Women are the ones that have to deal with the consequences of pregnancy. Less people are in monogamous, committed relationships. This leave them in a vulnerable state physically and financially.

Additionally, hormonal birth control impacts our lives in different ways so many women are moving away from the hormonal BC to other forms, that are not as effective.

So those are all likely contributing factors.

Everything is trial and error and I think men need to understand women’s bodies as much as their own impact on those bodies. Missionary is good for making love where you can kiss your partner and look in their eyes. There are other positions that are more physically stimulating, but missionary is the most emotionally intimate.
