Roscoe is that pic from "Gangs of NY?"
*swoops in before Rosco can answer*
yup, sure is, he was talking about him with.. uhh, Tainted, I think in another thread.
*ducks away before Rosco gets here*

We've been waiting with baited breath. What will she wear? Smiles. Well, that might not be what keeps me up nights...but...they just showed what are the "dirtiest" restaurants in south florida on the news...and not the fun kinda dirty. Now I am not an OCD candidate but yuck! ew ew ew....

Now why would this bother me and not rotten.com? One has to wonder...

I've successfully scared myself. I was curious about that new movie Dark Water...and then I just had to look at Ringu -- now I am freaked out. lol ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. But it was worth it just to see Jennifer Connelly all wet.

Stumbled into this thread.
It reads like the blurt thread...only a little odder.

Doesn't matter...I'm bored, will read anything.

welcome Laurel! It is a place for those of us who can't sleep or even don't want to, to randomly say what comes to mind. Incomnia is like that. :) We sometimes even have coherant topics. :)

I think you should. A nightly posting is always a good thing. Besides, one cannot rely on percocet alone. :) :p

For those of you who don't know, I just started a new job (again) - it's evening shift like the last one, so in theory, being the nocturnal person that I am, I should be able to sleep, right? Wrong. There is so much mold and mildew in that jail, on top of the fact that they are painting and I'm allergic to the paint, that my sinuses have been keeping me awake. I just haven't had anything coherent to post here lately.

However, one of my coworkers knows of a place that I can go get a script for a $20 dr visit, and another place where I can get it filled for either $15 or $20, so yay! I can afford my allergy meds again. She's going to get me the address tonight or tomorrow so that I can call and go sometime soon. :) I like my new coworkers.

I am just tired of being awake until 3am every night only to be woken at 6 by a little face in mine demanding attention... Does someone have the magic sleep cure?

LOL, sounds awfully familiar. The "little face" that wakes me all night long, several times a night is my kitty's. I could shut him out of the bedroom but he is forlorn so I comfort him instead. Tonight he left me blessedly alone but a very obnoxious thunderstorm had me up and wandering the house at 4am. I get up at 5 or 5:30 anyway, so I just said fuck it.

LOL TaintedB - we have 2 cats who also demand attention early in the morning. They are much easier to ignore than the small blonde 3 year old loud boy who decides to wack you in the head with a toy until you wake up. He wants what he wants when he wants it - a Dom in the making.

I have five children, and five cats living with us. And we're about to adopt a baby (god willing). And as far as I can tell all cats and all children are dom/me's. They might change later on, but for now they definately rule the roost. I may be K's sub, but I'm there slave.

FYI, my sister, her two children and their three cats are temporarily living with us.

Oh, well, okay. I was just about to ask, where the hell did these other two kids come from? I thought you went and pulled a Manjula for a second.

(For those of you that don't watch The Simpsons, Manjula's a character that had like 9 kids cuz she couldnt get pregnant and kept taking fertility drugs.)

I wish you the best of luck with your adoption plans.

:)

LOL Well, sometimes I wonder if they're like those small fuzzy things on star trek that multiply like crazy. (What were they called?) But everytime I turn around it seems like theirs more of them. lol You get five kids in one small 1000 sq ft house, and it'll seem like their's 10, I guarantee it.

Thank you. This adoption was kinda a surprise. I have a friend from church who's preggo. She's also mentally handicapped. The state has informed her that if she doesn't put the baby up for adoption that they will be taking it. She doesn't want the child to go to just anyone, she wants him to go to a family with similar values to her, and who are good parents. She also wants him to go to parents who are ok with her being semi involved in the babies life. So she asked me and K to adopt it. On the other hand, she's due in 3 weeks, and so we're racing against the clock here. Well, the clock and the state.

In that case I REALLY wish you, and your friend, luck. Maybe I'm a bit biased because of the media and whatnot but I just hear sooo many negative things about foster care. You know there were two kids not an hour away from where I grew up that actually starved to death in foster care. *Shudder*

Their's a chance he could be adopted, but since he has mind end up having S's disabilities, a lot of couples wouldn't want him. Plus he's half mexican, so he's gonna have dark skin and dark eyes, and whether I like it or not that means that he has even less of a chance of being adopted. It's a sucky world when what children look like, and whether they're disabled or not makes it so that they have only a small chance of being adopted.

And I agree about foster care. I've known really good foster parents, but I heard recently about this baby that got taken from her parents cause her father was abusive, but her mom was doing everythign she should to get the baby back, then the baby died from being shook by her foster mom. Her biological mom is suing. They took her baby cause she wasn't safe in her home, and put her in a home where she was killed. I can definately see why the mom's pissed, I'd be out for blood.
