fuck! And then ... he killed her. He bit her, drained her blood, let her die right there on--

He leaped from the bed and spun back to it, his heart pounding so hard it was difficult to make out her words and she mumbled, "Wha- hap-pen... -pen to ... me...?"

As Lunas body came back to a reality she felt the pain first her thigh hurt the most slowly she opened her eyes and found herself stareing at the roof. Slowly and not without pain she propped herself up on one elbow. "Wha- hap-pend...t-to me?" Slowly she noticed the male at the end of the bed he was covered in blood but looked to be alright for someone with that much blood on them. Sitting up compleatly the pain in her thigh incressed and she looked down only for her breath to catch and her heart to almost stop. "Wha-..." She couldent breath it was her blood from her thigh. It was comeing from two holes. She looked up as the male turned the blood that covered him covered his chin and mouth as well. She gasped and pulled back as far as she could away from him. Her mind was realing and her ears banging with the sound of her blood in her ears. "Blood..your.." She stoped in her mind flashed images of what happend the night before.

Luna had arived at the party the night before dressed in her tight little purple dress that showed every curve her ass had. Not to long after she had arived she met him he introduced himself. Right a bout now she couldent quite remember who he was. They danced and talked for the longest time and then they left together in her car ariveing at this hotel after that the night was a blur. Lunas hand touched her head as she sat there trembeling on the bed the wound on her leg had stoped bleeding but the room smelled ranced with blood. Her eyes opened as she stared at the male shakeing her lavender dyed hair in her face a mess. "What did you do to me..." Her voice shaky and cracking a bit.

Panic began to set in; he wasn't exactly sure what had happened here, but he knew is was probably a jail-able offense. He searched the room, then quickly began snatching up his clothes.

"I'm sorry," he blurted to her, "I didn't mean to hurt you!"

Finding his last shoe, he burst out the door into the motel's hallway, ramming a woman and knocking her to the floor. He continued on, hollering back, "Sorry!"

He tried dressing as he went, pulling his shirt over his head, hopping on first one foot then the other to pull his pants up his legs. At the top of the stairs, he lost his balance and tumbled half a flight to the landing. He righted himself, unfazed; it hadn't hurt a bit, despite having done three full flips as he descended.

He didn't stand immediately, instead snatching at his nearby shoes, pulling them onto his feet, and only then standing and continuing his flight down the stairs and out of the flea-infested motel...

Back on the second floor, the woman in the hallway righted herself as well, putting her directly in the open doorway that the man had flown out of. Inside, a naked woman looked out at her from atop blood soaked sheets.

"Oh my god!" the woman cried out. She belted out questions so quickly the girl couldn't have answered them if she'd wanted to: "Are you okay, honey? Do you need a doctor? An ambulance? Did he do this? Should I call the cops? I'll call the cops, and an ambulance! It'll be okay, honey?"

And ... she was gone, her heavy foot steps echoing from down the hallway as she hollered, "Someone call 9-1-1, someone call 9-1-1...!"

(OOC -- Reply as you wish; your character will not see my character until he comes to here. FYI, the cops and ambulance will take about 14 minutes, but no one else will come to her aid, not even the woman in the hall way. So, write it as you want your character to react, with or without authorities. :) )

Luna saw him panic as he scrambled to get his clothes and leave the room knocking over a lady in the hallway. Surprised at his retreat she didn't know how to act as she moved on the bed to look around the door. She sees the woman get up and then she see her catch sight of Luna and she jumped as the strange woman rushed in.

It'll be okay, honey?" She asked Luna but before Luna could answer the woman was out the door leaving Luna to sit there.

Luna moved off the bed and looked at the sheets and gasped She hadn't know that she had bled that much. With all the blood on the bed she shouldn't be alive moving slowly to the bathroom spreading her legs she looked at the holes in her leg "Did he stab me and drink my blood?" She asked herself she couldn't quite remember. All she remembered was he directed her here and they bought a room an made there way up kissing and teasing each other on the way.

About fourteen to fifteen minutes later she heard the sirens of the ambulance and the police cars moving from the bathroom she went back in to the main Room. Moments later the room was filled with paramedics and police bum rushing her and asking her questions.

Minutes later rapped in a sheet she was exiting the hotel on a strecher and in to the ambulance to the hospital near by.

The moment he hit the sidewalk -- the moment he was once again in the direct sunlight -- his body was wracked with pain; he doubled over, falling to his knees with a deep, animal-like groan of pain.

"You alright, buddy?" some unseen voice near asked.

He ignored the man and, struggling, rose unsteadily back to his feet and backed to the door once more. As the pain diminished, he headed along the shadowy edge of the brick structure until he reached the alley, then sprinted as fast as he could away.

He stayed in the shadows, using the buildings, store awnings, even moving deliver trucks to stay out of the sun. He didn't understand why the sun would do this to him. Hell, he didn't understand much at this point. Looking around, he didn't know where he was, although he sensed that he'd been here often, maybe even living here; and he didn't recognize the people he passed, despite hearing the same name -- Paul -- hollered at him again and again in concerned tones.

He found a dark alcove between two buildings and stepped into it to rest, and think. He looked to his hands again. My god, what did I do...? What did I do to that woman?

