I'm afraid I'm not going to be able to make it this Saturday. The other event I'm involved in likely won't be over until 8:00, maybe later. (I finally got time confirmations from people. Yay, communication ) After which, since I'm one of the coordinators, there will be clean up and all that. And at 9:00, I'm not really up to driving down to the Cities for a couple hours. So... maybe next time? If I'm still around by then...

Dizz! No! Dammit, lol......ok, come if you at all can......and definitely let me know when you are leaving, I'll get something together before then.

That goes for everyone, actually......if you have any big vacation-type things, or even a certain date that won't work, in August, please let me know, either on the thread or in PM, so I can try to find a date that works for everyone (or most people, at least).

I already know it can't be the 6th-10th.....b/c if I'm planning it, I'd like to be there, and I will be in NYC then. But any time other than that, before I am leaving (the 23rd or so?) will work for me. If you don't get your dates to me, though, I won't know which ones are bad for you and I'll end up just picking a date, which means that many of you could possibly not be able to make it......and as anyone that's planned events before knows, low turnout sucks.

I am comprising a list of events that are going on in MN through August.......most of these (ok, basically all of these) are BDSM events, mostly because I don't know of any other events going on around here

Anyway, if you'd like to get a calendar, but you can't come to the getogether, please send me a PM and I will get one to you asap

One last question.

The lack of people responding, and abundance of people who have told me they can only "maybe" come, or definitely can't come.....is really depressing me......to put work into planning this and have no one be able to come is not fun.

It is looking like we'll be changing the getogether to just a restaurant thing if not enough people can come to cover the cost of the hotel. I am not willing to spend $60-80 by myself to pay for a hotel room. Also, with no one else offering to reserve the room, I am put in the position of asking my parents if I can reserve a room and making up some lie to explain it. That's not too cool with me.

So our options are this......

~ If people actually TELL ME that they can come, and I know we have at least 8 definite people, we can keep Saturday as the date and stay at the hotel.

~ If no one responds to this post, as has been the norm lately, I will be forced to change the getogether to just dinner, and we won't have anywhere to go after the restaurant closes.

~ We can change the date to Friday, either the 18th or the 25th. I need feedback RIGHT AWAY on this, guys, and definite answers, not "I dunno".......if you can't come, and either Friday works better for you, tell me......and if you can come now, but won't be able to if I switch it to Friday, tell me that too.



I'm sorry to do this to you guys, and I hate to be bitchy like I think this post is, but I am really getting frustrated with planning an event that no one is going to. So I really, really need some feedback from you guys, very soon.......thank you very much

If we were to change the dates, either of those Fridays would work for me, though I think I would prefer the 25th. I'll have a bigger paycheck by then. But I could swing this Friday as well, it'll just be tight. But I hear tight is good.

But, this Saturday is definitely out, for me. I want pictures!!!

Friday would be more accomodating I think... people tend to have more family responsibilites on the weekend... but you know my deal....

I hate to see you getting frustrated you do such a fine job getting it all together. I know I apprecaite the efforts you put in. So in case I hadn't told you before...

Perhaps Friday the 25th will work better for everyone.....I'll check with Chips, since he doesn't usually check this thread often, and try to get word out by IM too......we have a day or two to decide, I suppose

So right now the date is up in the air. Those of you who were planning to come on the 19th, please don't plan to do anything else......if we stick with the 19th, we will need all the people who can come

If I get a few more people who tell me they can definitely make it on the 25th, we will move it to then. That gives me more time to plan, anyway.

OK, the plan is we are switching it to next Friday, July 25th. Now, I haven't checked this with my parents yet, so hopefully they're not planning to be going to North Dakota.....but assuming all is ok with them, we will be having the getogether on the 25th.

I am thinking that the hotel thing will work out if we have enough people, like it seems we do. What do you guys think?

Sorry 'bout that......just that there were very few people who could make it the 19th, and it seems almost everyone can make it to something on the 25th.

Okay, I've been looking around, and there are cheaper (and better places, I think) near the MoA. I was wondering first, though, would any of you be planning on staying that night. I was looking at rooms with two beds in any case, just to accomodate, but if you're staying, drop a note. Thanks.

Okay, I can get a room a the Ramada right across from the MoA for $75.68 (before taxes, I'm assuming). 1 queen bed or 2 double beds, non-smoking. The picture they had of the pool was extremely cool.
