Joker 2.0

Allison followed Jeremy on their journey....journey of fun from the magic show to the traveling 'freaks'. She was slightly traumatized by watching a woman lift weights with her tits. Well, traumatized and amazed. They'd gone from booth to booth looking at the exhibits and games.

She'd even won him a stuffed Robin because what was wrong with a bit of role reversal. While Allison loved being doted on she didn't mind doing the same with the guy she was on a date with...even though this wasn't a date. She frowned to herself wondering if she was allowing herself to blur the lines.

Finally, after all day of walking around Jeremy led her to the tent with clowns teasing her about her family's 'fear of clowns.' "I never said I was scared of clowns." After all, if she could take on the Joker who literally killed people with laughter; a normal circus clown was nothing.

Though he wouldn't know that fact about her. They both moved into the clown tent and took their seats as the show started.

As the clowns came out, Jeremy found himself chuckling at their antics, but probably for different reasons than most people around him. He was not overly amused by their childish antics, although they had put some original spins on some of the classics.

Still it was all buffoonery with no pizzazz. These people lacked that certain showmanship and big top polish that he brought to his performances. Where was their interaction with their Audience? It was like they were going through the motions. They didn't feed on the energy of the crowd and so while the performance was good it was not great.

Jeremy could spot ten ways to make the show better, but he made sure to chuckle along at their antics. He did not want to ruin the mood he had built up with Allison.

Once the show had finished he noticed the time and smiling he placed his arm around her waist as they exited the tent.

"Well it has gotten later than I thought. Perhaps you would care to have dinner with me, my treat and then I would like to treat you to one more surprise. I have heard they do a rather good seafood platter for two at the restaurant here," he hinted.

Allison was bored. These clowns weren't really all that funny. They were...cute. Something a child would find funny, so if in this scenario as a kid, she would've found it funny. There were some jokes that she laughed at and some jokes she faked a laugh at. She supposed that it was true no other clown could come close to the Joker. However, it would've seemed rude to be all high and mighty, no fun Allison when it seemed like Jeremy was putting in effort to make her smile.
'
Which was something to make her smile as well.

Once the show was over, she felt his arm go around her waist and shivered slightly. More goosebumps. He mentioned taking her to dinner and then a surprise. Her eyes lit up though she wasn't quite sure what surprise he'd have for her.

"A surprise? We barely know each other...but dinner sounds nice."

Jeremy was glad she had taken him up on his offer and he guided her through the crowd that had gotten a little thicker as the end of the working day had come.

The restaurant was situated at the end of the pier and was in a quieter section. They were able to get a table immediately as it was still early and he was able to tip the waiter and get a nice quiet one in a secluded spot.

Ordering the platter for two and a Dr Pepper for her and a Lemon squash for himself he smiled at her. "Perhaps we can have a harder drink when our dinner comes, after all we are off the clock now."

Reaching across the table he held her hand and again gently stroked it. "I am having a wonderful time Allison. I am glad you agreed to come out with me today. This is exactly what I needed."

They took a seat and Jeremy ordered for them having already figured her drink of choice and smiled at his suggestion of having something harder after dinner. "True, though to be fair we've been off the clock ever since we left the last restaurant."

As his hand reached for his and stroked it, electrifying tingles rushed through her.

"I'm glad I did too, and surprisingly enough, I think I needed this too, even if I didn't know it."

The waitress came back with their drinks and told them that their food would be out shortly. She took a sip of her Dr. Pepper then smiled coyly, "So, what else do you have planned I wonder. I mean, you've done so much already. I think the Wayne family curse of clowns is gone, now. Thanks to you." Her eyes glimmered playfully as she stared at him.

Jeremy gave her a cheeky smile and continued to stroke her hand. "Oh I only have one more thing planned and after that I am entirely in your hands."

He was sort of conflicted about what he actually wanted to happen. In one instance he would love to take her home and ravish her body all night. On the other hand the thrill of the chase was exciting and taking her to bed straight away was not something he wanted to do. He wanted to make her chase him.

