LMAO!!! Fantastic is what those guys are! In fact their game is a lot like mine (I wish..............better not lie as Cate knows what I shot recently).
I won't comment on what you shot recently, but I can imagine Hal Sutton in this exchange:

TV Analyst: "So, Hal, what do you think your boys will have to shoot in order to beat Monty and Harrington?"

Hal (in his twangiest good-ol'-boy drawl): "Wayall, ah reckon one of 'em is jes gonna hafta shoot Monty."

LMAO - your imitation of Hal is great.

On Sky TV here in the UK we can watch NBC coverage of the tournament which i just have done for a little while I was pleased to see that the coverage is fair and not too partisan on the part of the Americans!

I agree. It's been quite straightforward. We'll see if things change by Sunday.

Congratulations on your first full point - may it be the only one you get today!

I like the way you put a positive spin on this, Cate.

Kisso - man!! What is going on? I know they are playing terrifically - but it is as though the hole just wants to reject all our putts. Ugh! I'm trying.....

The men on the European team played solid golf and rarely gave anything away. Our team, on the other hand, played sloppily and acted like philanthropists. I would not want to be in Sutton's shoes tonight.

Sutton - can't even go there right now.

It was nice to see some excellent golf at least. And I suppose one good thing is that the level of play didn't give the commentators much to work with to send me to the SF thread, as there wasn't must driving it down the middle today.........
;)

On the other hand, the Euros got it into the hole early, often, and with style. What else would you need to send you to the SF thread? Besides, this morning we even got a shot of a Bush. ;)

And your point is?
lol Being SF would be better then PO'D right now! ;)

Well, we're good at that, aren't we? The SF part of the equation, I mean.

But, as someone in an obscure movie (at least I wish it were obscure) once said, "Tomorrow is another day."

I absolutely refuse to gloat. There is still a long way to go.

The Europeans played as a team the Americans did not. Sunday will be different but by then we might only need 1 point!

And by the way the Europeans didn't win the Woods/Mickelson and Clarke/Westwood match, Mickelson lost it!

Let us just recall the old saw, "He who laughs last laughs best."

We intend to be laughing best by this time Sunday night.

Good morning all

Kiss, i believe the quote is "he who laughs last, laughs loudest".

What a great first day by the European team, Monty and Harrington, the new dream team....paired together again this morning! :D

Still a long way to go, but if we can take four points today, going into the singles 10 1/2 to 5 1/2, you've gotta like our chances.

Jst a minor gloat.....Phil Micklesons drive on the 18th last night....fantastic golf shot! :D

Good morning all. They're ready on the first tee.

Admiral, how terrible to take joy in another's misfortune! lol

;)

I see Poulter and Clark have been paired. What a twosome. Between Poulter's clothing and Clark's hairdo......... at least they're together. I wonder at Garcia and Westwood though, two great golfers yes but will their personalities work together? I like them both but it just seems like a risk to me. Ah, what do I know though...... bring on the matches!

Good afternoon Admiral, everything seemed more than fine yesterday!!

Here's hoping our side starts working as a team today and into the future. It is so clear that Europe is a team, they work well with each other, they are friends. This event is the one Europe wants most........ everytime!!

Our side is twelve individuals(corporations) that show up at the same place ~ we need to change our attitude toward this competition if we want to be competive now and in the years to come.

Personally I'd like to see a change in the way our team is choosen, bring the twelve best golfers that play well together instead of the twelve with the highest points.

But after all that said things are looking lovely in Michigan for our team this morning! lol:D
