It's pride month

Well SFB, no one in the veterans community pays a bit of attention to 'Military Month.' Haven't seen any major retailers build ad campaigns or sales around it.
So your estimation for how society values its veterans comes down to the extent of commercial exploitation?? And I thought it was the left who was supposed to hate the military.

How does Pride month hurt me? Not at all. The same with Black history month. Or any other day or month celebrating any group.

Shut the fuck up and let it go.
And yet....you couldn't let it go. Nor could you shut the fuck up. If it truly didn't bother you....a normal person simply says it doesn't. They don't have to justify their response. But that isn't what you did. So...are you bothered...or not normal?

Now that's funny shit! You asking me if I'm normal.

We know what it means. It means Phil can celebrate his confused condition for a month.

Let me say that I’m personally confused that in this political climate there exists Independents. Until there is a legitimate third-party system, there’s only one side to take and it’s not on the side of democracy hating Republicans. TH has stated from the start that he is an independent voter and as such, I want to convince him over to my side. Even if no one can recall that he has said that he has a sister he cares for in the community, I would hope that we save our attacks on him on the subjects we don’t agree on.

In the spirit of pride month, TH, I’m giving you a big welcoming hug and a sloppy gay, wet kiss on your forehead.

I was a solid democrat for years, then I decided that I wanted more options. Heck I even marched on the state capitol in Wisconsin with fellow Union Members to protest governor Scott Walker's act 10 anti-union, anti-labor bill. I have voted dem, rep and for third party candidates. The only reason a third party candidate for president has never been viable is because too many people buy into the "if you don't vote dem or rep you are throwing your vote away." Well what happens if for a change 80 million people voted independent because they were sick of the big 2's BS? Instant viability. Will it happen? Unlikely because cattle and sheep need to be herded.

Honestly I was stunned by being attacked for my post here. I'm not sure what I could have possibly said to show that Pride month is okay by me. The fact that I am not personally affected by it, other than having a lesbian sister and a few lesbian and gay friends, doesn't mean I have to rail against it and demand it be ended.

I accept your welcoming hug and sloppy gay, wet kiss on my forehead in the spirit in which it was sent.

nice one, Iceland. good to see this kind of action from any country; with Iceland, it's a further step on in their reign as one of the most LGBTQ friendly countries
The Icelandic parliament has unanimously passed a comprehensive conversion therapy ban, prohibiting the practice on the basis of sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression.

On Friday, lawmakers approved the legislation with 53 yes votes and three abstentions. Now anyone who forces a child to undergo conversion therapy can go to prison for up to five years, and anyone who tries to force an adult to go faces up to three years. In addition, those who actually administer conversion therapy could go to prison for up to two years.

“Fairy tales are not dangerous for children and drag queens aren’t either, but populism and intolerance, those are dangerous.”
The group didn’t manage “intimidation” well. After being challenged to a pushup contest by one attendee, the bigot quickly lost the competition and surrendered.

While most wore masks to conceal their identities, one group member has been identified. Daniel Rowe, the founder of the neo-nazi group Evergreen Active Club has been convicted of stabbing an interracial couple in 2016.

When a woman came up and started twerking behind him after he shouted slurs for a while, Rowe abandoned his post and walked away.

Giving up, the group of men tried to go to several restaurants and bars in the area. They were denied service at each establishment. Completely beaten, they retreated to their cars.
