Last movie you watched

I watched Gamer the other day. Decent movie. Thought there'd be more violence. I was absolutely grossed out by the guy that was controling Kable's wife. Literally covered my eyes.

Pandorum - DVD

I actually went to see this in the theatres, and it actually gets a little better the 2nd time around.

The first time through, it is a shock and fast scenes that suffice to scare, but it takes a long time to really get what's going on. It was a good film on first viewing. Going through a second time - it was actually much better. You get the sense of grit in Quaid's performance, the panicing terror just held back by ingrained training in Ben Foster's character - then the resignation after a revelation.

Once you realize what everything is, you can sit back and take it in a bit more. Sure, the monsters ripping peoples guts out is scarry and there's that Alien-esque terror of not knowing where they are or where they're coming from. But once you realize what the hell's going on, it's a lot creepier on the human level.

(500) Days of Summer - The movie left me mixed on many levels. It's heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time. I loved the comedy and artistic turns it took. Just don't know. May need a second viewing.

Just finished Party Girl with Parker Posey. I've had every experience she did working in a library...well, except the sleeping with a Lebanese falafel vendor in the Romance Languages section.

ah yes, library sex

I've thought about sex in the library, having it whille in the library and just having it in the stacks. Something about the nooks and crannies and all that quiet...Makes you want to be naughty...

The Wolfman - was good, but not great. Definitely more violent then I was expecting.

What experiences were those?
Just run of the mill stuff: dealing with annoying people and self-explanatory questions. But there was also the scene where she handed someone a stack of books that were just what the patron wanted...and I've done that, too.

Suuposedly, that's all that happens on the fourth floor of my university library. It does always smell a little...off.

I agree. A great WTF kind of movie. Zombie nazi-esque mutants versus what looks like a lawn gnome and big titty fairies.

That reminds me of one I saw the other day on DVD. It's called Dead Snow. Six students on holiday in the alps versus a horde of Zombie Nazis. Despite the awesome premise, it could have been much better.
