That rush of anticipation, the way one's heartbeats just a little faster, wondering in the seconds before lips meet what he/she tastes like, how long will it last ....

That yummy tingly feeling in the tummy that heads south in a flash of heat.

And, at last, the moment of contact be is soft or rough, tongue or no, the mixing of breath, mingling of souls, and all the delights to come.

The Kiss

My breasts are small and my eyes round.
Your legs long and cool as the freshet
that runs down from the fountain.
I bite your neck,
it’s sturdy, still not yet ripe,
like a walnut that has just now fallen.
You clamber on top, start kissing my middle,
strew wet wavelets all over my skin,
now up here, now down there,
like the first fat drops to fall before
the storm starts, splat, splat, splat.

We’ve gone to sleep back to chest,
the way lips rejoin
after sighing.

I like unexpected kisses. You know the kinds ~ you're standing in the kitchen, cooking supper or washing dishes and all of a sudden the one you love comes up behind you and does one of two things:

1. Spins you around, pulls you close, drops their mouth to yours for a deep, passionate kiss

2. Gently embraces you from behind, nuzzles your neck, and places a kiss or three in the soft skin there, leaving a trail of goosebumps up and down your skin.

Both typically end in a burnt dinner or cold dishwater but by the time you get back to it, you don't care in the least.
