Introduce me to the interracial fetish

I personally don't think you need to write black/white for interracial. I know some folks don't like fetishization either, but I think it could be done somewhat ethically(not purely based on stereotypes) fetishized.

I have written one, and I also have two layouts I'm working on. One is an antebellum south, where the women are intersted in one of their slaves. The other is based off a fantasy of mine; hooking up with an Indian woman. There's a decent population of them at this one apartment complex, I used to get off the bus at, years ago.

Gato suggested I help, so here's my advice. I've tried to do my best to break the molds when it comes to IR stories, so if you're looking for something that does that, you can check out my three series. There's plenty of interracial sex in both and I think I've done a pretty good job to avoiding the extremes that sometimes are present in this genre.

That's the biggest issue with IR. All too often the characters are stereotypes and the stories are too formulaic. Black thug meets white MILF, breaks her to his will, and she becomes his willing plaything, e.g. You'll see hundreds of those types of stories in IR, the only variation being the age of the female character and the name of the Black character (Tyrone and Marcus seem to be the most common). Throw in a boyfriend or husband getting cucked, and I'd say this is the standard IR trope.

I would avoid that if you're going for something that's not your standard trope.

The other thing you see constantly is massive Black guys with huge cocks that women are apparently mesmerized by, and there's never any downside to it, which is about as realistic as a Marvel comic. I would avoid that as well. I say that having not avoided it at all in my own writing, but I've done my best to make that stuff believable in my series - there's a character, for example, who is very well endowed who thinks he's deformed because of it and that's a huge part of his character arc.

I would try to avoid anything like that if you're going for realism or the dick size isn't part of the kink of the story. For some it is, of course.

White/Asian is also a common theme, and the tropes there vary a bit more. There's the typical white male wants Asian female stuff, and then there's plenty of the reverse as well.

Generally speaking, I'd try to avoid stereotypes as much as possible.

Now, for recommendations, besides my stuff, I think TheRedLantern has written some amazing Asian IR stuff. Check it out if you want to see something different than the standard.

As for your specific story, I think a nerd Black teen meeting an older wild White girl would make a great start and you probably wouldn't fall to far into the stereotype territory. The racial mix should be fine if you want to put it into IR, and there's plenty of plot development possible depending on where and when you set the story.

I hope this helps.
This helps A LOT. Thank you so much for taking the time to reply and elucidate. I will be sure to check your stuff and TheRedLantern's too before I start typing.

We all know there are lots of different ways to write interracial stories. Many don't even have to play up that angle and just be a couple that has different backgrounds. Those can go in most any category. But, like LW wants a certain thing and T/I wants Mom/Son or Dad/Daughter, IR wants white woman, black man.

One of the underlying story lines in my SciFi WIP novel is the main characters overcoming racism that has been transplanted from a failing earth to a new planet. In this particular case, it's French vs North African. But it's not fetishized, it's just part of the world that they have to deal with.

In my only finished novel, cultural and ethnic clashing is one of the underlying issues, this time focused around a Mexican-American FMC. Again, it's not fetishized at all, just a plot point. (MMC was in love with her for a few chapters before he even realized she was hispanic, let alone Mexican heritage. I didn't realize she was Mexican-American much before he did.)

My other two WIP novels ignore racism; it's just coincidence that it became an issue in two of them.

My advice?

Write a story about two people of different ethnicity/ skin color coming together despite the obstacles of their different respective cultures / upbringing.

Save all that nonsense about white women cucking their husband with a "big black bull" for The Klan Incel Digest. 🙄
Lol :D

I did a couple of scenes with black female physical trainers and younger white guys who were being sent to them by their partner to help them shape up. I emphasized their muscular physiques that you would expect any professional trainer to have and added in their extreme dark complexion. Think Grace Jones getting it on with a thin pasty white twenty something.

Don’t forget that the antebellum south thing also works with African colonialism or twentieth century Jim Crow stuff. Of course any of these things is uncomfortably politically incorrect, and that creates more hurdles. Best avoided imo.

