Lit Get Together

People are talking awfully "frisky" about this get-together, with all this discussion of orgies and body paints. I'm not sure if we're ready to go to that level right off the bat. Is that the sort of thing that happened at the first get-together?

Personally, I think it might be more comfortable if all went for dim sum or ordered suite service [one up from room service] and got to know one another before we make plans to get wild. You know; see what happens and all that. While my wife and I are comfortable with hot tubs and the like, I'm not sure we're ready to get into chocolate body paints and probable extensions thereof right away.

That could change, of course: we could decide that y'all are such a cool group that we want to get down to some serious whoopee immediately, but I'm not sure I'm comfortable planning for it.

No, the first meeting was at a retaurant, and all clothes stayed on. However one of the nice things about a suite (2-rooms) is that there will be a place for those who are interested the choclate and dice, and stil leaving room for those who are not.

Nah, we are just teasing, for the most part, about all the friskiness.....we have all only met each other once, I doubt most people will feel comfortable with anything beyond teasing at this getogether......and for anyone who does, there will be two rooms in our hotel room, so everyone can still be comfortable

I promise everyone that this will be a fun, (mostly) innocent getogether. Please don't feel uncomfortable in the least about meeting us......we are a fun group of people, and I swear there will be no activities which will make anyone feel uneasy. Last time, the raciest part of the getogether was either the conversation, or the party favors......both of which should be just fine for anyone open-minded enough to be on Lit.

I hope you are all having a LOVELY weekend.....seeing as it's noon and I just got up, I have a lot of things to do......so I'll be talking to you all later

Well, that's kind of what I thought...

Incidentally, if people do want to go to a strip club, a friend of ours works at a place called "Choice." I don't know where it is nor nothin', but if people do want to go to one, that might be worth considering. I'm sure she'd be no end of amused if we "brought" a bunch of people there.

She still won't sleep with me/us, but oh well...

This does sound like fun, and I'm hoping we can make it. I wasn't really feeling uncomfortable, just trying to get a feel for the tenor of things.

All sound like some really good ideas... so what is near by Choice and Sex World in as far as restruants are concerned; I am less than familiar with downtown Minneapolis. So I am a poor one to ask for directions... without mapquest I'd be lost.

I guess back to the City Pages for ideas....

I can't find any pictures of The Dagda, but this is a picture of the Cerne Abbas Giant, a figure cut into the chalk hills of Dorset. He bears certain striking similarities to the Dagda Himself, including a giant dong and an enormous club.

The Dagda http://www.fjordstone.com/twilight/daghda.html is called "The Good God," not because He's particularly "nice," but because He is possessed of many skills. He's a God of fertility and crops; one of the eldest of the Gods and due to His wisdom, power and years enjoys a position of leadership while controlling the heavens, the climate, and time and protecting contracts, friendship, and those things necessary for the orderly functioning of society. The Dagda, despite His authority is still a jovial figure. He can act as a stern and wise advisor or comical entertainer what ever his mood dictates. He has a weakness for women and can be quite the charmer. He has been known to use His charms on important female figures among the enemies of His followers.

There's a song about Him that says

"Oh, the Dagda's a God at the peak of His prime;
No bare-cheeked lad is He
With the strength and the wit to match any other God
And the appetites of three.

He will eat up all your food
And drink up all you've brewed
And of maidenheads soon you'll have none..."

While I don't pretend to have His wisdom or endowment, He's my Patron God and I hope that He is pleased [and perhaps amused] at my using His name as my nickname here.

Hm. I'll have to think about that. There's a restaurant called Sappor that's in that general area, but they're a bit pricey. I'll have to think about what else is nearby. Don't know downtown MPLS that well, I'm afraid.

Hehe, I'm getting excited, it's not too much longer until the next getogether

Chips and I were throwing around an idea......what do you guys think of meeting at a hotel that's a bit out of the city, and then driving as a group down to Sex World and Choice? The restaurant we go to could be near the hotel. That way we can save a bit of money on the room, and not have to pay for parking. Anyone meeting us at Sex World could just drive down there first, then follow us back to the hotel. How does that sound??

6:30 is a good time to start.

In St. Louis Park, there is a hotel on 394 and Xinia, right next to a strip mall which has a good Chinese restaurant, from there it is a short drive into downtown on 394

I think I know where you are talking about.....which hotel??

Anything off 394 would be awesome, since it leads directly to Washington, where Sex World is.....lemme check out hotels online today, and all will be good.