He also had plans for her as Batgirl. With him corrupting her as Joker, she would need someone to comfort her as Allison and Jeremy intended to be that someone.

They made small talk until the platter arrived and his eyes bulged a little at the sight of it. A whole lobster, oysters, prawns, scallops, fish, mussels, chips and salad.

"Well when they say a platter they mean it don't they," he smiled. "Let's take our time with this." Signalling the waitress back over he ordered a bottle of sweet Riesling. " I hope you don't mind my dear, but I find a bit of sweetness goes well with fish, although with you here there is possibly enough sweetness already," he smiled.

In her hands? For some reason, when he said that something slightly sparked in her. Naughty thoughts filled her mind of what exactly she could do with him in his hands. She cleared her throat and pulled her hand away, shaking those thoughts from her head which thankfully was just in time as the waitress came back with their food. Hopefully it didn't look suspicious like she was pulling away from him.

Allisons eyes widened as they stared at the gigantic platter. "Jesus, this is enough food for a family of four." Jeremy ordered some wine and then mentioned how she was sweet enough that they didn't actually need the wine. "Nonsense. You can never go wrong with wine." She smiled at him before reaching for a piece of fish.

The waitress came back with their wined and poured them each a glass before walking away. Allison dipped her fish in some of the tartar sauce. She reached for the wine and took a slow sip. "It's delicious wine." She said while trying to think of something to say. "So Jeremy, tell me something about yourself. I've told you about my family's fear of clowns surely you can help me delve into what makes Jeremy Parks, Jeremy Parks. After all, we've spent almost the whole day together."

Jeremy reached for a prawn and delicately began to peel it as he thought of how to answer her. Well the simplest lies were often the best, tell her the truth except the juicy bits he thought.

"Not much to tell really. Well there is obviously," he smiled, "But interesting it isn't. My family was basically your hardworking kind of middle class, run of the mill family that you get anywhere, until an Uncle of mine invented something that people wanted. Suddenly the family is so rich they don't know what to do with all the money. Luckily the family wasn't too big. Just 3 brothers and 1 sister. All of them got a bit with my Uncle getting the most as he invented the darn thing." He looked at her and smiled. "Do you know what? For the life of me I don't know what it was he invented. My pop's always clammed up about that. Anyway by the time my dad got his inheritance he had watched his dad and most of the others squander theirs, so he invests wisely and makes sure I go to college, and to learn," he laughs.

He pop's the prawn in his mouth and sighs at the taste before eating it and starting to peel another. "I didn't appreciate that as a kid of course but I do now. I know enough to see things that are good, and to know when I am not good enough to get them done properly. Oh I have the money to get a few little projects done, but the big ones, that's where you and others like you come in Allison."

He smiled and then blushed. "Oh sorry almost got back onto work then didn't I. Well apart from that I, like my father, invested wisely. I now travel the world seeking out projects to help it, while at the same time having fun. It's a fun life," he smiled then the smile slipped a little, "Although it can get a little lonely."

Eating up the prawn he started on the rest of the platter and looked at her. "And what of you Allison. How has your life been up to now. Besides the secret fear of Clowns," he staged whispered and then chuckled.

It was interesting how two like souls could find each other. The only difference was that her family had always been rich. Allison looked at Jeremy with a look of admiration. "Me? Oh, well I guess you could say I was born with a silver platter or however that saying goes. My grandfather was Bruce Wayne my great grandfather, Thomas Wayne. Daughter of one of the founding families of Gotham." She shrugged her shoulders, "which is fine but it's hard to know if someone is interested in me because of me or because of my name."

She forced a small smile and then cleared her throat, "Sorry that was depressing. I'm pretty normal if you take away the fact that I'm in my mid twenties and already own a corporation. I loooove horses and I like to think I have a good sense of humor, not to brag or anything."

She chose some of the scallops and popped it in her mouth after dipping it in the cocktail sauce and then took a sip of her drink. She wasn't much of a prawn girl because they looked like creepy ocean bugs. "I think my life up to now...with the exception of a few surprises has been pretty good. And just to make one thing clear, clowns don't scare me, only my dad."

