Literotica Forum Update: Share Your Feedback, Issues & Requests

I wasn't. I was just commenting with as few words as possible about how you could get by with 10,000 characters, after all over on twitter they get by with a 140 don't they?
And I don't do collaborative role play writing on twitter for a multitude of reasons. The argument of twitter is ridiculous as few posts in any category aside from PG games would fit into the 140 characters or less limitation.

Why is this such a problem for you? Seriously, why?

Make ya' a deal. We'll give up 5K characters per post on the rest of the boards and you can have the extras on the RP boards. I never go to RP and I hate long posts on the discussion boards.

I'm sus' that they're messing around considering they have their own stories published on lit.

There's really no need to make deals and hinder another part of the site when it would be a simple fix lol.

How is it possible that one person, much less multiple people, care about other people wanting a higher character limit like was always the case here before? This is baffling.

I suppose there could be a user base that wants a site more structured to something similar to Twitter, and while I don't have a problem with Twitter personally... Literature is literally in the name of this website.

If short posts and replies became not only the norm here, but the requirement, (I'm not saying it will, I'm just trying to make a point), then this site would no longer be of use to me and I would have to find another site that could fulfill that role. That's why I originally came here after all, because I was struggling to find a website in which I could write adult fiction and roleplays.

Has this entire discussion about the matter used 10,000 characters all tolled?

I like the new forum. Everything seems to be working good. The only thing I wish for now is that they remove the share button when you post something through the media button. I wanted to post a funny video of me on my thread, but since there is a share button that goes with it, I won't. I know I can't stop anyone from copying and pasting anything that I post, but I certainly don't want to encourage anyone in doing so by giving them a share button. I think it is so wrong that there should be any kind of connection between a site like this and that of facebook or any of the other social media sites. Sorry, but that is sooo wrong in my opinion!

This is normal, this is bold, this is italics, this bold italics.

It looks okay to me on my desk top. Are you using another device, phone, tablet?

The Literotica forum was updated from vBulletin to XenForo on 02/22/2022.
Please use this thread to share your feedback, bug reports, and feature requests. We want to know how we can make the forum work better for you.
If you want to change the look of the forum, there is a style chooser in the footer. The two available styles are Classic Literotica and Modern Literotica. The Modern Literotica style will eventually be getting a dark mode to go along with the full Literotica site dark mode that we've already been working on.
Thank you for all of your feedback in advance. :D

I must admit that I am enjoying seeing the 'Likes' on the various posts I have made. 😉

I often have this "Oops! We ran into some problems." when I'm about to post a written msg. or img. It happens quite often.

I also see this from time to time. What I do is to first copy whatever text/image I have entered, then Reload the page, then Paste my material back in. Then Post reply. That seems to work.

Same. But that shouldn't be normal. That's my point.
It's not a job. lol

i get this, too. I hit the refresh page icon and the autosave function seems to keep what i've typed, most of it ... sometimes a longer post might be missing some lines. I've taken to doing what s.r suggests but normally don't need it.

It seems like timing thing. Spend too long on a page while composing a post, or some one else sneaks a post in. The refresh catches you up again.

Only time I have seen that is when someone attached a image from their computer instead of inserting the image via a URL from some other site.

I almost never insert img via computer. I might have done that once.
And, again, this is not just about inserting img but also simple text. In fact, it happens less with img and more when writing. Whether public (e.g. forums) and/or in private.

Clearly this is a technical issue with this site. I've been in another sports forum for 10 years now and they have had the same exact format but never had these issues.