"You okay, Mister?" The kid was standing atop a skate board, staring at him with a puzzled look. "You look like shit, man. You need a doctor?"

He looked at his hands again. He told the kid he was alright -- "It's not real blood, I'm fine" -- then shot down the alley, his destination suddenly clear to him. He burst out of the alley, braving a dozen yards of sun-induced terror before surging into the woods of Barker Park. Barker Park ... it's called Barker Park ... I remember that, Barker Park.

He made his way to a small pond and simply dove in, immediately beginning to rub his hands over his body, re-hydrating the blood covering his body and scrubbing it off. He worked at it for several minutes, then emerged and, dripping a trail of water behind him, hurried to the south end of the park where a pedestrian tunnel passed under a highway, the Peterson Causeway, his returning memory told him. He stopped near a Service Access, looked about and saw no witnesses, then twisted the locking mechanism a specific way. The Access's door opened with a loud, metallic squeal.

Inside the darkened hole of a space, he easily found a string dangling from the ceiling and pulled it. The room lit up ... and he knew he was home.

Luna some how found herself sitting on a bed in a hospital room waiting on a doctor as the nurse on hand gave her a sponge bath to get the dried blood off her skin. The woman was light skinned with fair hair and a bit chunky but over all a pretty sight Luna thought. Unlike herself Luna had a pale complexion which made her look more like a porcelain doll and she was quite skinny and her lavender hair made her look like some Japanese model along with her only weight about 120 she looked even more the part. In the midst of her thinking she heard he nurse say she was finished and to put the hospital gown on and wait.

After the Nurse left Luna stood to her feet and crossed the room to the pile of hospital clothes in the chair and began to slip the gown on to her shoulders as she did she noticed another pair of holes in her shoulder like the ones on her thigh and red scratches along her hips and belly. She could remember the scratches in the midst of him taking her clothes off that night and raking his nails down her skin sending small sparks of pleasure through her. Shaking her head she drove the thoughts of pleasure from her mind.

Luna had put the gown on and returned to the bed and waited for the doctor to come in. after about ten minutes a woman came in and introduced her self as Dr. Hanna.

“How are you feeling Miss.LaClare” the doctor asked as she wrote a few things o the file in her hands ad then looked up at Luna.

“I feel fine Doc except for the burses and the holes I found I in my shoulder and thigh they twinge and sting a bit when I move wrong” she said as the doctor moved over to her and took a look at her shoulder and then scrawled something on to her file.

“Can you show me the other holes and tell me how you got them? The police said there was a man seen fleeing the Hotel did her do this to you?”

Luna fumbled with the strings on the gown and pulled the gown open and open her legs enough to show that there two deep wholes in her skin and a burse of a hand like some one had held it to stop her from getting away. “I don’t know if he did it but yes there was some one there.” She didn’t want to tell her that he had blood on his face like he ad drunken her blood they might lock her away in the psycho ward Luna dident need that she just wanted to go home.

“Well Miss.LaClare we are going to run a few tests and see if your fit to leave or if we need to keep you here for a while you Alright?” she closed the file and sent the nurse in to draw blood and other things as she waited for the results Luna watched a bit of television and slept. Later on that night the nurse came in and woke her up to tell her she was all clear to leave in the morning and to take some iron pills. Luna took the pills and went back to sleep.

Looking around his lair -- as he'd jokingly began calling it and, for a lack of another word, still did -- everything from the night before flashed back to him in an instant: feeling hungry, finding the party, meeting the girl, taking her to the hotel ... feeding on her!

The fact of what he was came back to him hard. Oh god, why me...?

He'd been a normal guy with a normal job and a normal life, and all he did was pick up the wrong woman at the wrong bar in the wrong part of town ... and how, he was this!

He stripped out of the wet, stained clothes, turned on a small propane stove, and burned the evidence to ash, the acrid smoke rising and escaping through the cracks in the bridge concrete. He ate -- this time, real food -- and drank most of a bottle of wine as he simply slouched back in a tattered old leather chair he'd found abandoned on the side of the Causeway and drug down here.

His home away from home was fairly comfortable ... at least, immediately after he'd been on a feeding spree. He preferred the near darkness and cool temperature -- the latter kept the bugs and smell down -- and the sounds of the traffic overhead seemed to damper his memories, his sickening recollections of what he'd done in the hours just before arriving here each time.

But he wouldn't stay here for long; twenty hours, sometimes less. It really depended upon how he'd fed ... and upon who. He closed his eyes and recalled the young woman he'd abandoned in the flea-bag motel. She'd been ... nice ... very nice. And, despite knowing that it was a very, very bad idea, he was already considering feeding on her once again.

No ... no, you can't do that. He stood and crossed the dark room, pacing to and fro several times as he contemplated his next step concerning the woman. Once each, that's the rule!

He dropped back into the chair, closing his eyes again, seeing the woman again. She'd been perfect. She was exotic, erotic, easily stimulated, and multi-orgasmic. The later was what made her special, for to get what he needed from a Host -- or Hostess, in this case -- sexual satisfaction was a must! Sexual satisfaction releases a variety of hormones, including but not at all limited to endorphins and adrenaline.

