Funny you mention that.....We are planning on renting a motorcycle...The plan is to drive up to Front Royal (the beginning of the parkway) and making our way south, taking pics all the way, of course. :cathappy:

I have done that with two wives; this past year I went thru in my convertible and took nary a picture with the camera sitting right beside me. I think it was one of the more enjoyable times I've done it.

I have pics from 4 or 5 different trips. I made a conscious decision to just enjoy.

Mind my asking what type of cancer? I lost my mother due to to it. :(

I had a sarcoma on my knee removed a year ago. And now it is in my lung. It does not react favorably to chemo so they have to take catscans every 90 days to watch for new growths. I may have to go through this rest of my life.

They are going to go in under my arm and spread two ribs, go into the lung remove the cancerous tissue and then repair the lung. If it worse than they think then the may take they lobe.I go in tommorrow and the operation will be Wednesday morning.

You have to let us know when you do that, we can ride down and meet you. We are only about 1 hr from there and we enjoy that ride.

I really enjoyed the pics of Deep Creek lake. I have been out in the middle of the lake with over 20 inches of ice on it, jumping up and down and I felt like I was in a concrete parking lot. If you ever get up there again, you have to check out Swallow Falls. It a series of water falls that you can actually get under and enjoy the water.

thanks jj; appreciate it. Talking about cycles; 30 years ago I laid one down on my leg and it balloned to triple it's size. Picked it up and continues for twenty miles to get it looked at; no serious damage just a scar to go with many others.

I remember MrsJ telling me about it on the phone, but we did not have the time to get to the falls....This time. I'd love to go back to see them but I am afraid it may be a long time til we get back there.

As for the ride, we will let ya'll know. I have never been that far up the parkway...Should be alot of fun...We plan on making a weekend of it. :)
