Those look uncomfortable as heck. Still... public humiliation (for a modest sub) could use those.

And what is wrong with moving "floss" between a different set of lips? http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2003-8/363868/2cool2.gifarctic-stranger said:and i always thought you were just supposed to floss your teeth!

Well, this is a healthy set uf bicuspids, for sure. She must brush regularly and visit her "dentist" at least twice a year.arctic-stranger said:Man, it has been a long time..i dont remember them looking like that!
Might be, but i'm thinking more along the lines of canines. Lends a whole new meaning to "bitch with teeth" doesn't it.DVS said:Well, this is a healthy set uf bicuspids, for sure.
Just checked encarta AS, says they're both right. I suspect one may be the american spelling and the other may be the british spelling, but that may require some looking in to and I just don't care enough to do that.arctic-stranger said:On a totally unrelated note...
This is not a pet grammar peeve, but it is something i do that may cause them. For some reason i insist on spelling "gray" as "grey." I dont know why, and i know it is wrong, but grey just feels better in my book.
Nor do i capitalize i but that comes from other languages. English is about the only language i know that does that....ummm russian does to, i believe.
Cry havoc, and let loose the dogs of grammar.

Negatory good buddy. i prefer the "e" version of black/white myself, but if sounds like a bee, i'll keep using "z" don'tcha know. BTW, your "r" fell off your post. Now that i've purged the trucker speech out of my system, we return you to your regularly scheduled programming.FungiUg said:So I guess it's okay to use grey, provided you spell you words with s rather than z (so that means "capitalise", not "capitalize") and throw in a few extra u's for good measure.![]()
My uncle is a farmer from way back. He says "Although the crops need a good rain to help them grow, you can't go back in 'till the fields' are dry."bridgeburner said:I think I may be the last hold-out on this one as even the dictionary doesn't support my peeve.
I was taught that the word "till" relates to farming as in "till the fields". If one wants to abreviate the word "until" then one uses 'til.
That is apparently not the case any longer as I see perfectly proper folks saying things like "I can't wait till Saturday night." This usage is backed up by the dictionary but it still bothers me and I will likely continue to till the fields 'til my dying day.