It was these, not the blood itself, that he needed to survive. Oh, he could simply scare someone to death to get the adrenaline pumping -- terrorize them with a show of his fangs or extra-human strength -- but it just wasn't the same thing. Not only that, but a fear-feeding would only sustain him for a day, maybe two; a fuck-n-suck could sustain him for weeks ... and this last one with the Purple Haired Girl, hell, he probably wouldn't have to feed again until Christmas!

But, of course, there was another problem, too, and while this didn't affect him so much directly, it was something he had to keep in mind if he wanted to keep his condition a secret from the Authorities: the Purple Haired Girl was going to need a fix soon. And if he didn't provide it to her ... well, it wouldn't be pretty is all.

Purple Haired Girl... Usually, once he'd returned to The Lair and regained knowledge of who and what he was, he remembered more about the person he'd fed upon. But in this case, the memories simply weren't there. He was pretty sure he knew why: he'd fed on the girl too much, biting her twice, sucking a couple of pints -- enough to nearly kill her -- and making love to her again and again and again, not necessarily in that order. He'd really taken to her ... which was the problem. His mind had been so overwhelmed with the life force she was providing him, that he'd forgotten the little details of their encounter, such as who she was and how the hell he was going to find her to make sure she didn't break down, physically and mentally before he was able to provide her the fix she would need to function properly.

Purple Haired Girl ... relax ... I'm on the way, to save the day...

An hour later, he was back in his upscale condo, changing out of the jeans and sweat shirt he'd had waiting in The Lair and donning a two thousand dollar suit. A short drive later, he was sitting in Moreno's, across from a shady looking character who had already sucked down four shots of Jack Daniels before he'd arrived. The man scribbled into his notebook again, then looked up to the man paying for the expensive dinner.

"So, Mister Price," the man began, using the alias he'd been given the first time the men met for business, "Young, early twenties, pretty, fair complexion, hundred and ten, hundred and twenty pounds--" The man looked up at him questioningly. "--purple hair?"

"Dyed," Price said softly. "Dyed purple. Very nice, not a cheap home job."

"So ... maybe she's a rocker," the man began, his eyes on his notebook, "lead singer for some punk band. Hair dresser, showing off her skills to the walk-ins. Maybe she's just a freak, with no job or responsibilities ... so if she wants to color her hair purple and pierce every appendage and orifice--"

"Just ... find her," he said, annoyed with the man's unnecessary speculation.

"Check the hospitals, the free clinics," the man continued. "The Vets."

"Vets...? As in, veterinarians?"

"Hey, these kids ... when they want drugs, they go to the vets. Some of the best party drugs are used on dogs ... horses."

"What's that got to do with--"

"You said she was bit by a dog, right? Well, if she wants to keep off the police's radar, the best place a party girl can get treated by a real Doctor--"

"I didn't say she was a party girl," Price cut in, his voice rising with his annoyance. "I said I met her at a party."

"A purple haired girl who went home with you the night you met her, to have sex and get bit by your dog--"

"She didn't go home with me to get bit by my fucking dog!"

The investigator sat back in his chair, gesturing whoa. "Settle. Sorry. My bad in the misspeaking department, Chief."

He pulled out his wallet, pulled out all of the cash, and tossed it onto the table before the man. "One thousand dollars. Two thousand more when you get me her name, address ... phone number if possible." He leaned in closer and, with a softer voice added, "Another five thousand if you can prevent her from going to the authorities about..."

"Being bit by your dog...?" the man asked, a knowing smirk spreading across his face.

He waved the waitress over with a check please gesture. Looking back to the man, he responded softly, "Yes ... dog. Can you find her?"

"Of course I can, Chief."

Price handed the waitress a credit card when she arrived and asked her to tally the check, add a twenty percent gratuity, and -- staring down at his guest again with a disapproving glare -- run a tab for the rest of the evening.

After she departed, he finished with, "I want this young woman found ... to ensure her safety and ... to put my mind at ease."

"Sure thing," the man said, downing another shot of whiskey. He smiled broadly, waving the empty glass at the bartender, then saying, "I'll keep in touch, Chief."

"Miss.LaClare...Miss.LaClare?" Through the fog of a most bizarre dream she heard the voice of a woman calling out to her and softly shaking her awake. Slowly Luna opened her eyes and blinked at the harsh morning sun streaming through the windows. Blinking a few times ore made it better but not by much. She noticed the Nurse Had some clothes in her hands for her so she sat up and moved her hair out of her face.

"Miss.LaClare i brought you some clothes to change in to and the purse they recovered at the Hotel and your car is down stairs waiting on you. When you are ready you can get dressed and we will wheel you down stairs so you may go home" The nurse placed the clothes at the foot of the bed and she left Luna alone to get dressed.

Slipping from beneath the blankest she stood to her feet with some soreness and pain but other than that she was fine. Pulling off the blueish white Hospital gown and took the bra from the pile slipping it over her lightly careful of her sore and lightly bruised D cup breasts and clipping it in the back. then from the pile she pulled the underwear and slipped them over the finger print bruises on her curvaceous hips that had appeared over the night. Luna finally slipped on the shirt and the pants and the flip flops that were there and called the nurse.

