When I click that icon, a Windows Explorer window on my Windows desktop opens up, from which I can select an image. I just did this one attached. Not sure how long it will persist.

It's the same as if your did an attachment under the old system. The rules of what are still there. If you don't own the copyright you can't upload an attachment, instead you have to link it from the source URL.

ETA: It would seem not all forums are sorting in newest first order. I was just in the Amateur Picture forum and it's not sorting newest first.

OK, thanks for that reminder/information. I had forgotten to review the terms of service when the new format arrived. And that (very sensible) copyright restriction on attachments has been in there all along anyway, even with the old format. That answers the question and solves the problem.

Overnight I became just "Experienced" and I've come across two other posters one of who had over 500 posts but less than I do, and he/she are Literotica Gurus, and one who has a little over 200 posts and are "Really Experienced". Have I pissed off someone and been demoted? It's no big deal, just kinda wondering. Thanks for your time.

You can actually put in ANY title you wish now. Go to your User Control Panel on the "story side" of Lit, edit your profile and save, and it will appear here.

Do you mean the threads themselves in the forum, or the posts inside the threads? Could you post a link to a forum or thread where you see out of order posts or threads?

Wow, I just learned that I cannot send myself Private Messages.

How am I supposed to retain great pictures I've found in the pic threads ... or save roleplay replies that I am not yet ready to post?

Is there a new option to this of which I am unaware.

if you are that keen to save pics, why not save them onto your own pc rather than expect this site to host them for you if it's such an issue?

there's a draft option to save posts you're not ready to publish to the site. it's right up there at the top of the reply box... there are 3 dots between the roll-back icon and the preview pad/magnifying glass... that brings up the draft icon (along with some others)

manu posted shortly above your own post. he's about, and no doubt very busy fielding gazillions of PMs for all kinds of issues. I suggest a little patience would be the way to go. It's not like you pay anything to be able to come and post here, is it?

Maybe this has been brought up in the other 40 pages, but is it possible to bump up the 10,000 character limit on posts? It's proving to be too little in the RP forums, I've known a few people aside from myself that have run into it now.

Came here to talk about and request something similar.

I use both the sexual, and non sexual rp boards and a 10,000 character limit is very hard for me. That's about the length of a medium post for myself, and granted, I've used other image boards where the roleplay board had about two to three times that limit.

I could do multiple posts, but when you are writing creatively and really want a certain feel to what you're saying, or simply want to express things in more than just a few paragraphs, it really can dampen the impact of your post.

I'm not sure if this is something that can be fixed but I would really like for it to be it at all possible.

I'm suggesting that writing such lengthy entries might be better submitted on the story side than on a discussion forum that isn't really intended for story length entries.

Yea 10,000 would be quite lengthy for regular discussion, we were talking specifically about the rp forum where some users really enjoy stretching their creative and writing muscles
