Lords and Ladies of the Realm

"Are you sure you didn't deserve being attacked?" Lady Dorynan quirked off-handedly. Then realizing her mistake she turned looking at a few shocked faces. "Lord Lokken I mean you no disrespect. I apologize. I have a great deal to contend with just now and you have just added to the fray."

She paced the encampment, passing by Lady Siren. A brief thought was caught from her mind...'something to tell Lady Dorynan'.

"If you have to tell me something then you will have your chance in a few moments to do so. If you have been withholding information from us that may do us harm I will kill you." Lady Dorynan passed the thought silent from her mind to Sirens. She looked up into her eyes to make sure her meaning was clear and she continued on.

"Lord Remy I would have a round table...within an hours time. Gather all those men who are privy to the wargames and all those who should be privy to our plans. I feel we have not executed this search to the best of our abilities. Time is passing us by and I would get my nephew under our protection as soon as possible. We must change strategies."

Lord Remy nodded and headed off in the direction of the men he would begin gathering.

She returned to face Lord Lokken. "I would have your pledge so that we might get on with the ..festivities." she finished

walks back to Lady Moonlight...

His physical pain evident upon his face...his emotional pain...hidden to all but Moonlight...Holds his side where the silver thorn tore his flesh, as it drips fresh blood...

Moonlight, if you know where i might find some fairly clean rags, and some salve...i need to bind this with fresh bandages.

opens the link to Moonlight...'M'Lady, you know you cannot heal this injury. For, if you do, you will become as I am. A werewolf. I should love to be in your company forever, but not that way.'

Siren heard Lady Dorynans thought enter her mind. She scolded herself for not putting up a mind block but right now she was to upset to concentrate on one. She leaned against a tree and watched the Lady Dorynan wondering why she seemed so annoyed and frustrated. She sensed that she was troubled, many emotions swirled around her. Siren contemplated not telling Lady Dorynan what she had planned on but she knew she had to no matter what. And when it was over she would leave for she would not stay and danger these people anymore. Siren closed her eyes a moment collecting her thoughts. Finally she reopened and awaited her turn to speak with Lady Dorynan.

Lord Remy

As I made my way round the camp gathering those that would be necessary to plan our next moves. I tried to remain focused on the matters at hand but my mind kept drifting back to Dory.....

I finally had summoned all that would be at the gathering, and we proceeded to the center of camp. I took my seat next to Lady Dorynan. The others sat accordingly around the circle. There was tension present on everyone's expressions. I calmed the group by telling them that we were not in any immediate danger, but that if we made any more mistakes we surely would be. With that said I commenced explaining our plan of action to immediately make way to my house in the north to make our stronghold for the return with the child. From there we would take a smaller search group and go after the child, while the others remained behind to protect the stronghold from any intruders. The final aspect of the discussion to be covered was to inform everyone that no more surprises could or would be tolerated, from here on out all things would be handled in a military format. Slip ups and oversights would be dealt with accordingly. With that said I gave a stern look around and turned things over to Lady Dorynan.

Lady Dorynan

"If I am not mistaken, the Passage of Terikol is near Lord Remy's home." Lady Dorynan looked to Drake and he nodded.

"I can not say for certain, but I believe whole heartedly that Rohbodahn had spent time there and would probably set out to place an obstruction there at the pass. That is fine, for we wont be entering Preoria that way. We will go North to Lord Remy's home. Once we cross the borders there, assuming it is safe we will rest a day. We will then split our numbers. Lord Dralk, Lord Remy, and the Council will continue straight on to Preoria with me. As a smaller group it will be much easier to blend in to the city of Preoria and not attract attention. Michaela I would request your company as well. A second party will stay behind for 4 days and then begin the same journey. Roderick, Colin, Siren I ask that you stay behind with the rest of the warriors."

"But Lass, I don't think that is such a good idea. You need protection!" Rodericks hot head could always be counted on. "And who would do a better job than us." he gestured toward Colin.

"My concern for Dory is as great as yours McAllistar." Lord Remy stated. "She is under my protection as well. We will miss your presence but I would die before I let harm come to her, for more reasons than one."

The council watched the interplay silently.

"Uh, milady...what about us?" stammered Digory, the second to the youngest child in the Fenworthy clan.

Damn. She'd almost forgotten they were here. She was about to tell them to stay behind when it dawned on her they were the perfect addition to their disguise. They would all go in as two families who had traveled long days and nights because their village was burned nearby, should they be asked. Perfect.

"Lorne,Breckin,Joshua,Digory,Quinlan you'll be coming with us. You'll add to the disguise." She told them

"I'll not be goin with the likes of you, you bastard! You stole us from our family. I'll be doing nothing you say." Quinlan's anger had finally gotten the best of him.

