Well SFB, no one in the veterans community pays a bit of attention to 'Military Month.' Haven't seen any major retailers build ad campaigns or sales around it.
But it still comes down the the same basic fact, it is meant to honor people that are DOING something. They are not being honored for their gender, race, creed, or sexual preferences, those are merely attributes, not accomplishments. And that is precisely the point.