The nurse returned with a wheelchair and a male nurse an had Luna sit in side and wheel her to the elevator. With her things in her lap she was rolled out to the front door and she stood as her car was parked not to far from the entrance she thanked the nurses and began to leave.

Luna got in to the car and started it up and pulled out of the hospital with a sigh. "Well i cant make it to classes to day its too late." She drove for about 45 minutes to her house in the north district. Pulling i to the drive way she got out and looked at the house her parents bought her and smiled "home sweet home.." stepping inside she took off all of her clothes leaving a trail to the upstairs bathroom. turning on the water she ran a warm bath and sliped in closing her eyes.

Price's cell vibrated on the coffee shop table. He pushed a button and read the text: it simply read Found her. He smiled. It had been three days since the incident in the motel room, far longer than he thought it should have taken.

"Luna LaClare," the detective told him, lifting his shot glass and downing the whiskey.

Price cocked his head and chuckled. "Excuse me...?"

The man smiled broadly. "No joke. Cool name, huh? Maybe she is one of those punk rockers after all, whatcha think?"

Price gestured impatiently for the man to give his full report.

The private investigator opened his little notebook and flipped a few pages. "Luna LaClare. Don't have an age 'cause I didn't actually see the medical report. But, they took her by ambulance to Sacred Heart. Treated her for bruises, lacerations, and what the nurse--" He waggled an eye brow up and down and winked. "--whom I'm having dinner with tomorrow night ... what she wrote down as, and this is a quote, "Bite marks, possibly canine, inflicting serious wounds that require stitching."

"Stitches...?"

The detective flipped another page, then gave Price a curious look. "Well, you see, that's the funny thing about it. My nurse friend said that when the doctor returned to stitch up the wounds ... they'd healed enough to forgo doing the procedure. Weird huh?"

Price lifted his drink to sip, then answered without commitment, "Weird."

"Sure, but ... here's the really weird part, Mister Price." The man leaned in closer, as if telling a friend a secret. "My friend ... did I tell you we're having dinner ... and drinks ... and, who knows...?"

"You were saying...?" Price pushed impatiently.

"Sure, take the fun out of it. Okay, so my friend says that the girl, this Lu-na La-Clare ... I just love the sound of it, don't you...? She says there was a man there. That she thinks that maybe it was the man who bit her. She didn't say nothing about no dog ... Mister Price. Weird ... huh?"

Price ignored the man's insinuation and reached into his jacket, withdrawing his wallet. "Address? Phone?"

As the man looked to his notes and read the address, explaining that no phone number had been given despite the retrieval of a cell phone from the scene, Price counted off the man's payday. He held out the money, separated by his index finger into two bundles. "And are the police investigating."

"The police...?" the man repeated with a knowing tone. "What would they be investigating, Mister Price?"

Price hesitated, then with a slight smirk confirming the man's suspicions that there was likely a whole lot more here than he wanted to admit, he answered, "A dog attack, of course."

The investigator chuckled, then shook his head. "No, Mister Price. There will be no investigation. My friend ... when I told her that I have a small place on the beach and I would love to take her there for some sun and rum, she accidentally shredded the report. The cops don't even have the girl's name anymore."

Price withdrew his finger, and handed the entire wad to the man. As he stood to don his overcoat, he said with an authoritative tone, "You'll be losing those notes, too, I presume."

The man hesitated, studying Price, then opened the notebook, jerked out the pages, and dropped them onto the counter.

"Thank you. I'll be in touch if ever I need you again."

"Oh, you'll be needing me again, Mister Price." When Price shot him a hard look, the private detective smiled and said, "I suspect that you're the type of a man who should have a private investigator on retainer. See ya around."

Price considered the man's statement for a moment, then scooped up the notes and headed away. Half way to the door, he tossed the pages into the gas fireplace that was intended to give the bar a homey feel but, for Price, only fouled the air.

Luna LaClare,, he thought, recalling the address the man had read him. It'll be nice to make your acquaintance ... again.

It had been three days since the day in the motel and Luna had resumed fairly normal life. Luna was just coming out of this little coffee shop and and got into her car and sat there a moment siting there sipping her coffee. Luna was on her way to her evening classes she had about an hour to kill before class so she sat there at the little coffee shop on campus. "Mmm.." Luna was listening to the bass in the rock song that was blasting through the speakers.

Luna watched as the sun set behind the buildings after draining the cup of the last of its contents Luna went to her trunk. Pulling the purple bass guitar from the trunk she crossed the lawn and into the building. walking down the hall she arrived at room 306 walking in she noticed the teacher wasn't there yet and everyone was just lounging around playing lazily. Luna took her normal seat on the highest part of the classroom and sat there leaning on the wall. Moments later the teacher entered the room and handed out the assignment for the night. grabbing the assignment she began working on the the music theory.

Music was Luna's major she was a very good bass guitarist and played with the school in concerts they put on every few months. A few hours later she was packing up her things and heading out. One of her class mates stops her and says

"Hey Luna" he was acting a bit nervous "I was wondering if you wanted to go and see the new action movie ?"

