It's time for single-payer

In other words, you have no solution.

Solution to your problem?

There is none. You can not get into government by promising to majorly raising taxes, to pay for the mistakes of almost every other government for generations, and then raising a huge welfare bill that makes it worse.

I'm Australian, I live in Australia, we have what you dream of.

Your solution is an armed takeover, but since you're a Bernie lover, the guns are on the other side, and they wont let you take their guns (or money) so, screwed.

But dont worry, there are many countries in the same boat.

I just gave you the answer, Use the model that served us greatly for generations. The only reason our medical system became degraded can be correlated to the amount of government intervention and regulation imposed on it.

If you want to see what your 'single payer" system will look like just look at the VA system that's killing our veterans right now. Totally government run and managed, which is exactly what will happen in your proposed system if the government is paying 100% the bills.

You obviously don't understand single-payer.

And if you think the pre-ACA model was better than we have now, you are truly fucking delusional.

What do you think is going to happen to the American healthcare system?

it's the only real answer that's going to come out of this thread. suck it up and accept it. it's better than wallowing in the rest of this bullshit.

I truly hope you're not a part of any political organization that's trying to advance the progressive agenda.

I'm sorry, are you saying you have one?

The government spends not enough money, the system does the best they can. Thats it.

Private health insurance/workplace healthe insurance is terrible, overpriced, and underquality... its why out here they put in a tax benefit for having one.

I lived there for 5 years, had no healthcare, the prices were insane.

The healthcare system will exist as long as the governmental system does. As I said, underfunded and failing. America could balance their budget with not paying for war, which would straight away provide an insurrection and a toppling of the government by the ex army that now have no income.

Consider Greece. And seriously look into their money troubles. The only thing going for the US is governments keep extending their lines of credit.

I don't need guidance, I know that system inside and out. The VA system fails at addressing the health care needs of only a small percentage of the American population. Only 7.3% of the American population are living veterans and only a little over a third actually access VA healthcare about 6 million. Can you imagine a government system in place managing the health care of 336 million Americans? Nobody in the world has a quality, functioning, efficient, and sustainable, heath care system anywhere near the scope or scale of what you propose.

Its true. Its sad, but true.

The healthcare systems that seriously work, look at the tax rate.

You didn't answer my question.

What do you think is going to happen to the American healthcare system?

Profit driven healthcare has shown for generations that it does not work.

Continuing on that path is folly at best, and more likely simply outright stupidity.

Single payer is a solution, but only if profit-driven motives are taken out of the healthcare system, and the focus is put on preventative healthcare.

That is correct.

It is a problem that does not have a government solution (problems such as that do exist).

Robbing Peter to pay Paul is not a solution. Jealousy and envy are not solutions.

The American people have finally realized it was a mistake electing Donald Trump. Bernie was the answer in 2016 & could still be the answer in 2020.

If not Bernie, then Liz.

It's going to happen, RG. You and your alt-right friends need to accept that fact.

OMG, I could not disagree more.

America is bankrupt? Do tell...

USA CAD

http://www.cnbc.com/2017/06/20/us-current-account-deficit-expands-to-116-point-8-billion.html

And yes, you're totally right, you're only bankrupt when people call in their debts, and you cant pay them.

I'd totally forgotten about the republicans not letting Obama to go past the absolute debt ceiling until he left it until a week that that the US could no longer meet their repayments, then the republicans caved.

Definition of bankrupt may vary, just ask California.

And yet, here you are, jealous and envious of "handouts" that you think other people are getting.

OMG, I could not disagree more.

Trumpcare will never make it to Trump's desk. Tax reform will never make it to Trump's desk.

Ryan and McConnell have absolutely no interest in governing.

The Dems take back the Senate in 2018 & take back the White House in 2020.

The only wild card is the House.

And they will further produce policy just as failed as the Obamacare nightmare they perpetrated on America when they were last in office. We might not survive another Democrat governance in America. I see only collapse and civil war on the horizon of any such eventuality.

The U.S. had the world's best and most efficacious healthcare in the world. Why do you suppose the overwhelming majority of foreign nationals with serious disease seek treatment in the U.S.?

The politicians and demagogues may yet succeed in destroying it. God knows, they've certainly tried to do everything necessary to do just that.

We need a healthcare plan that benefits ALL Americans.

It would be nice, but it's not very American and our pol's are such absolute dirt bags they will NEVER do anything to benefit all. This country will totally fucking collapse before anything of the sort happens.

It's time to adopt Bernie's single-payer healthcare plan.

I prefer the non-tyrannical asshole communist option....a public option, a shit hole for the poor to go get public HC.

Profit driven healthcare has shown for generations that it does not work.

At providing for the indigent.....otherwise it's the fuckin' bomb shiznit.

Continuing on that path is folly at best, and more likely simply outright stupidity.

Economically I agree, we either need to offer a public option or get the fuck out of the market and let it get back to doing what it does best.

Single payer is a solution, but only if profit-driven motives are taken out of the healthcare system, and the focus is put on preventative healthcare.

Gotta take away the good stuff to make the government garbage appealing.....LOL

You get a gold star today!
You finally made a remark that makes sense! :D
Now, how best to enact a public option when ALL of the Democrats are in favor of it and virtually NONE of the Republicans are in favor of this?
Teh Devil's in teh details.

Maybe we should ask little Que, he knows stuff.

Looks to me like President Trump is steering the US towards Communism more than Bernie ever could. His recent tweets suggest that he would welcome the collapse of the US economy, and capitalism in general.
