Central Illinois here. I'm about 20 minutes from Peoria. It's a little town called Chillicothe. Everyone is right. Illinois threads tend to die off in this place. I DO hope you can keep tthis one going, we need it....

perhaps the reason IL threads tend to die is because people in Chicago & it's surrounding suburbs tend to forget that they are not the entire state of Illinois...

there are many of us who visit Chicago, but have no intention of ever living there... & prefer it that way. mutual respect between the city & the rest of the state might keep this thread going. lol

I have the utmost respect for everyone living in the fine state of Illinois. I simply do not know where any of these places are...I don't go south very much!

I guess that I should chime in here too. I'm an hour west of the Chicago burbs in the city of Rockford. I don't think there's very many Lit members from the Rockford area. I do get to the Quad cities and to the Peoria area quite a bit on business if any ladies from those regions would like to talk.

Nope. They're crazy about Cheap Trick around here, but I've never seen them around. I believe that, even though they are from here, they now live in California or somewhere. I've met and spent some time with Meatloaf back in the late 90s. Does that count for anything?
