Imposters, please be aware, folks

So you wouldn't mind someone sending the person impersonating you a PM talking about something very private , mistaking it to be truly you? That's what is happening. As I said on the GB , people have grown so accustomed seeing one another they don't always look carefully , and jumped to reply to a thread the jerk has made or quickly send a PM talking to them thinking them to be legit. And it disturbs me alot of persons laxness about what is going on.
I don't know how you go about business here on Lit or elsewhere on the internet, but I'd be hard pressed to delve into any personal info on any public message board. Hell, I'm weary of secure websites (https://'s). It's been said time and again that the internet is a very dangerous place to entrust personal info. I'll heed that, thank you.

Let's face it - it's the internet. It's fun, it's groovy, and it's a new avenue of expression for anyone who wants to use it. As with any playground, there will be bullies. Don't mess with them, and they won't mess with you. Draw attention to yourself, and they will come a knocking.

Some profiles/personalities are popular on these boards, true. They're great folks, and don't deserve to have trolls. Yes, I'm sick of them too. I can't understand why anyone would go to such lengths to be a pain. Such is life though. You should be able to tell who is who if you really like them.

Long gripe short: I fail to see a serious problem in all this.
