His "hold" upon me? No my friend, you are deeply mistaken, you see, I willingly became the magic emperor. I dare you to try and attack him, hell, I dare you to attack me, you won't meet with much of a chance.

*After all, the fool could not have known that the two had a magic electric barrier around them.... could he?*

Indalecio, do you want control of Ghaleon? I put up a casting call for him, but I don't know that many people play the LUNAR games...

IC:

"Nash, what do you think you're doing? This isn't you! You're not some powerhungry mage like Ghaleon! Don't you care about all the people you're hurting by doing this?"

Hiro

Hiro took a step towards Nash and Ghaleon, then stopped. He then threw a boomerang at Ghaleon. It bounced off an ivisable electric field.

"Heh. You tried to guad me into a trap, too bad. My gut warned me in time though."

He stood his ground, then he cast White Dragon Protect on Jessica and himself using the White Dragon Crest.

"So... what should we do now, ugly?" this was directed at Ghaleon.

Yea! I guess two roles won't be hard upon me.

[Ghaleon]

Hurting people Jessica? My goodness no. We have no intention of hurting anybody, we just wish peace for Lunar. The only way that will ever happen is if Myself and Nash rule it, together.

*Nash nodded as Ghaleon grinned, a unspoken evil upon his face.*

"Trust me Ghaleon. The world I come from knows peace without you. Nash of course helped with that peace, but not as some reject copy of the Magic Emperor."

He didn't know if these words would affect Nash or not, he could only hope for the best.

 

[Trist]

"You think the world will be peaceful with your ruling? I think I recall the last time you tried to take over LUNAR, Ghaleon. It was anything but peaceful..."

Jessica stood silent for a moment with the rememberance of the entire thing.

"Whether your intentions are for good or evil, you can only do harm. The world is good as it is... Life was perfect before the Magic Emperor ever came about..."

Nash

Was it truly Jess? Was it truly? It was always the same ordeal over and over, a evil starts to hover over Lunar, a kid must make friends and become a dragon master to beat this evil, which he eventually does. The process just repeats itself, it is just a spiral of death. Ghaleon knows what true beauty is. You saw exactly what I did on the Grindery, and you saw all those flowers, as well as that blooming nature, those saved fairies. With me and Ghaleon ruling Lunar, there will be no more place for evil, don't you understand?

*Rather than fighting, Nash was attempting to cause his childhood friend to turn sides, maybe she would if he spoke long enough, as well as wisely enough. Nash ignored that reject comment, he would just blast Hiro with Ghaleons combined power with his own.*

"Yeah, I saw the flowers and fairies in my own time. And yes I understand that it is all but a endless cycle, but that's life. Get over it. Good and evil, not trying to control the other, but trying to find balance. If Ghaleon takes over, the balance is destroyed. What then? Some very powerful evil comes along and controls everthing after Ghaleon's so-called peace, that's what!"

 

[Trist]

"If you and Ghaleon ruling the world is the only way for us to acheive peace, then I don't want peace. I want each person to be in control of themselves... No one wants some ultimate power telling them how to live and being in a constant fear of the power harming them."

"She's right, you know? That's what the Goddess Althena wanted for us, yourselves included."

He remembered what the old Luna hologram had said to Lucia on top of the Goddess Tower.

"Why do you think that we humans cannot live in peace without a dictator?"

Ghaleon

Jessica... sweet, naive Jessica. You must look at the big picture, in order for people not to be harmed, there should be a ultimate power ruling over them. Besides, you should agree, unless you want your father to fall into a fate of that worse than petrification...

*Ghaleon began a slight chuckle, and Nash whirrled his head around, looking at the his mentor.*

Nash: Ghaleon! You wont harm a hair on Mels head! In fact, you won't hurt a single person who is related to Jessica in any way!

What about Hiro? He has gotten to know her quite well.

Nash: He is a mistake of the past! A future man in the past does not belong, but as far as people who actually live in Lunar, you won't touch them!

Very well...

*Well... what was this now? seemed there was fighting within the family, probably the best weakness to expose.*

 

[Trist]

"You believe Ghaleon at his word, Nash? And it is said that I am naive... Nash, when I was a child, Ghaleon promised me that he would always look after me. He promised that he would see me through life, growing up to be a happy and successful girl with him as not only a friend of my fathers, but of mine."

Jessica lifted her dress slightly to show a scar on her right leg. It was a deep wound, one obviously made by magic.

"Does this look like he protected me? He tried to kill me, Nash... And I don't doubt that he would again."

"I AM NOT A MISTAKE! NIETHER ARE MY FRIENDS! Lucia, Ronfar, Leo, Jean, and Lemina, your descendent!" He screamed the last part at Nash.

"She would tell us stories about her ancestors, you inperticular. About how you changed the way the Magic Guild operated for the better. About the kind hearted man, husband, and father you were. If she was here with me now, she would be so ashamed of you. Not because of what you are doing, but because you are running away from your problems. Instead of being yourself, your just mimicking Ghaleon."

Nash

Mimicing? I am only mimicing as much as a son would do the same job as his father before him. There is no doubt in my mind that I was a great father and an excellent husband, but I'm afraid the only way that could happen now is if Mia accepted me for the magic emperor.