Oh he was sure clowns scared her whole family in some way, and he was going to make sure that she became scared of them again. Or perhaps not. Wouldn't it be more fun to do something completely different with her? After all she had already been infected by his gas, so it was not going to be all that hard to corrupt her. A small smile spread across his face before he could stop it and he had to think fast for a reason it would appear.

"Oh so you are the brave one in the family then? Well I might just have to test that later," he chuckled as he continued to eat.

For the next half an hour they chatted comfortably, finishing off the platter and the bottle of wine. He found her easy to talk too and a lively conversationalist. She had a wicked sense of humor and was not afraid to speak her mind. Even if he was not going to go after her because she was the Bat, he might have wanted to get to know her better.

After they had finished he stood up, leaving a generous tip, and escorted her out. He linked his arm with hers and strolled casually through the increased crowds. He noticed her shivering again and shrugged out of his jacket and wrapped it around her before taking her arm again and leading her to their destination.

They joined the small line for the Ferris Wheel and soon they were getting into a cabin all of their own. Jeremy clumsily bumped into the worker controlling the ride and then stood back up apologizing, before getting in. Then they were off.

The wheel was rather large and they had gone around once with a few stops to allow several more people to get on, then they went around two times taking in the sights before it stopped with them right at the top. He waited for a little but they did not move and then he looked down. People seemed to be scurrying around and he looked at Allison.

"Uhh it looks like we might be here for awhile. There appears to be something wrong with the ride."

Allison enjoyed the conversation they had during dinner and was honestly having a fun time with Jeremy. Her body still tingled around him and certain phrases made her body feel like her whole body was being electrocuted. She blamed it on the intense attraction she had with him. It wasn't as if he was an ugly man, so it was probable.

They reached the Ferris wheel and got on. Though on their way to get into the seats Jeremy had bumped into someone but had assured her he was okay. Everything was going well and the sights of the fair and circus were absolutely breathtaking.

It seemed like nothing could go wrong until it did. The Ferris Wheel brought them back to the top and jerked, the seats swinging for a few minutes. Allison clung tightly to Jeremy's bicep cursing herself for thinking nothing could go wrong. That was the worst phrase anyone could say before something went wrong.

"They'll figure it out, I hope." She had a slight fear of heights which was ironic since she was Batgirl. She supposed it was because as Batgirl, she had a bit more control but when you were in the air and had no clue how to extricate yourself from a situation, total different story.

Jeremy was surprised by how tight she held on to him. He had assumed she would have no problem with the height as she was used to swinging and running on the rooftops, yet she seemed genuinely fearful. He would file that away for future reference.

As for himself he had no fear of heights. He had been climbing and doing silly things far too long to be scared of such trivial things. He wrapped his arm around hers and pulled her in closer. This was going to work out better than he had planned.

"Oh I am sure they will, but for now let's just take in the sights. Just pretend we are sitting in a car on a cliff looking out over the city and watching all the lights twinkle below us," he began in a sort of sing song voice. It was a trick hypnotists used to put people at ease. It slowed a persons heart rate and dulled their senses a little. In this case he was hoping to take Allison's mind of the fact she was so high in the air and back onto him so his drug could start to work it's magic.

Allison listened to his sing song voice and it somewhat lulled her. Her senses seemed to dull as voices faded away, all but Jeremy's. She closed her eyes for a minute and she was actually picture what he was saying to her. "A car..."She murmured as looked out at the sights. Lights everywhere, gorgeous city lights.

"It's so pretty, I don't think I've ever seen anything like it." Her body was tingling again.

She felt herself become bold and a bit uninhibited. "Ya know, I don't think I've ever had a make out session at the edge of cliff before. I've never done anything like this before either."

She wasn't even sure where her rambling was going or even where she was going with this. It could have been her subconscious telling her something was off but she really did feel like she was in a car. After all, their seats were close together like a car.

