Loa Blood

Nikki screamed Damien's name as he leapt of the balcony. She watched him fly off into the distance. Damn men, always leaving at the first oppurtunity. Sighing softly she quickly got dressed and ran a hand through her hair. She glanced at the tv her eyes widening at the news report. Damien must have headed there, well she could help as well. Grabbing her jacket she hurried out the door on her way to the asylum.

Sugar

Sugar's eyes widened as the man held the syringe to her throat.

"She's going to be Seth's pretty lady now, yes?"

She recognized the man as a fellow inmate from the asylum and smiled, "silly Seth, I don't wanna play doctor with you right now."
She tried to pull away but his grip on her arm remained firm.
"Lemme go you stupid boy!" Suddenly she felt flushed, and her skin began to tingle as the current ran through her and into him, and she could see the fear in his eyes.
He screamed and dropped the syringe, though he managed to swing at her. Grazing her jaw.
Tears welled up in the corner of her eyes and Seth screamed again, this time more of a howl as he collapsed to the ground shaking.
"You're a mean man." She kicked him in the shins as he continued to scream.

She heard voices further down the road, back towards the way she'd come and she giggled running off into the shadows, "they'll never find me. I was always the best hider."

Monolith

When your almost 8' tall & weigh over 500 pounds, stealth is not really a option, so I decided shock was the best tactic to take.
I leapt through the doorway, grabbing one of the armed inmates & slinging him into another one, sending both crashing through the wall & into the romm next door. I heard screaming & firing, and felt the bullets flattening on my back as the other armed madman emptied his clip into me. I turned when I heard him click on a empty magazine, & closed on him. Grasping his entire head in my hand, I lifted him up and threw him through the hole, adding him to the pile of uncouncious inmates. That left two. Both had a wide-eyed look on their faces, like their wors nightmare had come true.

I couldn't help it, I had to do it
"BOO!!!!!!! "

"Don't make a move, whoever you are, or I swear this woman dies!" The bearded inmate steps behind a fat Aralian nurse, holding his gun to her head. Both their eyes are wide with fear, but the man knows now it will be useless to fire at Monolith.

The other remaining inmate, a red-skinned Svetlander with a shaved head, held a kitchen knife to a guard's throat.

"Ahheheheh . . . . Sweet master's come! Ignores their guns . . . we'll eat their skin . . . and what's within . . . . and master will take us with him!"

On the second floor of the asylum, a huge, muscular inmate tears apart his doctor's office. He spills filing cabinets onto the floor, pulls paintings and documents off the walls, and splits the furniture with a massive sledgehammer. He wears only the orange pants of his asylum uniform, his bare torso bulging with muscles and veins. Finally, he finds what he is looking for. His mask.

Stichface pulls the roughly sewn bag of patchwork leather over his face. His eyes gleam with malice in the eyeholes. Now he is back. Now he is strong again. He is Stichface, and he will feel no pain. This time, they will never catch him. He picks up his hammer, and turns to leave the room.

OOC: You have a evil mind sir because you KNOW what i'm gonna do. I love it!

IC: Looking at the two madmen, I know I can't reach either of them before they can kill a hostage, so I decide to change the situation.
Looking down at the wooden floor, I get an idea. Raising one of my massive legs up, I slam my foot down, shaking the room and quite possibly the entire ward. Nothing happens for a second, then with a groan the floor collapses under me, spilling me down into the next room.
WWhen the dust settles I get up & notice a pair of orange legs sticking out from under the rubble of the floor above me.
I knew something had softened my fall.

On the main floor of the asylum, in the kitchen, several inmates shove their hostages into the large, walk-in freezer. Upstairs, they hear crashes and shots.

"The cops have come in up top!" one inmate growls, shivering.

"Relax," says his companion, breath fogging in front of his face, "This freezer's metal on all sides. There's only one way in, and they can't touch us as long as we've got these cops with us."

Two of the larger inmates position themselves at the freezer doors, fire-axes at the ready.

Sugar

She was skipping down the alley when she heard the scream, more of a squeal really coming from further down the alley.
She backtracked towards the asylum, avoiding the searchlights.
She noticed a warehouse door ajar, and went inside.
In the dim interior she noticed the red-skin of a Svetlander, but he wasn't the one making the noise.
As she got closer she made out the stripped figure of a young girl that very much resembled herself.
The girl was sobbing as the man thrust into her, over and over, ignoring her screams and cries for help.
Sugar's blood began to boil as flashes of her own rape flashed before her eyes,"STOP." She said firmly.
The Svetlander turned to face her, sizing her up and he smiled.
"Hey sweetness..." he purred. "Care to join us?" He smirked.
But that smirk quickly faded, as his eyes rolled back in his head and he shuddered.
This gave the sobbing girl enough time to push him off of her, she ran away, clutching her tattered shirt to her chest.
Heat poured off her skin and the man screamed.
"Do you like the way it feels," she murmmered.
"To be violated over and over. To be used."
The man groaned, spasming, his heartbeat pounding in his ears.
She knew exactly what he was feeling, and she only intensified it.
Suddenly he stopped spasming and went very still.
His breathing slowed and stopped. She froze.
She hadn't meant to kill him...but in a way she was glad.
Who says he hadn't deserved to die. He was a rapist, a violator...an abuser of women, or life...
She backed up slowly out of the warehouse, her eyes still fixated on the man's dead shell, and she found that she couldn't stop shaking....

