I'm turning from lesbian to bisexual.

Just a couple of thoughts....

She asked for help and we seem to have left the original purpose of the thread a long time ago.
She hasn't been back here because of that since January
We can't say that how someone feels is right or wrong, it's how they feel.
She looked for help not clarification on a label.

Just my thoughts... step off soap box and leaving the thread because this is way too much tension for an erotic site... not what I look for.

Bye.

Thank you! Been trying to get that across but they're all to busy arguing to listen. I hope they listen to you!

Unfortunately, the owners of this site think that trolling is "free speech". And that Safe_Bet's ad nauseum antics are just as important as OP's problems.

We don't have any control over that.

Please note that there wasn't any trolling until Stella started it in post #29. She apparently feels that it is perfectly fine for her to insult people who are having a discussion because she's the wannabe Queen of All Things Lit and gawd help your sorry ass if you don't kowtow to her.

BTW, her post #29 was just one of NUMEROUS examples where she has stalked me around this board with the sole intent of insulting me and never constructively adding to the conversation.

I do find it mildly amusing however, that such a preeminent troll as Stella is the first to point fingers and scream "She's a troll! Let's lynch her!". It's like Stalin screaming about evil communists FFS!

Wow! (In my opinion) someone being so angry and defensive really discourages others from contributing anything at all. Good old internet, hey..

Yup. QFT.

But the internet is not the place where cooler heads prevail, usually.

Also, nobody knows you're a dog!

Actually, not so QFT. It's much more a case of "everybody" than "someone". That is unless, of course, you dig far enough back to see who really started it.

Yeah, I had read the "someone" as "everybody" since there are multiple people being that way in this thread. Whatever though. Saving the drama for my mama. :)

Seriously?? I can't believe how far this has gone. I also can't believe that someone who is part of a community that faces a TON of prejudice would have so much anger towards other members of the same community. I'm shocked. Everyone was being so helpful to the person who started this thread and then it got turned into something else SO unnecessary. Be nice!

Amen!

In all our stories, especially matters of controversy, we strive to consider the strongest arguments we can find on all sides, seeking to deliver both nuance and clarity. Our goal is not to please those whom we report on or to produce stories that create the appearance of balance, but to seek the truth.

...

At all times, we report for our readers and listeners, not our sources. So our primary consideration when presenting the news is that we are fair to the truth. If our sources try to mislead us or put a false spin on the information they give us, we tell our audience. If the balance of evidence in a matter of controversy weighs heavily on one side, we acknowledge it in our reports. We strive to give our audience confidence that all sides have been considered and represented fairly.
With these words, NPR commits itself as an organization to avoid the worst excesses of “he said, she said” journalism. It says to itself that a report characterized by false balance is a false report. It introduces a new and potentially powerful concept of fairness: being “fair to the truth,” which as we know is not always evenly distributed among the sides in a public dispute.

Maintaining the “appearance of balance” isn’t good enough, NPR says. “If the balance of evidence in a matter of controversy weighs heavily on one side…” we have to say so. When we are spun, we don’t just report it.“We tell our audience…” This is spin!

Don't be spinning, kthnks.

That's insulting to those of us who have to draw a modicum of courage up from some fucking where in order to point out that a shrieking harpy of a bully has no authority for her opinions when she starts abusing newcomers.

Over and over and over again.

With no real way to solve the problem.

As you damn well know.

Your frustration at me is misdirected, as I think you know as well.

When you pretend to be "even handed" and give equal weight to the righteous and the wrongdoer alike, you've just given the wrongdoer permission to keep on doing wrong. And you've demonstrated that the righteous should expect no allies.

Just something to think about there.

It sounds like you're speaking to me as a moderator here, so that's how I'm going to respond.

Again, you're barking up the wrong tree. Moderators are but a proxy for the admins. If we don't follow their wishes, then we are no longer allowed to be moderators. I am neutral because I have been told to be neutral. My own personal opinions are irrelevant.

Frankly, I don't appreciate being told that I'm doing the wrong thing here, when I am following the rules of the site. I am not responsible for your feelings of responsibility simply because I do not share them. You are welcome at any time to disengage. Only you are responsible for your feelings regarding this site. This applies to everyone here. No one is forcing anyone to be here.

I have been on Literotica over 11 years, a moderator for 9 years, and I have not been chased off yet by any of the many, many people who have criticized my style of moderation or participation. In fact, the only time I have ever even considered it was when my personal safety was at risk many years ago; the admins and police were involved, the problem was solved, and I am still here.

And as I have said umpteen times before since 2003: anyone who disagrees with my moderation can take it up with Laurel. I have no idea if anyone has ever actually done this. But I will not change my style for anyone but the admins. Given that they have never criticized my style, I assume I am doing the right thing in their eyes. And that is what I will continue to do.

If anyone takes this as a personal attack, a validation of their postings, or anything else: that's on them, not me. I am not interested in interpersonal drama or who is right and wrong. The rules state very clearly what you can do about people you don't like. Beyond that, it's not my concern.

This is my final word on the issue, in public or private.

The moment you express an opinion in a thread like this one, you have stopped being neutral. And when you say you read "someone" as "everybody," and you and I and everyone else knows that's not true--

That is not a neutral opinion.

That is not being neutral. In fact, it's rather the opposite.

Sorry, this just makes me laugh, because that IS how I read it. You won't believe me, and that's fine, but I did. I'm just not caught up in the drama and I read it exactly how I said I did. So thanks for accusing me of something I didn't do, based on your own incorrect assumptions. ROFL.

If you as a moderator feel that policy here means you have to ignore bullying on the forum, than do so-- completely. To call it an "interpersonal drama" is minimizing and frustrating to the people who try to fight it.

Since there is absolutely zero tools available here to handle someone who shows up only to spew hatred, we have to try what we can. Maybe some tactic works, maybe not. Don't say one thing to me in private and then something completely different in public.

Stella just give it a fucking rest, will ya? Your problem is with me not Etoile so get off her freakin back! That she hasn't given either of us what we want proves she's being neutral - as she should!

The fact of the matter is you, via overt comments and covert PMs, have be doing your best to inflict your will onto this forum and this site. Your "will" has most recently taken the form of trying to drive me off this forum. I can't post a single comment without you starting some kind of argument. I'll own my part about responding angrily, but the bottom line is that it all goes back to you trying to make everybody kiss your ass and I'm not gonna so therefore I need to be "removed".

Tell you what, Stella. You don't like my opinions you post whatever you want to the contrary. However, if you try to brow beat me into kowtowing to you, you might as well STFU and put me on ignore.

Better yet, seeing as how you think the beliefs and policies of the owners of this site are so screwed up why don't you leave and go start your own site? Then you won't have to deal with people who won't kiss your ass and we won't have to deal with your whiny incitements.

P.S. Cuz I'm not leaving and I'm not shutting up.

I think most of us want this forum to be a safe place for people who are trying to learn about their identity without being attacked for sharing their thoughts.

You make that difficult.

Right, Stella... And you're just a pure, sweet, innocent princess whose mouth butter wouldn't melt in.

Oh, BTW, by a "safe place" don't you mean one in which everyone agrees and bows down to your princessliness?

Shouldn't you have graduated from high school by now?

Well, at least now you're back in your normal, vile & crabby assed form and off of Etoile's back just because she would kiss your ass! :D

P.S. So you STILL going through menopause? I though you be past that by now?
