My work rejected for AI: False acvusation

One thing I learned really early on, it's pointless to try to engage with nay-sayers. Firstly, because they're unlikely to see your comment; secondly, because you're probably pissing into their self-righteous wind.
Sure enough the person who wrote those comments will never come back to my story page and read my review. I agree. But readers who liked my stories will maybe read my statement. So it's worth the effort.

That's a good choice. A writer I admire a lot has left really stupid comments on one of her stories, so I have decided that I also will. Other people will see them and (perhaps) disagree. Letting them stay and look stupid, or arguing against them, might both be better choices than deleting things you don't like. But it depends on the comment.
I follow the dog shit on your front lawn analogy - you'd clean it up, wouldn't you, unless you live in a crappy neighbourhood?

Comments are like movie posters and graffiti - they pull readers to your story, they're part of the promotion cycle. Dumb comments are like graffiti tags, they serve no purpose. Intelligent comments, on the other hand, are worth keeping, if the commenter has something useful to say, good or bad.

That's all true.
I appreciate your opininons on this matter.
I have to explain that anger has been caused by the simple fact that my first two stories were based upon real life events I experienced. That's why I was oversensitive, I guess.