Ghaleon: Speaking of your friends Hiro? How do you know they are not in danger? How do you know they did not appear here in Lunar as well? As a matter of fact, poor Ronfar and Mauri could have been eaten alive by currs by now. My only real concern is that traitorous white knight... which that dilema should soon be solved.

*And with that Ghaleon disappeared, it was obvious now that Hiro was not the only hero who arrived in past lunar, obviously, at least Ronfar, Mauri, and Leo had too.*

 

[Trist]

Jessica dropped her dress back over her legs, pretty sure that Nash didn't care enough to notice. She was hurt by this... But she was even more hurt by the fact that he was trying to emulate Ghaleon. It seemed that both would befriend her, betray her, and leave her the mess that she had become.

"Why must you do this, Nash? Not only to the world, but to me?"

She felt a little self-centered by saying this, but she had to ask what ate away at her.

Hiro

Hiro began to laugh. And hard.

"That idiot! He thinks he can scare me with empty threats. He can obviously read minds, because that is not the same Ghaleon I met in my own time. Besides, when he slayed my Lucia before my very eyes, I rammed his sword straight through his black heart! With his final breath, he threw me back to this time. So I know that my friends are safe."

He then turned his gaze upon Nash. "And you... I just feel sorry for," his voice proved that he meant it.

Ghaleon

*Obviously, Jess and Hiro had not seen where Ghaleon appeared, which was right behind them, charging a spell. It was not meant to hit Hiro at all, but Jessica, she was the only one currently strong willed enough to allow Nash to change his ways and betray him, and Ghaleon couldn't allow that.*

[Nash]

*Nash quickly saw Ghaleon materialize behind the two, he was chanting a very powerful spell. The wizard quickly sprung up from the throne, knowing exactly where the spell had been directed, and ran to jess, shoving her to the side as a large blast slammed into Nash's chest, sending the magician flying into the throne, breaking it. Nash's body was now still, and smoking.*

Hiro

Noticing the smoking body of Nash.

"YOU BASTARD!! HOW COULD YOU ATTACK THE ONLY PERSON WHO LOOKS UP TO YOU AS A FATHER!!!"

Not even allowing the madman to answer, he leapt at him with all his rage. So shocked was Ghaleon that he didn't even notice Hiro till he felt the energy off the black blade. He dodged, but Hiro managed to remove a good portion of Ghaleon's left eye and cheek.

Noticing what he did, Hiro was now the one who was stunned.

"My Goddess, that's why you look the way you do in my time."

 

[Indalecio]

Ghaleon

*Ghaleon fell to his knee, clutching his face with an insane yell, re rose again, a maniacal laugh upon his face as he did so. Ghaleon was bleeding, and his blood seemed to be purple. It crystalyzed rather fast, and now Ghaleon was obviously pissed off.*

I have not the tiome to deal with an imbecile like yourself, Lunar shall be mine!

*And with that, he was gone.*

Hiro

After Ghaleon left, Hiro ran over to Nash, who had Jessica healing him. He looked at the young man.

"Come on Nash. You'll be alright. Please snap out of it."

He then began to cry. Crying over the insanity that is Ghaleon. He was a plague, destroying life where ever he went.

 

[Trist]

"Nash!"

Jessica ran back to her injuried friend, beginning to cast heal spells as soon as she was able. She looked back to see what Hiro did to Ghaleon, shivering at the sight of her childhood hero being maimed in such a way.

She looked back to Nash.

"Nash...are you alright?"

She could feel Ghaleon's disappearance by a slight chill in his magical exit, and she heard Hiro's words and sobs soon after.

Nash

*He continued not to move, all the healing spells really did were change Nash from smoldering to non smoldering, the attack was quite powerful, and not a normal man could survive it. They needed to get Nash to the church of Althena, only the high preistess there had enough powers as to heal Nash to his state. Until then it was obvious...

Nash was dying...*

Hiro

"Jessica, your spells are not working, is there anyone who can help us?" he asked her through tear stained eyes.

He hadn't felt this helpless since he watched Ghaleon slay Lucia. He felt so weak, so defenseless.

 

[Trist]

Jessica gently swept her arms beneath Nash's shoulders, lifting him from the ground carefully. She then turned him towards the ceiling, placing one arm beneath Nash's knees.

Jessica looked like she would be no stronger than Mia... But after seeing her in battle, one would realize she was not much far behind Alex in physical strength. She was well toned and strong willed... Even if Nash were to heavy for her to carry, she would manage it somehow.

"I don't think there is anything we can do but get him to the Goddess Tower..." she spoke truthfully.

Hiro

She was strong, he could tell that, but what was needed was speed.

He pulled out a talisman, the Hero's Talisman. With it, he called upon Burning Rage. Jessica and his strength increased ten fold. He then cast the spell Speed Storm on himself. His speed was soon unparralled. He lifted up Jessica and Nash with ease.

"These spells won't last, so point me in the direction of the Goddess Tower and I can get us there, if not part of the ways, a lot faster that normal."

He awaited her answer as he ran out the door carrying the two.
