Yes, how on earth is launching US Government funded and provided artillery into a neighborhood with the intent of killing and displacing people and firing upon Red Cross/Crescent responders and bombing hospitals in response mass murder?

Here's a thought experiment. Let's say a member of the Crips lobbed a pipe bomb into a crowded mall and the City/County of Los Angeles or US Military responded by completely leveling Compton, shelling all nearby hospitals, and shooting reporters who were providing truthful coverage--would that be OK by you?

Let's make this more realistic. If Compton were an independent country and the population had just elected the Crips as their representatives, and those Crips were launching hundreds of rockets at the city of Los Angeles, and hitting churches, hospitals, schools and other random targets, and launching those rockets from hospitals, etc., I believe the city of L. A. would be justified in taking action. And, when you make an ammo dump or a rocket launching site out of a formerly civilian site, you are creating a legitimate military target.

Did this ever actually happen?

Has Israel ever done anything even remotely like you describe without being attacked first?

Um, the Palestinians don't have a state. That's sort of a big thing in the conflict. They are basically displaced refugees ghettoed in the non-arable, shitty land the Israelis don't want. So this part of making the exercise more realistic is deeply flawed.

You're kind of exaggerating what the Palestinian aggressors in the situation do. They have rockets in the sense that my niece has created a missile if she throws a pencil at her teacher. Even the Israeli government admits the vast majority of "rockets" fired at their territories are ineffective and do no damage. They aren't existential threats to a populace with defense systems, nuclear weapons, and military equipment provided by the richest and most militarized nation on earth.

This is Israeli propaganda. Leveled hospitals, UN buildings, and schools have weapons caches in them like black people killed by police have crack on them.
