Literotica Authors and Their Books (For Literotica Authors ONLY)

After

AFTER just got a double plus good review at Alternative-Read.com, which is really comforting, because this book is not selling like hotcakes (it's almost as if not everyone thinks the apocalypse is bound to be super sexy. Hey, people! I can't title every novel Abduction...).

Skipping over the spoiler-laden synopsis, here's a taste of the review:

After is not a book which can be read in one sitting. It is a complicated study of men and women at both their best and worst…when choice has been stripped away and then alternate options discovered. I found it both dark and desperate twined round hopeful and optimistic with a dash of wit and humor sprinkled along to leaven it. The people and situations at times are so real that I clenched my teeth in anger, wiped my eyes in sorrow and simply shook my head in resignation at the futility of some of it. Varian Krylov has created a world that was in some instances far too real for my peace of mind with stunning clarity of expression and descriptions that created pictures all too visible in my mind. I hope none of us must ever face anything close to her creation. A definite must read.

Wow! Nice review. Well done and Congrats!

As far as post-apocalyptic books go, I just read The Road, by Cormac McCarthy. Highly rated, best book lists and such - I made myself finish it even though I knew what was going to happen. Meh.

Thanks, jomar. :rose:

I'm guessing there just weren't enough threeways, sixty-nines and anal sex scenes in The Road to keep it interesting. I doubled up on such scenes in my book, just to be safe.

Thanks, jomar. :rose:

You're right! All it was was man and son walking, walking, walking down a road. What kind of best seller doesn't have at least one hot sex scene these days?

Nice review, Varian. Congrats.

Thanks ever so. And look! Hurt is finally out. If anything's gonna sell better than an apocalypse, it's a potentially fatal illness!

And where have you been hiding yourself? Seems like I don't see you around much, these days.

Nice review, Varian. Brava!

Gratsi, Mr. Alien, gratsi.

Now, will you teach me how to weave some humor into my writing? I can be funny in real life. No, seriously. But not in my writing. Not on purpose, at least. How do you do it?

Been spinning those books out (in case you haven't noticed). :)

I just assumed you had seventy or eighty novels stockpiled, ready for release, given the rate at which you put them out. Me, I max out at about a book a year.

Good show, either way--I see you've still got several up on the top rated and the top selling list of eXcessica books at Fictionwise.

A little of this, a little of that. I usually manage only one or two of them a year in the mainstream world.

As do you, of course. ;)

Different topic, maybe? :D

When they're 100K, it's no wonder! :D

I would have thought AFTER would sell better than Abduction... I adore the AFTER cover... the cover alone would make me want it! :cattail:

It would seem the notion of kidnapping is far more titillating the image of a hot guy stripped to the waist. What's up with that?

Coming October 13 from Total E-bound: Wolfish Dreams

A werewolf, Teagan dream walked with her, making love to her, showing her a love with a gentleness she'd never known before. But he could only be there in her dreams, a fact that Josie had to find a way to reconcile. But would he stay in her dreams or would Teagan be the man that Josie needed?

It's good to see the eXcessica publishing house doing so well in the marketplace. There's at least one eXcessica title in nearly all of the erotica categories at All Romance E-Books--several in the top-ten best-seller listings, and habu's Raven Possession is now in third place for high rating for all erotica books at Fictionwise. Alas SelenaKitt is no longer on the best-selling author list there, but she made quite a splash on that list for a while. I'm now reading Varian Krylov's Hurt, and I see it's already on the best-seller list for the publisher at Fictionwise.

Kudos to SelenaKitt and authors. Seems it's a success.

Indeed, eXcessica is doing well in the marketplace.

Today, Varian Kyrlov's Hurt moved into first place in rating for all of exotica listed on Fictionwise.

My own Raven Possession is now in fourth place on that list, having been bumped down by the recently released Hurt starting out at the top.

(Fictionwise only lists the top five, so who knows how close to the top some of eXcessica's other releases are)

Later: I did find the fuller list. My Flying High is at 11, but that's it for eXcessica near the top in rating.

eXcessica does have four in the top 50 best-sellers at Fictionwise: Selena Kitt's Under Mr. Nolan's Bed (29), Selena Kitt's Babysitting the Baumgartens (30), my Cruising Through History (45), and Sabb's Barbarian Tale One (49).

This is out of 6,225 erotica e-books listed at Fictionwise.

And don't forget - Abduction and Leader of the Pack were in the top 10 for a while (I think Leader got to #2!). And we have more books that have made the top 50 - Lord Melchior and others. We really are doing quite well - and FW says the check is in the mail. I'm waiting, any day now! :D

Just because all of my stuff released at one time! ;) I'm back to relative obscurity again, at least until I finish the Baumgarter reunion... :D
