"I'm going to finish my damn story!": a support thread

What's up, fellow struggling writers? Is anyone else struggling not to finish the story, but to get it off the ground? I have the characters - a trans knight errant and her hateful sidekick - now all I need is a story. So far, my doodling has her fighting a troll to cross its bridge, and arriving at a castle to deliver a message to the local lord only to find he's vanished. And lots of rain.

I'm about to finish chapter 13/14 and am moderately confident I'll finish the whole story within the week!

Salutations! Thanks to @NuclearFairy for giving me a nudge (which I may or may not have asked for, but it was given, and that's all that matters!) to work on Ch. 6 of OYGA.

May I present... 1800 words today! Which is more than the last two weeks combined. Okay, technically not, but I deleted almost everything I wrote because it was trash for two weeks, so... More actually decent, usable words than the last two weeks combined!

And now I have a pair of dual-clitted lizards, because hemiclits are an actual thing

Can one cock satisfy four clits? Will our hero be able to scale this sex mountain? Or will his blood run cold?

Just had my fourth chapter published and shared the fifth for checking to continue my first series A tip some may find useful - I switched from writing on a laptop to a tablet. So much easier to just pop in and do a bit whenever/wherever you get the chance or inspiration strikes rather than fight and fail to make official “writing time”, and the word count stacks up fast!

I have it on pause to switch over to my Tainted Love entry which is now officially underway. I have 900 words. It's a slow start and I don't know how long it will be. I'm guessing 15-20k? I hope that I can make the deadline.

Just tipped 3k words. Two full scenes done. Had difficulty changing gears from the novel but it's starting to roll.
