Crimson,

Of course you do. (Getting out big whip)

Will's :D

Now Now, Will's. You know a whip doesnt do much good on people. Here, take this studded paddle instead!

:D :D

Why is there no trumpet symbol !!

I re-wrote the bit I posted earlier following help comments.

It comes out at 6414 words, that takes me to 51,518.

I'll get it up to NaNo once I've strung the chapters together.

Yippee.

Well, I have proved something to my self:
1) I can write
2) Sometimes it's good writing
3) I want to do more and have now intention of stopping now.
If ever you people want to know just what support means, let me tell you something just one or two AH people know. I haven't written anything since I left school 35 years ago, the Alien Incest story was the first thing I wrote.

Now, in 3 1/2 weeks I have exceeded my wildest ever dreams. I have wanted to do this for sooo long and never had the courage.

Thank you people, you know who you are.

Now the fun begins, I need to finish it and that will take some time, current idea is to seperate it into three parts, the initial investigation and his arrest, the central part dealing with the relationship between the three charactors, and a final part dealing with his decline and the finding of the body (or bodies, I can't decide whether Madeleine is alive or dead, at the moment I love her charactor too much to wish her any harm)

I'm away for a few days, hence the need to finish, not sure how much time I will have to write.

Kissy Hugs to everyone, including MG.

Congrats Wills! :nana:

Way to go on joining the ranks of the 50,000 word count NaNoers!

Congrats

Having been in my own little world for a few days, it's amazing to see the activity there has been in this thread.

I have just managed to read your extract Perdita and it was great! If you don't reach the 50K you can be proud you have written an awe inspiring piece of work!

Congratulations and well done for reaching 50K Wills. It's been great seeing you post your extracts. I haven't had the time to read all of them but what I have read were great and considering your comments of not having written in so long, you've been amazing!

Congratulations to all the others who have reached the 50K mark! It's amazing to see so many people have completed. You must be one proud bunch of people!

Ah, Wills, your news is good, I'm happy for you. Sorry, no trumpet, have a, nah, I can't give you a banana.

abrazos y bessos,

A'adgts Initiation - A tale of alien incest.

Good on you Wills, nice one mate, I knew you'd do it, another old bugger like me who went into this half convinced, rather than full of it. (Well young bugger, I see you're a year younger than me, hehe!!)

Look forward to reading the full version when it's done and dusted:cool:

Congratulations Wills! :nana:

Your personal achievement is awesome. I didn't realise you hadn't written anything since leaving school; quite frankly I find that unbelievable. Not that I don't believe you, of course, but your excerpts are indicative of an experienced writer.

Keep up the good work. :D

Lou  :rose:

You too, huh? I hadn't written anything since high school (12 yrs for me) either until I wrote my first Lit story (which was posted a couple of weeks ago.)

Your excerpts have been great and I hope we get the opportunity to read the entire story.

Late Starters Unite!

I'm another who didn't start writing until about 34 years after leaving school. In my case around 1995. I've been posting stories on Lit since around mid-2000, but some of my early work has its origins about five years before that.

I've done it! Woohoo! :D

I hit 50,081 words at 2:40 this afternoon, and it's been validated. Yay!

I'm one happy woman right now. I've still got some more of my novel to write, too, which is really cool.

Thanks to each and everyone one of you for making this one of the best experiences of my life. The support, attitude and encouragement of you all has been awesome.

I must send some special thanks to Mike, for getting me into this, and to Adam for joining me in it. You two have been with me all the way, and I know you are both close to completion yourselves.

There's a lot of others who are close, too. Keep at it guys, you can get there.

I love you all!

Tatelou - doing a happy dance. :nana::heart:

Hehe!! All these old buggers that didn't take it up until later in life, yeppers late starters unite. My first posted story anywhere is dated 2000 as well. Guess we all got bored with normality:D

Hey Lou Lou you lovely creature, well done, bloody good show lady, now take a sit back and glow for a few days, you've earned it. Probably wouldn't do you any harm to get pissed as well:D :rose: Tell that hubby to keep pounding the keys, he'll be there soon.

Have a nana :nana: :nana: Sod it have two I'm feeling generous.

Congrats Lou! :nana:

Way to go! Woohoo!

CM (who's slowly inching her way up... and would be there already if she hadn't started over dangit!)

Congratulations Tatelou,

You handicapped yourself by being the support for everyone else but still made it with days, nay a week, to spare.

That deserves my first ever nana.

It's Official!

As of 10:30 pm last night.

The Final Wordcount for The Montegard Files: Shadow Demon is:

52,512

I made it, guys, got the certificate, and I'm feeling Fine!! :nana:

I'm going to be re-reading it over the next few weeks to add more to it in places to flesh out certain areas of the story. but hey, I'm feeling pretty good about myself. I never thought I'd be able to do it.

But look at me now.

Well done, Tatelou, and well done, BardsLady (officially, this time!)

Perseverance has its rewards.

I just want to say, publicly, that without Tatelou none of us would be here today, sharing this, and willing on you others to finish. Lou, we're in your debt.

Alex

Way to go Bardslady, I knew you'd get there.

Have a nana it's tradition:D :nana: :nana: Then of course so's two.