Luna smiled and politely turned him down she wasn't feeling quite well and she wanted to get home and eat. Getting in to her car she drove off arriving home about 20 minutes later. With bag of Wendy's and her guitar she walked in to the house setting her food on the kitchen table. Luna walked in to the living room and placed her guitar down on the rack she had by the television. walking back to the kitchen she sat down and pulled out her food and began to eat.

Price was parked kitty-corner to the campus coffee shop. The girl, Luna LaClare, had been sitting there for nearly an hour, sipping at coffee ... and apparently just waiting. As the sun began setting, she stood and headed for her car.

The timing was perfect, of course; Price wasn't affected -- brought to pain -- as much by the sun now, days after his feeding, but long exposure to it was draining of his energy. He'd never quite understood the sun's effect on him. Why would feeding, which brought him back to strength in every other way, enhancing his senses, strength, and mental acuity, also make him so vulnerable to that big, bright ball in the daytime sky?

He'd expected her to fire up her car and take off; he'd parked in such a way as to inconspicuously follow her, no matter what direction she headed out. But instead, she opened the car's trunk, removed a guitar, and headed across the lawn. He was tempted to follow, but didn't. He wasn't sure whether she would recognize him or not, and if she did, the first words out of her mouth were going to be Police!

No, he had another option that worked just as well.

A couple of hours later, Luna entered her house with a bag of fast food and her guitar, putting the latter away and sitting down at the table to eat the prior when she looked up and saw Price standing there in the door way to the kitchen, less than a yard from her.

She immediately opened her mouth -- likely to scream, Price knew -- but a sweep of his hand between them stopped her; the confusing messages that he was causing her own brain to send in every direction would prevent her from speaking, standing, running ... pulling out a gun and shooting him!... anything that she might consider when seeing her attacker standing within arms length of her, in her own kitchen.

He stepped a bit closer, pulling out the chair opposite her, and sitting down; he wore a friendly smile, hoping to put her jumbled mind at ease. But he could see The After Effect already getting to her...

Just as the sun had it's effects on Price, Price had his own effects on the people he fed off of. Right now, Luna LaClare's own hormones and adrenaline were coursing through her body in levels doctors would say were impossible, or at least not natural. Price would simply call the un-human, or at least beyond-human.

But they were doing one thing, the thing that his bite had ensured they would do if ever he visited her again: they were making Luna LaClare want Gregory Price ... want him in the most carnal way. She was being torn apart right now, he knew; her instinct was to run, flee, go for help ... and yet, at the same time, she was so badly wanting to strip her clothes off and mount him!

Price gave her a few more seconds to assess her feelings, to think about the situation. He said quietly, "I'm not here to hurt you, Luna. I'm here to talk. I ... I just want to talk to you ... so, please..."

He hesitated for a moment, raised a hand between them, and repeated his wave between their faces ... releasing his hold upon her.

Luna was just eating her burger reaching over she had picked up her drink when she saw some thing in the corner of her eye. Looking over she drops he burger and her breath catches in her throat. It was him the man from that night her heart began to race and her eyes blurred a bit she mouth opened to scream and then nothing. Her voice was caught in her throat she wanted to scream for help but nothing but the hot rush of air passed her lips. Luna also felt this other feeling this deep wanting but It was minimal right now the only thing that dominated her mind was the fear of the man before her. Her only thought was how did he find her was he going to kill her. What did he want from her exactly?

Luna watched the man pull the chair at the table out and smile at her in a friendly manner then he spoke in the calmest and quite manner "I'm not here to hurt you, Luna. I'm here to talk. I ... I just want to talk to you ... so, please..." Her eyes widened he knew her name how did he know her name no one she ever randomly met knew her real name. she sat there her mind reeling and her heat thumping in her hands were shaking a bit as she sat there under some sort of spell. What was he how could this man bind her body herself. She was sure it was him who was doing it but how was he a hypnotist the thought to herself.

Luna watched him wave his hand in front of her face again and she could move with all the force of her trying to run before coming out in one large burst she caused the chair to flay backwards and her body to hit the near by counter and slump to the floor. She looked up at him from the floor as she scooted back trying to stay out of his reach. “Who are you” she demanded “What do you want from me” this time her voice a little more scared and shaky. She remained on the floor as far away from the man that was intruding on her in her own house.

She fell back to the floor and crawled away from him, asking, "Who are you? What do you want from me?"

He could see that she was scared; released from his control, her body immediately began trembling. He held his hands up in a surrender gesture, saying, "I'm not going to hurt you, Luna. I promise. My name is Price ... and ... we spent the night together ... remember?"

After he reminded her of their rather unsettling evening, he wondered whether it had been a good idea. But it was done, and the only thing to do was continue reassuring her that she had nothing to fear.

Price knew that the longer he was near her, the faster the unexplainable animal lust within her would build. If he couldn't settle her down, ease her fear, he wasn't sure what the battling emotions within her could do to her.

"I'm not going to move from this chair," he reassured her. "I won't rise, I promise. If you continue to sit there, I will continue to sit here. If you run, I'll let you. I mean that. I have no desire to harm you. I am here ... to explain the other night. That's all."