One I scrabbled out that was never submitted ....

White female family members were penetrated by a large black male in front of the white males of the family. Mom was then escorted out of the house naked by the man. She was dropped off at home a day or two later.

I like the idea of the women of the family getting so cum drunk off black dick, they stage a coup to ursurp the master of the house, when they realize the men are more than a good fuck.Or something like that.

I am very nearly done with my first series here on Literotica and am pretty happy with how it turned out. Since my work here is entirely focused on experimentation, I am thinking on what I should try on next. I was considering a father-daughter story but I not one hundred per cent sure.

I was considering trying something a little different and outside my comfort zone, something interracial. I would like it to take place in the US but I am not American (let alone African-American), so I was hoping my fellow authors could recommend me a few examples of interracial smut done right, maybe tell me what the pitfalls are, what I should pay attention to and what I should avoid. Keep in mind, emotional depth and hotness are my sole true priorities.

Can you help? Thank you up front :)
The U.S. is a very diverse country so interracial does not only mean white/black. There are a multitude of different combinations that could be written about.

I have an unpublished Interracial romance based on something in my father's past, but it goes a different route than it did in reality. I'm not sure which category I'll put it in when and if I publish it here, because it is set in the 1970s, and it certainly wasn't the norm for the time. But it is a white man and a black woman, so the BBC trope isn't in the story. In fact, I doubt it has any standard IR tropes other than the difficulty of such a relationship in such a time.

EDIT: (my adoptive father's past)

EDIT: took out the redundancy in the last sentence.
I think this would be a fascinating story to read. Growing up white and middle class in the 70’s I have very distant perspective on what this would be like.

Yes, but I didn’t watch The Jefferson’s very often. I was also a bit young to catch what was really going on in those storylines.

Fun fact, the actress who played Helen is Lenny Kravitz's mom. When she was auditioning they asked her how she'd feel about having a white husband in the show.
She pulled out a picture of herself with her real life white husband.

The venerable Tink4Fairy had this to say in 'How To Break The Literotica Toplist':

Interracial Love
The politically correct tyranny of our society today often keeps this category from going as far as it could. Still, the most popular stories in interracial remain black men and white women, with racial language playing a major role. Yes, the black man should be well-endowed, the woman usually fair-skinned and petite. If you want to know how to get into the toplists, you need to give readers what they want. In this category, it's still the stereotype. If you're going to write a less popular interracial pairing, make sure to highlight the differences and the obvious taboo in the pairing of two races and cultures. Remember, that's the titillating part for readers in this category. Housewife Porn Star by karenkay is a good example of what readers are really looking for in this category.

I suspect that this advice is probably superseded by what you've received here, but I think it's always worth checking against this essay.

Yes, that much I know. I am not really doing this for the views (though those are always flattering). I really want to apply to formula to different factors and see what comes out the other end.

Well, yeah, but are they right in terms of what readers are chasing?
I think so, yeah, though I think that's a sanitized way of putting it. I don't think the cultural element enters into it much, really. When it does, the stories seem to me to usually find their way into Romance -- one of the stories high up on the Romance toplist is essentially a story about culture clashes between a white American man and an Armenian woman. The fact that there's a degree of sensitivity and nuance sorta propels it out of IR, because that audience I think is looking for Black men (I hesitate to say thuggish Black men, but it's definitely present) ravishing white women, and to a much much lesser extent white men fetishizing either Latina or east Asian women for stereotypical reasons.

I think the psychology of big black guys ‘ravishing’ (euphemism much?) petite white women is twofold. White guys put themselves in the place of the black guy and safely get their fill of ravishment while blaming the ‘animalistic’ black guys. White guys put themselves in the place of the petite white woman and live out an even more taboo fantasy, one they can’t admit to themselves.

I always thought the appeal of that kind of story was from having a relatively frail-looking, supposedly innocent woman tasting and adoring the forbidden, exotic, and oversized fruit from the tree of sinful love. Either way, not my cup of tea.

So why would that appeal to the main IR audience of white guys?