"It's weird, Jeremy. You make me feel...free. How do you do that?"

Jeremy chuckled. "It's just the differences in us. You have all the pressures on you. Having to run a company, living up to your name, Acting the way people expect you too. Me, I am free to do whatever I want. I have no pressures. That is what you are sensing."

He drew her to him, cuddling her close and placing her head against his chest. He wouldn't have much longer. The $100 he had slipped the operator had only bought him ten minutes so he had to make the most of it.

" I am not saying that what you are doing is a bad thing, oh far from it. You run a great company, are brilliant and handle yourself with style. It is just every now and again you just have to get away from it all and leave everyone else's expectation's behind and just be yourself."

Tilting her head up he looked into her eyes and smiled gently. "Allison Wayne I would very much like to kiss you. Would you object if I did?"

Jeremy's words were like a breath of fresh air. God, it was like he knew what she had to go through, the ins and outs and they'd only known each other...well not that long really. Allison bit her lip as he pulled her to his chest.

She could hear the slow steady beating of his heart as he then tilted her head to look up at him. Allison slowly found herself losing all train of thought and nodded slowly as in answer to his question about kissing her.

She waited until his lips lowered on hers and responded immediately. She hadn't really been expecting to kiss him and was kind of surprised with herself for allowing it to happen. Her hand found his chest and lightly grazed it, for once allowing someone else to be in control, to let a complete stranger be in control.

Jeremy had to control himself. He had to remember to be the sweet caring boyfriend type. Still the longer the kissing went on the easier it became. Allison was so very vulnerable and sweet that he found himself drawn to her. He kissed her with a sweetness he had not known he had and wrapped her in his arms, caressing her back and sides, yet not trying to take it any further or dominate her.

This was nothing like his usual self. Either something was happening or he was being effected by his own gas.

Suddenly the cabin gave a lurch and started to move and they broke apart. He looked into her eyes and smiled. "Well, now I see the real Allison Wayne and she is a fiery one," he chuckled. "Perhaps I could get to know her better one day?"

Allison herself couldn't quite place what was happening to her. She didn't do this. It took her deceased fiancé at least three dates before she let him kiss her and now she was practically throwing herself to a man she barely knew, what the hell was wrong with her? She wasn't that smitten with Jeremy that quickly...was she?

When he pulled away, she had to fight the urge to pull him back and cleared her throat. With Jeremy, Allison felt incredibly vulnerable almost...weak and she hated being weak. She gave him a small smile as the ride began to move again.

"We'll see..." her eyes gleamed playfully as their cabin finally found the ground. She got out and waited for Jeremy. Once he'd stepped out, she glanced back warily at the ride. She hadn't realized until the ride had found the ground that she was up in the air so high. At least she hadn't while she'd been making out with Jeremy.

"Where to next?"

Stepping forward he moved next to her and again put his arm around her waist pulling her in close. What he really wanted to suggest was a trip back to his house and his bed, but he knew that it was to early to suggest such a thing, and he wanted her to be the one that chased him, not the other way around.

"Perhaps we can go and grab a cup of coffee or do you have to run off on me?"

Allison smiled at his offer and pulled out her phone to check the time. She didn't want to be so exhausted that she wasn't able to go to work in the morning or focus but she kind of didn't want to leave his side which was odd to her.

But...coffee couldn't hurt. Despite the time, because for the first time in the last few weeks she hadn't thought about Batgirl, or Allison Wayne super billionaire. She was actually enjoying being normal for even such a short amount of time.

"Coffee sounds good."

Smiling he guided her out of the funfair and back onto the normal streets. Looking around he moved them down the somewhat busy sidewalk, still with his hand around her waist and then turned down a small sidestreet towards a small diner.

Once inside he headed towards a small corner booth for some privacy and as the waitress came over he ordered two coffees and then smiled at her.

"So miss CEO. Apart from taking strange men up on their offers to take you to carnivals, what do you do for fun?"