He gave her a moment to contemplate his statements. He'd always thought it such an irony that in his condition, he had such useful abilities -- he often thought of them as beyond-human, but never super-human -- and yet he still, just as when he was only a man, still couldn't figure out what a woman was thinking. It was probably why, before he became what he was today, he'd been divorced twice and alone for far too long.

He glanced down to her body, wondering whether she was still trembling; she was. While his gaze was lowered, he couldn't help but notice the darkened spot in her clothes between her upper thighs. Pee your panties? he wondered, or just wet them?

He diverted his eyes for a moment, embarrassed that he'd even thought about her situation like that. The lust was kicking in, he knew that; but that didn't excuse his thoughts, even if he didn't speak them out loud.

Maybe that's why you're twice divorced, asshole... 'cause you used to speak those thoughts out loud, huh?

Luna at there her looking at him wide eyed yes she remembered him and she did want answers but she didn't know if she could trust him not to move from the spot he now sat in. Pulling her knees to her chin gave a clear view of the wetness between her legs unbeknownst to Luna that was growing the sent of her arousal startled her looking down she snapped her legs shut looking at him she blushed deeply rose to her feet and raced out of the kitchen into the near by bathroom and shut the door. Luna could feel his presence on the other side of the door. "What do you do you want from me price" Her voice was barely a whisper and she was pressed up against the shower wall and her breathing was a bits raspy. Luna slid down the wall as she was the slowly creak open because of the fact she had not shut it all the way. Looking at the man named Price she trembled her a bit but not with fear at this point. If he were to look between Luna's legs he wound see her hand in her pants trying to hide the smell and the wetness that came pouring from her.

Price watched after her as she fled; he wanted to leap up, get between her and the apartment's entrance, to ensure she didn't flee, maybe even go for the cops. But, he needed her to calm down, to not fear him, so he let her go and took a chance.

Instead of hearing the front door open and slam, he only heard a slam; from the sound and source of the next noises, he knew she was in the bathroom. He was relieved. Baby steps, he told himself. Baby steps are better than no steps at all.

He turned back to the table, putting his back to the nearby door. She needed a moment, he knew. He was willing to give her as many moments as she needed if, in the end, it resulted in the two of them sitting down together to talk out the current situation.

His acute hearing heard her whisper, "What do you want from me, Price?"

He contemplated his answer for a moment and was about to answer, when he focused on a decorative mirror over the kitchen stove. It wasn't the "Bass Players Do It Down Low" line that caught his attention, although that did tickle his funny bone; it was that, focusing the eagle sharp eye sight he had now that he'd recently fed, he could see that the bathroom door had opened a bit behind him, and he could see Luna sitting on the floor watching him ...

... with her hand down the front of her pants.

"I'm going to stand now, Luna," he said steadily, trying not to frighten her. "I know I said I would just sit here ... but--"

He turned in the chair and stood, not looking at her for fear that he would embarrass her. "I'm going to come over there ... to talk ... so, don't be afraid of me."

He hesitated, giving her a moment to react, adding as he moved slowly toward the cracked-open door, "You have no need to fear me, Luna."

Luna at there and watched him move closer to the the bathroom door as it creaked open farther and showed the male standing there Luna had stopped trembling by now the adrenalin out pumping the fear but she still sat there on the floor of the glass shower her hand still in her pants near the scars left on her legs. "You didn't answer my question Price..." She said pulling her ands free of her pant and running them under the warm water to rid them of the stickiness. Luna knew he has seen her pull them out so as a result she had a small blush on her cheeks and she was a bit embarrassed. "Why are you here...How do you know may name... What are you..." Luna had many questions and few answers and she was so confused.

"You didn't answer my question Price," Luna pressed. "Why are you here...? How do you know may name...? What are you...?"

"What am I?" Price repeated, chuckling, attempting to continue putting her at ease. He shrugged. "I'm ... just a man. That's all. Nothing special."

He stepped slowly into the bathroom, remaining as non-threatening as he possibly could. He'd dismissed his earlier promise to stay seated, and with all the adrenaline and hormones flooding her, it was looking like she'd either forgotten it, too, or hoped he would come follow her.

He could see the confusion rising in her, could see it in her expression, in her blushing skin, in her darting eyes that -- whether she knew it or not -- were beginning to walk over him like they had three nights earlier at the party. He could sense that she was nearly past the fear, that the sexual drive that was part of the Price aftermath was overriding the protective instinct that had thrown her back away from her when she'd first seen him tonight.

He wasn't surprised, really, that the transformation was happening so quickly. They had interacted that night as he hadn't done so with a woman in several years. The sex had gone on for hours; they'd played with just about every sexual position, performing every sexual act, occupying every horizontal surface -- even a few vertical ones, he remembered, recalling fucking her against the window with a trio of home boys encouraging them from the street below.

And once they'd cum again and again and it was time for him to feed, Price had done that to excess as well. He'd drained too much from her; he knew that now. He'd been lucky not to have killed her. But, she'd tasted so ... wonderfully! It hadn't just been about feeding, that night. So often, the taste of his victim's blood in his mouth was the equivalent to three day old coffee that hadn't been brewed well in the first place; if you needed the caffeine bad enough, you drank it ... and often, with respect to blood, it was the same situation.

