Is there something you include too much in your stories, but can’t bear to leave out?

Under-negotiated kink. In real life, I'm a staunch believer in communication and explicit consent -- not just for ethical reasons, but I think it guarantees the best time for all involved.

In fiction, though, I love to write and read characters pushed past their limits and inhibitions to discover sexual nirvana they were too nervous/ashamed/whatever to pursue willingly. It's usually BDSM-y, lol.

Haven't written enough to say I do it all the time, but it's the central theme for two series now and upcoming ideas, so...