Damien walked towards the kitchen. he started to reach out with his mind to find hostages now. He looked around the kitchen and saw that the freezer had some one in it. Damien smiled and walked over to it, he knew there were five cops and two inmates in the room but that did not bother him.

Damien streched his wings out and begin to flap them about the room a small dust storm picking up in the room. He heard one of the inmates yell "Holy Shit man what is this guy doing with the f*cking wings" Damien just keep smiling as the doors on the freezer began to shake, Damien's wings were now producing galeforce winds in the room.

Finally the door ripped off and sucked everyone out of the freezer, then two inmate just laided on the ground, Damien stoped his wings and smiled down at them "shall we still play?" he asked them....

Second Floor

As Monolith turned to leave the room, the masked man under the rubble rose up and lunged at him. If Monolith had landed directly on top of him, Stichface would have been crushed, but in his maddened state, the rubble alone was scarcely enough to slow him down.

The masked maniac swung his sledgehammer at the side of Monolith's head, sending the stone man toppling over and crashing him through the wall of the office into the hallway beyond. Still covered with plaster dust and debris, Stichface followed out into the wall, chuckling. He stood over Monolith, and raised the hammer above his head, poised to give the final blow. He was surprised by a stony fist suddenly catching him in the stomach and knocking him back against the wall.

Monolith stood up slowly. "Okay," he said, "that hurt."

Stichface didn't feel his broken ribs, and didn't mind the taste of his own blood in his mouth, but he wasn't laughing any more. The man should be dead from a hammer blow to the head like that, and he was hardly even stunned. He swung at Monolith again and again, his hammer ringing off the man's granite chest. Monolith's clothes were in tatters, and tiny chips of stone flew off of him, but his eyes never flinched.

Finally Monolith grabbed the huge maniac by the neck, and lifted him up. with his other hand he took the wooden shaft of the hammer, and shattered it in his grip. "Playtime's over." he said, calmly, and slammed Stichface heavily into the floor, knocking him out.

First Floor

As the two inmates were sucked out of the freezer by the wind from Damien's wings, one of them had the sense to hang onto the gun he'd taken from one of the captive cops.

"Die, freak!" he yelled, firing wildly at the winged man before him.

Damien wrapped his wings around himself just in time, the bullets glancing off his metal "feathers".

The two inmates held up their hands in surrender.

Damien could sense the fight upstairs, and a large group of inmates and hostages in the basement. He could also sense unusually strong psychic emanations coming from outside the asylum, from a young woman approaching the police barricade from beind.

Sugar

She was still shaking as she neared the flashing lights from behind.
She needed her dolly.
Dolly would love her, dolly would keep her safe.
She was so warm. Power radiated off her in waves, as screams began to erupt in the crowd.
She stumbled through the rubble, no one daring to come near her though the screaming had stopped.
All the officers would do was aim their guns in her general direction, though afraid to appear to be a serious threat to the docile looking woman child.
She noticed her dolly a few feet away, just outside the hole that had been blown in the asylum wall. It was dirty and trampled,
even more tattered than it had been before.
But she picked it up all the same, clutching it tightly as the soiled fabrics absorbed her salty tears.
Some of the officers near her lowered there guns and cried as well, some even embraced each other.
She moved back inside, trying to calm herself. Feeling her skin begin to cool as the power subsided.
She suddenly had a moment of clarity. Something she hadn't had in a LONG time.
She was suddenly aware of all the skirmishes around her.
She sighed and cast a feeling of serenity to those around her, like the soothing words of a lullaby.
The violence did not stop, but both sides took time to pause and evaluate the events as Sugar began to move towards the kitchen...

Damien covered his earrs as the screams from outside. he looked out as he saw a young lady enter the kitchen area, her mind was radiating with a million thoughts, Damien tried to concentrate on her but could not. there was something different about her.

Damine just smiled at her.

Sugar

She blinked innocently at Damien, taking in the whole sight of him...
She tilted her head to the side slightly, smiling faintly.
"You're pretty....are you an angel?"

