It was a nice evening. I always enjoy a cool room when sleeping though sometimes it is hard to get out from under the covers when the room is cold and I am nice and warm under the covers.

Sounds like fun. What course are you playing on the Eastern Shore? I am playing in a tournament at the local club I belong to. It is just a fun tournament.

I've been skulking around DIY boards instead of Lit recently. I'm in the middle of a bathroom renovation. God, I hope it's the middle. Of course it should have been finished by now, but... Y'know. So sick of living with everything in the house covered in plastic sheeting. But the alternative is drywall dust everywhere.

You doing the whole reno yourself? I have put in a new half bath in a basement before but never done a full bath or had to deal with old plumbing.

I have an amusing story now but was not at the time. I ran the water line for the new bath off a horizontal cold water pipe. I was soldering the copper pipe and the water from the 2 stories above kept draining into the pipe I was trying to solder keeping it cool enough that it was not taking the solder. I read that if you stick bread in each of the pipe it will hold the water back and then later dissolve so that is what I did and it worked fine except the article did not specify white bread so being a dummy I used whole wheat but when the bread dissolved all the little seeds in the bread clogged up the strainer on the faucet. I thought I had done something wrong when no water would come out of the faucet. Lol.

Ha! The devil is really in the details. I'm sorry to laugh, but that is funny. I'm not brave enough to try copper. CPVC for me. With all the mistakes and rework I've had to do, I've saved enough money not wasting copper that I can afford really nice tile.

I was what the hell is coming up through the sewer. I peaked down the pipe ready to jump back and it was the hamster that had gotten lost a month or two before. Lol. I guess it was eating from the dog dish and living in the rough-in. Kids were happy.

Yep, but I'm having a professional waterproof the shower and do the tile.