But with Luna, he'd treasured her. She was like Rocky Road ice cream, sushi, mushroom pizza ... chocolate ... all rolled up in one.

And now, looking at her all huddled up in the back of the shower, he wanted so badly to taste her again. But, he knew he couldn't. She'd felt well enough to return to her life, going to school and such; but Price knew that, no matter how well she thought she might be, she was still vulnerable to him. To taste her tonight might very well kill her.

But -- he smiled a bit at the thought -- there was no reason they couldn't make love. He could tell by the way she was beginning to squirm there on the porcelain that her body was and would soon be screaming for satisfaction at his hands. It was simply part of the process, particularly since they'd gone to that excess those three days earlier.

He offered a hand out slowly, asking, "Would you like to go sit somewhere more comfortable ... with me ... so, so we can talk?"

Luna warily watched Price enter the bathroom and look at her like she was some sort of sight to be hold and for a brief moment she could have sworn he looked at her like she was food like something that was a rare delicacy. In that same moment the thought was swept away from her being and in to the swirling mess that made up her mind right about now. She didn't know if she could trust him at all or if she should run but there was no where to go he was blocking the door and she probably couldn't fight him at all. Then again he had been here quite some time and he had not hurt her yet. Back in the kitchen he could have hurt her or killed her but still he had not made a single move further than she would let him come. Luna battled with in her mid for a few minutes when she heard him speak again.

"Would you like to go sit somewhere more comfortable ... with me ... so, so we can talk?" She noticed his out stretched hand. Luna looked down to her own hand and battled within her mind a few moments more before she lifted her hand and used the leverage to pull her self up letting go she looked at him again she was a bit shorter than him but not by much. she let go of his hand and wiped her face. He just wants to talk luna she thought to her self and taking a deep breath she shuddered trying to cal her nerves and the unrelenting desire to push him against the bathroom wall and beg her to take her like three nights before.

Before she thought she was beginning to remember she had Met Price at this party she had gotten randomly invited to and she thought he was good looking. She remembered leaving the party with him and going to the Motel she had woken up in the next morning., but now she remembered what had happened before she had woken up. Sex lots of sex fast sex, slow sex, sex in various positions she didn't even know was possible he had made her orgasm so many time is was wonderful then she asked him to eat her and that's where things got fuzzy. Luna shook the thoughts away that was then she just wanted to know why there was so much blood.

Luna moved around him slowly and with careful steps began walking down the hall "Follow me" she said in a quite tone leading him to the living room sitting in the plush purple chair that adorned her living room she offered him the couch. Jumping up she excused her self for a moment and ran upstairs to change her forgotten soaked clothes. Coming back down in a loose tee shirt and a pair of shorts she sat down her face a bit blushed. As she sat down pulling her legs up to her chin the bruises still on her legs just a bit lighter than before.

"You want to talk then talk..."

"You want to talk," she said firmly, "then talk."

Good, he thought, giving he a polite smile, we're getting somewhere. He sat on the couch, at the end nearest to her and barely on its edge, as to be as close as he could to her without sitting, figuratively, in her lap.

He'd formulated what he thought could be a plausible lie. It was the best he'd been able to come up with. In the past, stories hadn't been necessary; he fed, he left, that was it. Very rarely did he kill, and if he did it was because the donor deserved death. In the cases where he was simply feeding, the woman -- it was nearly always a woman, because of the added benefit of sex and Price's preference for women -- rarely knew him enough to find him later, so even if she did go to the cops, he had little to be worried about.

But Luna had been ... special. He'd never had a woman who tasted so good and who have revived his strength in the way she had. He wanted to have her again, both as a lover and a donor. And he knew that her sub-conscious wanted him as well -- he could see in her twitchy movements, like those of a strung out heroine addict, that her body was screaming to be satisfied.

Of course, consciously, she was still afraid of him. He had to get them past that if they were to continue their relationship.

"I just wanted to assure you that ... well, I never meant to hurt you like I did. I certainly didn't mean to run out on you like that either." He leaned a bit closer, trying to increase the intimacy between them, to enhance her belief in his lies. "I've had an investigator on the case -- that's how I found you -- and he tells me that there was a rash of attacks the other night ... the night we were together. It was drugs, Luna. Someone was spiking drinks at the party. A bunch of people did--" He shrugged his shoulders and shook his head lightly. "Stuff ... things they wouldn't normally do. There was a rape ... a beating. One guy nearly jumped off the West River Bridge, but they coaxed him down."

He leaned forward, lifting his butt from the couch and sitting it on the coffee table. He was close enough to take her hands into his now, but he didn't. Baby steps, he reminded himself.

"Listen, Luna. I..." He chuckled, feigning embarrassment. "I have to admit something. I always had this thing about ... God, I hate to even say it, it sounds so childish." He drew a deep breath and exhaled it, playing up the drama. "I've always had this thing about vampires ... and ... well, I think the drugs ... I think they made me play out a ... well, you know what I mean. I ... I bit you."

He looked at her with a sad sort of expression, hoping that the combination of what he hoped was an Oscar winning performance and the surge of hormones in her would push her toward believing, trusting, and wanting him again.

