Sunbunny, being tall has many advantages. Many. And some disadvantages. The guys who looked over me because I was taller than them ... The contradiction in this, but is was what they did.

I know.. right. I met this guy online back home and we were really hitting it off chatting, then I get this message asking if I was really that tall.. on my response of yes, he told me that we had a problem because he was 4 inches shorter. Wasn't a problem for me but he was at least honest to admit it.. We decided that we would just be friends and I cherish his friendship after all these years. I am often the tall one in my relationships.

I know.. right. back in the 70's I got a pair of wooden soled platform sandals.. husband forbid me to wear them.. lol. I was 1/2 an inch taller without but with his afro he appeared taller.. of course I wore the mess out of those shoes..

Classes are done for the week. Time to relax a bit. Thinking about a trip to the beach, but I may just be lazy and stay right here by the pool for the next couple of days.

Sounds like a good plan to me!

Taking a look at everything I've already done and what I still need to do, I can now say that I've taken a very large bite of this apple. Whew!! I know it's just a matter of properly managing my time and expectations, but now that the week is over, I remember what it feels like to do 16 hours a semester.

Sunbunny you have lost 75 lbs how awesome! Are you still losing. I have lost 55. At have been lazy I really need to lose at least another 50 - some of the girls at work are going to do a challenge to lose weight.

How is everyone going to be spending the weekend? I think I am going to have a few girls over. But just to hang out not doing anything special.

John good job on your first week of school. Oh and if you decide to go to the beach - I want to go also. I have only been to the beach once this summer.

You will finish this apple easily, John, you just have to chew. Like you said, it is just a matter of managing your time and expectations properly. I may be a bit awkward at first, but soon enough you will have a routine.

My weekend ... *grins* I am going to be lazy! Nothing special is planned, big chores are all done (yesterday I cleaned three cupboards) I am finally catching up with the stuff that got ignored during summer.

It is work.. I seem to have leveled out, which my doctor is not to concerned with.. she says body has set points it likes and I am in one.. but I haven't gained any back Working now on getting back on track and downward.

My sister would win this. 5,11 (1,82) and a cousin on my fathers site would be just 6 feet at 1,83 Her brothers are both over seven feet. When I am in the company of these four I feel real tiny!

We have tall genes in my dad's side of the family.. he was 6'6 and my cousin Barbara topped out at 6'1. I was 5'11 back in those days but age has settled me down some in the spine and knees.. grrrr. I always enjoyed the advantages of my height! And my Goddess is just as tall as I was..

Hardest part of working 10 hours shifts on weekends is staying awake.. will be slow this weekend.

Doesn't age settle us all down a bit? *sigh* After really good nights and some days with not much standing I still have my old height. For about three minutes.

Only one of my two has my length. My old length *grins* The other one stopped at 1,67 (5,6). Her father's genes at work.

At least now I am able to buy trousers that are the right length. And shoes! I am so happy most factories started to make shoes in my size. When I was younger it was so difficult to find nice and fitting shoes. Winter shoes and sandals came out of the boy's department when I was twelve. When I was thirteen too. And the winter shoes when I was fourteen. Then my mom allowed me to buy lady's summer shoes with a slight heel! You can't imagine how happy I was!

Blouses are still a problem though. Sleeves are almost always too short on long sleeved blouses. Sometimes I wish my arms would also shrink a bit.

Wintercoats are okay as long as I buy sports- or outdoor-wear.

There's always plenty of water in the pool sunbunny and it's already been vacuumed so we're good for the weekend. If I'm not in there, I'll be over on the side reading and making sure I don't fall behind in my studies. This all seems so funny.

As for the 5'9" thing Dutchess, I'm just thinking that for my weight I should probably be about 6'9"!!

Gaining height will be difficult at your age, I am afraid. *grins* Losing some weight isn't. Your bike rides and the classes will take care of that.
