Yes there is a long way to go. After 2, Monty and Paddy are but 1 up. Jimenez and Cink the only two drives to make it to the short grass off the first tee.

I was down at the practice round tuesday and the europeans were having fun, laughing, giving autographs and generally enjoying themselves.

The Crowd took close notice of this and were very vocal about the americans arrogance and poor attitude.

I heard many americans saying the were going to cheer on the europeans because of this.

Well, It looks like the americans will lose on both fronts (the trophey and the fans)

There is a lot of golf yet to play, but as tightly wound as they were on tuesday I don't know how they can relax and play well

Well, this merely continues a trend that the American side has maintained for many, many years. For some odd reason, even when our guys are playing their own balls they fail to get the job done. I suspect the Admiral is possibly right in suggesting the European side will end the day with 6 points - though that would also not be out of character for this competition.

Still have to cheer the americans,especially the ones that I do like.
