It doesn't seem like anyone else is. If you are, you sure as hell aren't talking to me.

Its all your fault that I've gotten almost addicted to reading the literotica personals. It an amusing voyeuristic guilty pleasure. :D

Its all.. your.. fault. lol :p

Hey girl... i´m awake because it´s 9am here... you feeling ok?

lol... yeah, I'm just fine. I could get a lot weirder than that. I guess you just don't know me. :)

What do you do with your change?

I have so much change my purse is bursting. So, finally I decide to use some while buying some things at the corner store. The lady was so nice, she told me count out another dollar of it, 40 pennies, and other change. She said, I can see you're burdened with it.

I'm going to have to go there late again, when there is time to do that.

You know something so small like that, yet its so rare for anyone to consider anyone else, ever. Its always about their own agenda.

Hi there...I'm awake tonight/this morning...and I'm talking to you now! :)

I know what you mean about the lit boards here...I've only discovered them in the last few days, and I'm totally hooked. The pic threads, the occasional dirty chats...good times! :)

So anyway...talk away...I'll be here for a couple hours still I imagine...so you'll have at least one person to listen to you. :)

How sweet of you. :)

I think you may not know what you're in for though. Late at night, tired, and yet not able to sleep. There will be weird conversation, read the post above about change, and the other one on my "Have you ever gotten here and... " thread.

I think I might have just freaked out a guy in pm, talking about how earth is the closest thing to hell there is.

I get into poetic musing easier in this state of mind... so tired. So, the talk may be to intimate, and I don't mean sex. :)

I'm trying to figure out how the desert is a tundra, isn't that ice? You know, frozen tundra.

I have the same problem. This is the fourth day I haven't been able to sleep.
I figure by now I'd be exhausted since I haven't gotten more than 3-4 hours a night.
I can just see myself getting worn down and sick because of this. Damnit!

I just want to sleep!

And of course I can't do anything productive while I'm awake because my brain appears to only be working at 45%.

That's the best part of being awake late at night...all the normal bullshit conversation of the daytime is gone, and revealing personal shit is all that's left. I want to hear more of your poetic waxing! :)

Tundra/desert is the title of a Modest Mouse song (my favorite band), Seems to be a fitting description for where I live, too...Utah.

Mmm hmm... you just don't function well with no sleep. I took sleeping pills for 3 nights and still didn't sleep. I didn't take them tonight, they don't work. Going to have to ask my doctor to up the dosage, and I just started them, not strong enough.

LOL Lit is like crack, without the benefits... Just know that what you're missing out on during the day when you can't focus isn't nearly as cool as what you read here in the middle of the night. :)

by the way, whichever one you are in the pic on your profile, you are ridiculously cute! :) What are you studying in grad school?

I took sleeping pills for several months, and honestly could never tell a difference. Got some good advice recently, though... if you're laying in bed and can't get to sleep, try to stay awake. Sounds contrary, but it works! :)

I don't like trivial conversations, so they're always more involved and less b.s, less weather talk. Its just for first conversations, it might be to deep, to heavy of subjects for some people. Glad you like it. :)

I had a close friend that passed away last August. He and I would talk until the sun came up. The longer you talk, the more intimate it gets. Also, its like you're the only two people on earth. Or, that the world was made just for you.

In soft light, and silence, it was just him and I. We talked about everything. We laughed so hard, for so long.

By the way, today, I wrote the second half of a song, and it was about a guy named David. :)

Yeah, talking at night is definitely more intimate. The only thing even moreso is talking at night during a long roadtrip. Impossible not to reveal your true self that way.

How did you write just the second half of a song? :)

lol... I had that experience. Only it was for real, I was trying to stay awake. I couldn't psych myself out to believe it unless I really had to.

I call it going around the clock. Its a documented and successful way to change your sleep pattern. You stay awake an hour later every night, until you go around the clock and are sleeping at the right time again. Takes about 15 days. After a few months, the insomnia comes back again, at least for me.

Let me tell you, you get really tired, and have to stay awake. Thats when I really wanted to pass out.

Its 1:06am here, how late is it where you are?

Oh, and feel free to hijack any conversation I'm having if you want to respond to what Im saying. :)

What has you up?

Wow, I didn't know about any of that...I just found that when I can't sleep it's because my mind is racing, thinking about whatever. Trying to sleep takes focus, and focusing on anything after a long day puts me right to sleep. Going on 25 hour days sounds like it probably work, too. :)

The first part was already written. :)

I have whole ones and partial ones scribbled everywhere in a book.

I need to go on a road trip. The closest I've came to it was with family. It was the coolest 2 week trip. A destination but no other plans in between, we didn't know what was on the road, and stayed as long as we wanted in places. It was like an adventure all the way there. The first time I really enjoyed the journey. The destination was no big huge deal, just a place we wanted to get to. The conversation sucked though, it was family.

So, you could just focus on something and fall asleep? Have you tried staying up for 2 days. I did that a few times, and longer, when I was a bit younger. It was from nightmares, I didn't want to fall asleep. When the nightmares calmed right down, and finally pretty much stopped. I've always had a problem with insomnia now, when extremely stressed for long periods of time, it comes back.

Lol, okay, that makes sense. :) How does the song go?

Road trips are cool...find a friend and go...even for a weekend or just a night somewhere. After about 2-3 hours in a car together, you run out of everything trivial you can possibly talk about, and then you can really get to know each other. The more people you have, the less that's the case. 2 people is perfect, 3 is okay, 4 or more and it's too easy to just b.s. the whole time.

Yeah, I guess focusing on whatever could probably work...but for some reason, focusing specifically on trying to stay awake has been really effective.

I've stayed up all through the night several times...either for school reasons, partying reasons, or whatever. I don't really like it though...it takes a few days to get back on a decent schedule.

I can unfortunately relate to nightmares, too... it's been a problem for me off and on forever. Sometimes it gets so bad, I'm actually afraid to go to sleep. :(

Its the same way on the phone. :) Long conversation does it. Sometimes I fantasize going on a crime spree road trip. I'd make a horrible criminal though. I'd end up talking to people about their lives. lol Instead of robbing them.

Its just the total freedom of it. Get up when you want, go where you want, no responsibiltiy, no concerns about money, and lots of time for sex. The romance of it... you and me against the world. So intimate.