She smiled at his question,"Well I love reading. I'm kind of a book whore so to speak. I have like thousands of books, literally. It takes me like an hour just to decide what to read first." She laughed. "What else?"

She tapped her chin trying think of other likes she had."Well I enjoy telling jokes. I don't know I'm not sure I'm all that good at it and it's kind of unlike the Wayne's to be into humor but you like what you like, you know? What about you? Aside from inventing innovative new technology what do you take interest in?"

Oh he would really love to tell her what he was really into, but that would have to wait for another time. For now he had a part to play.

"Well at the moment I am breeding horses, both for fun and profit," he smiled. "I have a little place outside of town and a Ranch down in Texas and one in Wyoming. I am looking to breed a few racehorses to help me raise money," he smiled, "While at the same time make them a hardier breed. Poor people the world over use horses, but they are high maintenance. I am looking to crossbreed with the tough breeds like the Australian Brumby and the native appaloosa."

He looked at her and then took a wild stab. It might just be a way to get her alone. "You wouldn't be interested in horses or riding would you? You know you would be more than welcome to come and visit me."

Leaning forward he whispered with a chuckle, "It is so secluded I doubt the paparazzi even know where it is."

Horses, well color her interested! She could've sworn he'd mentioned that earlier, that he was into horses and stuff. Though, he hadn't mentioned breeding them, just that he owned them. It made him all the more interesting, even if she'd never ridden a horse before. They were still such beautiful creatures.

"You breed them as well? You must have a strong hand. "

Something that made him all the more attractive. She wondered if it showed because she'd never really been very open with others or at least, it took them longer than a few hours but something about him woke...something up inside of her.

"You wouldn't be interested in horses or riding would you? You know you would be more than welcome to come and visit me." he chuckled then leaned forward, "It is so secluded I doubt the paparazzi even know where it is."

A shiver ran down her spine and she nearly lost her breath. "I ah..." god, she couldn't even think for a moment. Finally, she gave a cool smile. "Are you sure you're not just trying get me alone so you can have your way with me?"

And there it was again, like something had taken over her senses. She scooted back and cleared her throat. It couldn't be healthy to be THIS attracted to a man and be ready to drop everything at a moments notice. Could it? "Maybe I can work something out. Just give me a date."

Well looked like the gas was starting to really kick in he smiled. He supposed he could give her a little encouragement, although the kiss had probably done that.

'Why Miss Wayne what ever are you insinuating," he smiled. "If I was trying to get you into my bed I would be gentlemanly about it and ask politely. Of course that's not to say I might not if you come to visit me."

Chuckling he pulled out his phone and pretended to scroll through it. "It looks as if my schedule is pretty hectic next week. How about Sunday? I can send a car for you. It would be easier than having to give you directions. I know you might not know where you will be, so how about texting me Saturday night with the pick up point," he suggested.

Should she? This felt like a big step. Like a huge step, especially considering her fiance what's his face had died not all that long ago. She was supposed to be in mourning. This seemed far from mourning to her! Of course everyone had their own way of mourning. There were some people who cried all day long, covered themselves in black. There were others who traveled to places to get away from the world. And there were those who got their brains fucked into oblivion.

Not that that was going to happen. God, where had that thought even come from? Maybe the insinuation that something could happen should she accept his invitation. It was a possiblity after all and it wasn't like she'd be inclined to turn him away. She'd been ready to rip her clothes off on the ferris wheel had he not had as much control as she was supposed to have.

"I ah....sure." She blinked and pulled out her phone, " I should probably check my schedule too." Maybe she should go to the doctors or something because she was acting really strange. She opened the calender on her phone and stared at it blankly for a few minutes, pursing her lips. She had a luncheon with some of her business partners but...she kinda didn't want to go.

But if she was too eager, she didn't usually play the 'too eager' type of girl. She'd seen her friends do so in highschool and it always resulted in bad news. Then again, he said he was busy for the next week. "I'm free." She lied, she could always get her secretary to reschedule during the week. Sunday should be a relaxation day, right? And what was more relaxing than horses. "I can text you on Saturday with the address."