Kryna Ennairy

Slowly waking up with her limbs entangled with Dex’s, Kryna turns her head to look at the clock. Her old buddy, Fagin, was expecting her in a half hour. She carefully disentangles herself from Dex silently laughing to herself over the many uses for her thief’s skills. Grabbing her bag she slips out of the room and heads downtown.

Two blocks away from where she was supposed to meet her old friend and fence, she hears sirens and gunshots. Not again she thinks as she hurries on to the meeting point. She’s slipping through the shadows only one block away from the confusion at the asylum when suddenly a hand reaches out of an alley and grips her wrist.

Kryna swings her other arm around pressing her stunner to the arm that gripped her wrist. Her stunner had been in her hand since the moment she left the hotel, just like old Fagin taught her. Her asalient makes an unintelligible noise and grabs at her again. All her dodging and lightning fast moves are no help this time as the man pins her against the wall of a warehouse.

The asalient’s face moves into the light and Kryna can see his scraggly beard and scarred face. He holds a syringe with the hazard sign for loa on it in a hand that slowly decends towards her.

"She's going to be Seth's pretty lady now, yes?"

One eye opened as Kryna pulled herself from their embrace. He let it close unoticed and snuggled deeper into the covers, feigning sleep as she dressed silently and slipped out the door.

Dex sighed and fell into step some distance behind her. He knew they were headed back into a warehouse district of some sort, but for what purpose he couldn't guess.

Why he was following her he wasn't quite sure. Thankfully he'd picked up the necessary shadowing skills from some assignments at work.

He waits around the corner until he hears the clank of the rather thin metal door of the warehouse close and then makes his way toward it.

Kryna Ennairy

Just looking at the man’s face she can tell he’s insane. That explains why the stunner didn’t knock him out like it should have. Kryna starts fighting hard again, surprising the attacker by using her powers suddenly growing to over 6 feet tall.

In the ten years she’s been in the thieving business she’s always been able to get away. She manages to stun him again, but it has very little effect. Finally she starts yelling for help.

The syringe sinks into her shoulder and her cries fade to nothing as the room spins and she passes out.

Dex is just edging the warehouse door open when he hears Kryna yelling for help. For some reason that's not something he can see her doing unless she's really in bad trouble.

Dex slips inside and blinks a few times, trying to get used to the lower amount of light. Slowly his vision changes, growing lighter, whites and greys becoming more vivid. He sees a strange sort of man crouching over Kryna who has a syringe protruding from her shoulder.

"Hey, what have you done," he shouts to the man, who spins around, knuckles on the floor, almost in a 3 point stance.

Sure enough, the man lets out a howl and rushes toward Dex. He defensively brings up his hands and tries to bring the flash, but the flash narrows and in a split second a beam of light hits the charging man in the chest, sending him sprawling backwards head over heels. He keeps an eye on the downed man as he moves forward to check on Kryna.

Damien looked at the girl and smiled back to her "Yes my dear I am an angel, the angel of vengence for the sins these men have done to everyone here, now I must help my other friends" with that siad Damien spread his wings one more time and flew thought the hole in the roof that was made the the rucuss.....

Nikki reached the street and yelled for a taxi. However none answered her call. She stood there tapping her foot impatiently. Her mind turned to Damien. She was worried about him, she had saved him once, she was afraid she might have to again. No one had ever affected her the way Damien had and she didn't want to lost him before she figured out why. Damn it where was that taxi! Her mind reached out for Damien grasping firmly on his image. The rest happened so quickly, one moment she was standing outside the hotel the next there was a rush of wind and a sense of weightlessness. Then emptiness and she cried out with fear. Everything went black... when she could see again she was standing in a room with a hole in the floor and watched with surprise as Damien flew up into her view.

Damien freaked out when he saw the Nikki was falling thought the hole he was flying though. he cought her and set her down on the next floor "care to tell just how the hell you got here?"

Nikki swayed then collapsed against Damien's chest. Her head was pounding and the room seemed to dim. She blinking and fought unconciousness burying her face in Damien's chest. She won the battle and took a deep breath. Her gaze met Damien's and she blushed lightly "I'd like to know that as well. One moment I was standing outside the hotel then the next thing I knew I was here." She frowned her vision dimming again "I don't feel very well." she took another deep breath trying to steady herself. Little by little she began to feel better.

Damien looked down to her and smiled "right now Nikki this is not the best place for you to be." with those words he grabed her agian and took off for the roof heading outside the building....

Nikki struggled slightly against Damien "No Damien I don't want to leave. I want to help, please. I'm perfectly capable, after all I saved your life. That has to say something"

Damien looked down to her"very well then, but try not to get hurt down there. these people are crazy and deadly" He drifted down to the roof and let her go...