"Alright you little bastard! You'll do as you are told!" Lady Dorynan grabbed him by his collar and the wind began to pick up around them. Leaves blowing up in almost invisible cyclones. "I've had quite enough of your obstinance and your nasty little attitude. I won't have it!" the wind gusted again and really began to swirl. "You'll do as I say, when I say, and you'll do it perfectly or I'll make you pay!!"

The little boys jaw dropped open and he stared at her nearly paralyzed. Once she got ahold of her temper, she let his collar go and he stumbled back away from her the same stunned look on her face.
Lady Dorynan looked questioningly at the group surrounding her and found Michaela gesturing at her hair, and she had that 'look' on her face.

It dawned on her she was once again lit up like a lightening bolt and the wind was blustering all around them.
Taking a deep breath she began to calm the winds and the lightening.
Knowing there was no good explanation she nodded briskly at those gathered around her and exited the main tent. "We'll be riding soon, those of you who wish to rest should do so."

They all stood as she left the tent. Drake following her lead.

Siren watched Lady Dorynan's show of anger with interest. She was very powerful Siren could sense it. She wondered who exactly she was or rather what she was. Siren ran a hand through her hair brushing it out of her eyes. She didn't mind staying behind it gave her more time to be alone and think. Lady Dorynan would soon want answers from her and Siren would give her them all. She watched as Dorynan walked away 'who are you?' she thought to herself. 'who.."

Moonlight

As Lilly and Stark flew made their was across the seeming endless skies, she became engrossed in the exhilaration of freedom. So much so that for a moment she forgot the very reason they were flying westward. Visions and images filtered through her mind bringing her back to herself and she flew lower, landing beside a small stream and transforming back into her human form.

It hurt her that she could do no more for Nightwolf wounds, even as the Phoenix she would not be able to prevent the link between then from making her what he was, and that was something she had no desire to be. His own healing powers would have to see him healed this time.

With Lord Starke by her side, she lay down on the cool grassy embankment beside the stream to rest. They would go no further tonight.

Stark Wyrmsbane

For a very long distance, the pair had flown through the night sky. Eventually though, even their endurance was reaching the limit, and they chose to settle down for some rest. As they landed, each of them transformed to their respective human forms. The joy of their shared flight was still with them, and they felt no need of words...

As they rested, Stark noticed that the Lady was barely moving... she was obviously suffering from their journey.

"Lady, please allow me to relieve some of your discomfort. My magic isn't so much for healing, but I have picked up a bit of knowledge about massage over the millenia." He smiled at her as her eyes lit up, gratefully, at the idea of a massage...

Lokken walked up to the council of war that was going on. "Mi'Lady, I would request traveling with you. My god has sent me instructions that I am to stay with you at all... er... most times", he said. "And also, please don't call me Lord Lokken".

Lady Dorynan

Lady Dorynan turned on Lokken in exasperation. "Well what shall I call you, since I may not call you by your name?! Which brings me to another point. What do you do? I mean, you appear out of nowhere, you tell me you are here to help, you havent pledged yourself to me, which I'm sure your god told you you would have to do in order to travel with me, since he is so mighty that he would send you to my aid, and then you insult me by asking me not to call you by your given name. So lets have it Lord Whatever You Wish to be called. Explain yourself. How will you be of use to me. I require trust and honesty and forthrightness from everyone around me. You have achieved none of those things. What of it?!"

Lady Dorynan's anger was obvious. She was now seething. She felt an extreme desire to hurt something. Her hand played with the handle of her sword against her thigh. A pain began in the center of her forhead and seemed to pulse faintly. She waited for Lokken to say something clever anything that would take this feeling down a notch.

Lokken was taken aback. "I am sorry, Mi'Lady. I believe you have misunderstood me. I meant not to be adressed by my givn title. I wish to be called simply Lokken. And you are right, I forgot about my pledge", said Lokken gently, trying to soothe her. He got down on his knees and layed his sword down. "I, Lokken, Emperor of Taros, Of the Plane of Darien, under all my oaths as warrior, mage, necromancer, and Revenant, pledge my service undying to the noble and just Lady Dorynan. I await your command, Mi'Lady, to rise up", he said.

Lady Dorynan

Lady Dorynan sighed. She felt defeated and they hadn't even begun the battles she knew were ahead.

"Rise Lokken. Your pledge is accepted and my apologies for losing my temper. I am at a loss for words right now...I need guidance....my senses are clouded ...I need my sister..." her voice trailed off and she turned and left.

