I can't say I'm surprised as much as perplexed. Nothing seems to shock me, but there are still things that make me think "That's a thing?" I've got a pretty good bullshit detector and tend to look for consistency in what someone says. If they're honest from the get-go, conversation runs more smoothly and chemistry can develop. I understand discretion and partake in it myself, but there are ways to be honest and open. The best relationships that have developed from here started that way, and I look forward to speaking with those people when I can. Consistency in the long run is difficult to maintain when you're a liar.
