It was COLD here today, with snow flying most of the day, but it didn't lay on the ground. The roads I have to travel on are now ice free...so if it would just warm up, it wouldn't be all that bad.

How's things in your corner of the world?

It snowed about an inch and a half last night but warmed up enough to melt it all today. It's gonna freeze all that melt overnight so I can ice skate to work tomorrow woohoo (NOT),,,

If you're ice skating talents are like mine, you better break out the pads...elbow pads, knee pads, buttocks pads....and don't forget the helmet! :p

Ok my bucket list… Well I’ve done quite a bit on my list already but I didn’t get to go fishing while I was in Florida and the Bahamas so mako shark fishing or fishing for record bill fish with light tackle is still on my list… My AV isn’t just for show it’s the real deal…;)

That's a mightly big rod you're casting in that AV! :devil:

I can't remember where it was in Alaska, but I remember seeing a river....more like a big stream, that was loaded with red salmon. I was quite impressed at that age.

Not really I've got a bigger one!;)
I had a buddy that was in Juneau a few years ago when the kings were running through. He said the water was boiling with them and it looked like you could walk across the river on top of em...

Wasn't like that in August though whe I was there... I never got a King... I got a few Silvers (Coho) a couple Chum and a couple Pinks... The rod in my AV is my salmon rod that I decided to try and jig for Halibut with it... That pic is when I hooked a 40# hali. with it.. Fun 20 minute fight!

Have you ever been around Fairbanks? That's the area I lived in in the late 60's.

I only fish a little bit relatively speaking....

Nope I haven't been to Fairbanks yet... Maybe next trip to Alaska but that may be a couple more years down the road...
 
So you got me hooked on talking fishing sorry it really is one of my passions!

So besides the Playground what do you do for fun???;)