Dorynan couldnt be near anyone right now so she passed her tent and kept going into the wooded area. She had smelled water earlier on that day so she thought she would seek it out. It took her half past an hour to find the water and she finally realized her tears had soaked the front of her shirt. Dropping down at the waters edge, her finger trailed in a moonlight pool and she was changed back to her old self. She watched her reflection in the water.

"I'll not fail you Brody. I swear I won't." her whisper kissed the water as a light breeze.

Lokken stood up and looked at her retreating figure. "She almost seems to be in more grief than I am", he whispered to himself. Then he slid off to the Council of Thirteen to get the full on what was going on in this dimension.

Moonlight

With Stark sitting astride Moonlight's naked butt, his fingers worked their magic over her aching body. Having his haands on her body seemed like such a natural thing to have happen, and she relaxed completely, trusting him with all of her body and mind.

Deep with in her, a need that had long ago been supressed was begining to surface. The woman within, the purely female side of her self was imerging, and before she realized it was happening, she rolled beneath him, looking into his eyes and reaching for him, kissed him deeply, passionately. Tonight was made just for them.

Stark Wyrmsbane

Stark had carefully ignored the stirrings within him, where the Lady Moonlight was concerned. After all, she was human, he was dragon... still...

His hands on her, massaging her, were not consciously intended to seduce, but when he touched her, a fire burned in him. When she turned, it just seemed the natural thing to do to lean down and kiss her, human-fashion. The merest touch of his magic served to unclothe him, allowing him to press his naked body against hers.

The passion awakened within each of them knew no limits, recognized no differences. So far as their bodies were concerned, the feelings were the same as those between countless other couples since the dawn of time. A man, a woman, and fire...

Moonlight

As Moonlight and Stark shared the pleasures of their human forms, they knew that there was more to this coupeling then just heated need. Lilly lay spent in his arms, feeling so safe, so complete, so wonderful. She slept remembering ever sweet moment of the night. Her first taste of sexual pleasure would not be her last. Deep within her womb, new life stired and took hold.

Lord Remy

Seeing that Dory was upset I followed her. For a time I merely sat at a distance and watched her near the waters edge. Finally, I made my way over to her, making sure she could hear me coming, I didn't want to startle her as she was already upset.

When she saw me a look of relief came over her face, and she motioned for me to come nearer. When I got close to her, she whispered, "I hoped you would follow me...now we won't be interrupted." With that she moved over close to me and put an arm around my neck. I wraped my arms tightly around her, holding her close as we slowly and passionately kissed. Our minds left our bodies to do as we pleased without interruption or distraction, we were lost in the pleasures of eachother. Soon it was becoming light out and we made our way back to camp, walking, arms around one another.

I walked with her into her tent, we kissed several times and then I told her, "It is time to get ready for traveling, we have much to do, but there will be more time for us later, I promise."

With that I turned and went to my tent to begin packing my things and got them ready, and met all the others out in the center of camp. There was food set out on the fire, I ate hungrily, famished from a night of lovemaking.

Siren realizing that it would soon be time to go began packing the dew belongings she had. She was in the process when Lorne the boy who had approached her earlier came up beside her. "Hello" he said smiling. She glanced at him nodding slightly "Hello Lorne, may I help you with something?" he shook his head "I just wanted to talk to someone and since you were all alone I thought I would take you to" he looked a little unsure as he said it. "Well I suppose if you wish we can talk for a bit" she leaned against a tree watching him. "Where are you from?" He asked curiously. "Well I'm from a kingdom called Aralia. Not many people know of it" she closed her eyes a moment feeling a bit of home sickness. "Whats it like there?" He asked seeming to be hanging on her every word. She laughed softly " Well it is quite beautiful there. There is life everywhere, and many different plants as well, and the best part is you can just feel the magic hanging in the air" she smiled with remembrence. "Wow, it sounds nice" he said "wish I could see it". "You may someday Lorne don't look so down, you are young yet". Just then his brothers began calling him "I must go to my brothers, Thank you for humouring me m'lady" he said smiling as he took his leave. "It was my pleasure m'lord". He smiled at the title and walked away.

Moonlight

OOC: Let me know if i am moving to fast here.

With the first dim glow of early dawn, Moonlight and Stake made their way towards the jagged cliffs that provided a natural defense for the Dark Lords castle. Somewhere within was the child Yelena and Moonlight felt a deep shame that she had failed to get to the girl before the Dark Lord did. She strongly suspected that her former comrade, Conner, had betrayed her, but it was only a suspicion and not one she could act upon without proof. Still, if she was to find proof that he, or his brother was responsible, she would them suffer insurmountable amounts of pain before she let them die. If she let them die.

