Leather and Lace

Juli lifts Keri out of the chair and puts her by Katie and Kallie. "Katie come back to us."


Kallie made room for Keri and just continued to hold Katie close. "Come on Katie we need you."

Keri clings to Katelyn the best she can, crying to her "Fight, think about the wonderful life you will have now. You have us and we wont hurt you."

Katelyn seems to take in a deep breath and respirations slowly increase, her pulseox climbing from in the 70 up to 91, her breathing only slightly shallow. Her pulse rising to around 60.

Juli watched things and looked at Jen who was sitting there seemingly lost in her own little world toying with the ring on her hand. She made mental note to have Jen see a therapist.


Kallie held onto Katelyn a best she could. "That's it Katie fight."


Jen was very much unaware of what was happening around her she was lost in thoughts of Kristin which seemed to comsume her these days to the point where doing much of anything was to much for her.

Keri slowly pulls away from Katelyn as she starts fighting to come back. She rolls to her back and reaches for her love.

Katelyn's body starts to relax as she comes back around, her eyes opening just a little, she licks her lips to wet them and tries to talk but can't. Intead she just gives Kallie a weak smile.

Juli slide onto the bed herself holding Keri tight in her arms.

Kallie smiled at Katie. "It will be okay Katie."

Keri snuggles up against Juli tightly, not really caring that it hurts to be held this tightly by her love.

Katelyn watches Keri quietly, her body not moving in it's weakness.

Juli lightens her hold a little bit knowing that Keri is in pain.

Kallie cuddled Katie close. "It's okay little one gain your strength."

Keri sighs softly, closing her eyes and leaning against her Juli lovingly as she turns the ring on her finger once. She opens her eyes and tilts her head to look at Juli for a moment, thinking to herself that she needs to pinch herself to see if this is for real.

Katelyn nods slowly, looking a bit shocked at being called little one but liking it. She smiles softly then blushes a bit. She sighs softly not liking all the machines and the tubes hooked up to her.

Juli looked at Keri as she turned the ring on her finger. "Yes it's real. Keri Anne will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?"

Kallie cuddled Katie closer as she watched that moment. "I'm glad you've come back to us little one."

Keri gasps at Juli's words, tears filling her eyes and broad smile coming across her face "Yes, in a heartbeat yes" she exclaims.

Katelyn smiles at Kallie timidly "Th... thank you" She snuggles up against Kallie warmly, drawn to her but not sure why.

Juli kissed Keri softly. "I'm am so happy."

Kallie smiled at Katie. "You're welcome." She cuddled Katie close to her glancing at her lil sis.

Jen stayed lost in thought toying with the ring on her finger.

Keri kisses Juli back softly "I'm the happiest I have ever been" she smiles and kisses Juli again, lightly tracing her lips over Juli's as she does so.

Katelyn feels sleep coming to her once again but fights it, she wants to hear Kallie's voice again but doesn't know what to say to her.

Juli kisses Keri gently just enjoying this.

Kallie smiles at Katie. "I'm not going anywhere little one."

Jen snaps back to it in time to see Keri and Juli kiss she started to cry softly.

Keri pulls away from Juli suddenly as she hears Jen's crying. She sighs softly "I.. I'm sorry"

Katelyn takes a deep breath and nods, still unsure of what to say to Kallie, or any of them for that matter.

Juli looked at Jen a moment and knew something had to be done to help her.

Kallie glanced at Jen and just held onto Katie.

Jen offered Keri a weak smile. "It's okay and congratulations."

Keri doesn't really smile back, feeling really bad now. She leans into Juli a bit not really sure what to say or do at this moment.

Katelyn listens quietly, her heart sinking as she listens to Jen, she can't see her voice speaks volumes.

Juli held onto Keri tightly and had the I should have thougth about this look.

Kallie held onto Katie as tight as possible.

Jen sighed a little bit. "I'm just not good company. I shouldn't have come."

Keri swallows hard, not really sure if she should say something or not. From her position she can't really see Jen, so she stares at the ceiling. "Yes Jen, you should have come. You need to be with people that care about you, whether it feels comfortable for you or not." She bites her lip as she finishes, hoping that did not make Jen angry.

Katelyn listens to Keri then looks back up at Kallie curiously.

Juli smiled. "Yes what she said."

Kallie held onto Katie. "Exactly what Keri said."

Jen just looked at the four of them. "I guess I just haven't been fit company lately."

 

[DustyWolfe]

Keri thinks about this for a moment, smiling to herself though not visibly. "Who cares? Your presence is all that matters. Friends are friends through the good times and the bad. If you can't be around your friends when times are rough then how do you expect to work through them?"

Katelyn listens quietly, her left hand shakily rising and tracing over Kallie's right arm slowly.

Juli holds onto Keri letting her do the talking thinking she may get through to Jen.

Kallie smiles at Katelyn and enjoys the feeling of her arm being traced over. She drops a kiss to the top of Katie's head.

Jen looked at Keri a moment. "I guess you're right. I've been keeping to myself which is probably not good for me."

Keri pulls herself up a bit and looks at Jen "You know it isn't." she winces at the words that are about to come out of her mouth but she knows she is right for saying it "Kristen would not want you to be like this. She would want you to enjoy your life."

Katelyn shivers and gets goosebumps as her head is kissed. She smiles softly at Kallie, still tracing soft circles on her arm.

Juli helped Keri sit up a little bit not saying anything because coming from Keri it works.

Kallie shivers at the soft circles on her arms and she presses another kiss to Katie's head.

Jen stared at Keri a moment. "It's just hard for me it hasn't been that long."

Keri, turns her head and smiles at Juli "Thank you love" She grabs one of Juli's hands and holds it gently as she watches Jen "We know it is hard for you, but that is where WE come in. We can support you through this, but only if you let us. Lean us a bit and let us carry part of that burden for you."

Katelyn grins as her head is kissed again, she moves her fingers further up Kallie's arm, still tracing light circles.

Juli smiled and held Keri. "Your welcome." She kissed Keri's forehead.

Kallie smiled and cuddled Katie close to her.

Jen listened to Keri. "I know but to lean on someone is hard for me Kristin is the only one I leaned on."