If it didn't work, he was at a loss of where to go from here. He really didn't want to have to kill her ... but, of course, it always was a viable option.

Luna watched him as he sat as close to her as possible but not too close to make her uncomfortable. Tucking her hair behind her ear she began to twich and act a bit nervously.

"I just wanted to assure you that ... well, I never meant to hurt you like I did. I certainly didn't mean to run out on you like that either." he said to her as he moved closer to her as if he made the wrong word it would shatter her and her mentality.

"I've had an investigator on the case -- that's how I found you -- and he tells me that there was a rash of attacks the other night ... the night we were together. It was drugs, Luna. Someone was spiking drinks at the party. A bunch of people did--" She watched him shake his head and move a bit closer to her "Stuff ... things they wouldn't normally do. There was a rape ... a beating. One guy nearly jumped off the West River Bridge, but they coaxed him down." she blinked and looked at him with wide eyed curiosity.

"I was drugged?" She whispered to her self as she watched him move closer and tell her about his vampire obsession and she giggled a bit. "I like vampires as well...I was just scared.. Wakening up in all that blood I shouldn't have survived ." She put her feet down on to the warm carpet and looked at him "So its not really your fault " she said the fear melting from her body.

"So its not really your fault " she said, seeming to relax.

He smiled broadly, then laughed. "Oh, and get this! It wasn't all your blood either. That obsession I was telling you about. Yeah, I know ... embarrassing. Like some Twilight wanna-be ... Well, it wasn't even real blood."

He saw a questioning look appear on her face. He quickly explained, "I mean, yes I bit you, and yes you lost some blood ... but most of it ... it was just Hollywood make up stuff I had in my bag."

He looked away toward the kitchen, trying to hide the cringing in his face. In your bag, you idiot? You didn't have a bag with you that night. You need to stop while you're ahead. He pointed off toward the kitchen, not wanting to look back at her yet. "Would you mind ... cold water? Cola maybe, anything carbonated...?"

Luna blinked and nodded as he told her that she had only lost minimal blood and that the rest of it was more of a prop type of blood. She thought back and couldn't remember what the blood felt like but she was sure he wasn't lying to her for the first time since he ad gotten there she smiled. Leaning back she thought about the things then she heard him ask about some thing to drink and she nodded "There is sprite and water in the fridge you may have some if you would like. I will be right back i need to make sure my fish and hamsters are fed" standing she grabbed some food from the hall closet and began dragging it up the stairs. At the top of the stairs she found her nipples were stiff and oddly she was very horny . She laughed and silently chastised her self for feeling the way she did feeding her fish and watering her hamster she returned back down stairs and saw how her front door was wide open. "Well that explains how he got in " she said to her self as she shut the door chuckling a bit to herself.

Price watched her head up the stairs, then himself headed for the kitchen. He found the Sprite ... then made his way slowly to the bottom of the stairs to listen. He wasn't yet convinced that he had her with his explanation; he was listening for footsteps heading down a back stairs, or her whispers into a cell phone to 9-1-1, or at the least a nearby neighbor. He even considered the idea of her pulling a weapon on him. But when she descended the stairs and he slipped back to the kitchen entrance, sipping at the bottle, she was, thankfully empty handed.

As she headed past him toward the living room again, he stepped out and took her gently by the elbow, turning her toward him. They met eyes, and Price smiled. Trying to be charming and non-threatening at the same time, he said softly, "Despite the drugs ... I remember how much fun we had. I remember ... I remember how much I enjoyed being with you."

Gently, he turned her a bit more toward him, halving the distance between their bodies. With his heightened senses, he could hear her heart beating, could feel the blood rushing through the veins in her arm; he could smell the pheromones she was exuding, like sweet nectar to a bee. He wanted her so badly, and he knew that she wanted him, at least subconsciously.

"Some day ... soon, maybe," he continued softly, his eyes dropping for a moment to the swollen nipples pressing through her shirt, then up to the gently quivering lips that needed to be kissed, often, long, and hard, "... you might trust me enough to ... be with me again...?"

(OOC -- What was the decision on writing the night they met...?)

Luna sort of jumped as she felt the coolness of his hand touch her elbow and turn her gently. she looked up at him as she talked his eyes locked on to hers. "Despite the drugs ... I remember how much fun we had. I remember ... I remember how much I enjoyed being with you." she saw him say she couldn't help but watches his lips move they looked so inviting as she continued on after turning her a bit more and closed the distance between them and continued talking "Some day ... soon, maybe," he continued softly, she watched him look at her a bit which caused her to blush tremendously "... you might trust me enough to ... be with me again...?" He was right there she didn't quite trust him fully because she didn't know if all of what he said was true. In Luna's head she turned over the thought in her head and smiled a bit. "...Maybe..If we got to know each other more."

"Maybe," she replied, "If we got to know each other more."

"Got to know each other," he repeated softly. He pulled her a little bit closer; their faces were just inches apart, his gaze moving between her eyes and those luscious lips. "What if..."

He hesitated a moment, again moving her ever so slightly closer. "What if I kissed you. You know ... to remind you ... would that classify as getting to know each other more...?