This left her with quite a dilemma. If Conner had indeed betrayed her, then the Dark Lord knew of the children, and their potential. He would also know about Dorynan, and her army heading to collect the boy. To top off the problem, it was more than likely that he knew she and her group would be coming for the girl. The problem now was coming up with something he was unlikely to suspect. If there was a way of getting into the dungeons and getting the girl out, she would only have one shot at it, and anther failure on her part would be unforgivable.

Sitting quietly for a moment, she opened her mind and linked to Dorynan, telling of all that had happened, and warning them of the possible betrayal. She then opened her link to Nightwolf. If she did succeed in the Yelena out, she would need all the protection he could offer when she returned to Dorynan’s castle. The magic there would provide a certain amount of protection, but they had no idea what kind of strengths the Dark Lord would throw at them, and they would have to be ready for anything. That done, she conferred with Starke as to a feasible plan.

Deciding simplicity would be the better cause of action, the plan was for her to cloak her form in invisibility, open a portal into the girls cell, and get her out as quickly as possible, then transform to the fiery phoenix, and have Stake carry the child to safety while she defended them as best she could. It seemed like a reasonable plan, but would it work?

Lokken conjured up a horse for himself when it came time to travel, and mounted it quickly. The Council of Thirteen caught up to him just as he was about to ride to Lady Dorynan. They were embroiled in a heated conversation a few seconds later.

Lady Dorynan

Lady Dorynan mounted Shalomar and made sure the rest of her troops were behind her before she set off. She'd never felt at such a complete peace before but she knew why. She now knew what it was like to connect with someone. Drakkar had been so gentle and caring that she'd cried tears of happiness and regret long after their lovemaking and he had held her for as long as she could remember. Every time she'd caught a glimpse of him this morning she'd felt an immense warmth spread across her chest and a smile would spread across her lips making all those around her feel that same warmth.

Lost in and caught between thoughts of Drakkar and the children Dorynan didnt immediately notice the insistent yelling of her name. Finally, though, her name drifted across her mind. She looked down. An out of breath Quinlan was running along side her mount. Dorynan stopped short.

"What is it?" she asked

Extremely perturbed he replied, "You forgot me!"

"Why aren't you riding with the others?"

Guiltily, he looked down at his feet and kicked at the ground. "The others say I'm intolerable."

He sounded so dejected that Dorynan gave in. "Well come on then." She leaned over offering her forearm and slipped her foot out of the stirrup on his side.

"You'll take me?" he asked hopefully.

"You've got one moment to.." before she could finish he'd grabbed her arm stuck his foot in the stirrup and with her aid pulled himself up behind her on Shalomar.

"Hold on to me. Do not let go or you will break your little neck by falling off." she commanded.

Dorynan urged Shalomar into a gallop and Quinlan held onto her tighter and whooped. "Woohoo, you are much more fun!"

"You bet your arse I am." she hollered back and galloped on.

Lokken saw Lady Dorynan riding off and held up his hand for silence. "I believe we must catch up to the Lady. If I don't stay by her side most of my time on this plane, my quest will have failed", he explained, him and the Council riding fast to catch up. "That's it. I need something better", said Lokken. Suddenly, him and the Council sat atop 14 fierce looking dragons. They swooped overhead and surveyed their surroundings. "Lokken, it is truly a miracle that you came. A Wizard Duelist, Necromancer, and Summoner combined is very hard to find. But one question? How many years did it take you to create those spell bases. You know, Death and Vengeance?" asked one of the Council. Lokken blushed but answered, "500 years. I'm still working on them, actually".

Uses his seldom used powers...

To go to Lady Moonlight...Still stinging from what happened between her and the Dragon Lord...To assist in the defense of the child...his axe in hand...he steps from the portal he opened ready and, if not able, certainly ready...

O.C. sorry it has taken me so long to post...damn the courts...justice takes too long here... :(

Staggers a bit...

The wound in his side weeping...holds his axe in both hands in a vain attempt to steady them...

I am here, M'Lady. If I am to die, then today is a good day to die. I will not go quietly into that good night, but fight...Now, I loose the dogs of war.

Shudders as a spasm of pain washes over him...Even in his werewolf form, this wound will take time to heal...and yet, he would die for the Lady at his side...For she has not shunned him for his nature...But embraced him because of it...

When you give the signal, M'Lady, I have faeries ready to open portals to your keep...To allow faster coverage of the country we have traveled...Also, my troops will come through to help us to hold the enemy here...This wiley wolf is just full of surprises, eh?
